Ghost Tours Launched at Royal Couple's Home

She's brought fresh spirit to the Royal Family - but Kate Middleton also has to shack up with some old ghosts.

Kensington Palace, where she lives in London with new husband Prince William, is rumoured to be haunted. And now bosses are opening up the historic home - first bought by King William III and wife Mary in 1689 - for a series of spooky ghost tours.

Stories collected in the warders' log book over the years include numerous reports of screams, bumps and ghostly sightings.

For four nights on the Halloween weekend, from October 28 to 31, tourists can hear all about the rumoured ghosts of Queen Mary, Peter the Wild Boy and the anonymous sinister figure who stands at the window (not to be confused with Prince Edward).

A source said: "For years now there have been rumours about Kensington Palace being haunted. In the evenings, the place has an atmosphere all of its own.

"There are lots of strange and unusual stories which the warders have logged over the years. There are bumps in the night and that kind of thing. It's fascinating stuff and not for the faint-hearted."

Wills and Kate, both 29, will spend most of this year at their main residence in Anglesey, where William works as a search and rescue pilot. But they are expected to be in London more next year.

William spent much of his childhood in the palace with his mum, Princess Diana.

Kate has filled their flat at the palace with scented candles and cushions to make it cosy.

Parts remain a building site as it undergoes a £12million refurbishment, expected to be completed by the Queen's Jubilee year in 2012. - mirror

OK...well, this was just a walk-through (a few hours) of the location but some of the evidence collected in the brief time the team was there gave us an indication of what we were up against.

The initial investigation included voice recordings and video of the main floor and basement of the building. The upper floors will be probed on the next visit.

There was substantial verification of much of the activity and objects perceived during the remote view, namely the constant 'touching' by an entity, many of the objects on the main floor, a hidden passageway, some of the history of the location (much more research needs to be done), paranormal hotspots not originally provided by the clients as well as descriptions of voices and apparitions experienced by the clients.

There were several disembodied voices heard during the session, but in particular:

Sunny stated she heard a very clear voice while monitoring through Skype. After going back through the EVP recordings there was a very distinctive voice recorded. In fact, it is probably the best EVP we have every collected. For various reasons, we have decided not to release it just yet.

Also...after the team started to pack up they were gathered together talking with the clients (4 people in all) when suddenly a loud gargled scream (described as a child's) was let out from the direction of the floor near a seating area. Everyone was instantly alarmed and acknowledged hearing it.

Coffee Shop - first onsite investigation - Saturday, 27 August, 2011.

Onsite: Irene, Brian, Linda, Barry, and clients Paul and Simon off and on.

On meeting the client, Paul, at his front door, we did a walkabout of the living space upstairs. Paul first showed us all the areas where there had been paranormal occurrences. The hallway downstairs gave off the feel of how old the building was, but as we reached the rooms upstairs, the feeling changed. The living quarters had been very tastefully decorated throughout in modern style. While being shown around, most areas felt very comfortable, until we got to the master bedroom. (This floor was originally part of the attic. There were two bedrooms and a bathroom with a small hallway dividing them, the bedrooms had the sloping ceilings of the roof of the house.) Entering the master bedroom was like being hit with an energy so uncomfortable I immediately started to feel ill. My chest felt as if it was being crushed, my ears felt as if they were going to burst. I felt sick and my legs went like jelly....I had to get out.

Next, we went into the business part of the building an upscale coffee shop with cellars under. It was decided that this was the area that we would cover on this visit, leaving the living area for the next visit.

Walking through the main door into the coffee shop, again, the atmosphere felt wrong...there was heaviness about it. As the others started to set up the equipment and connect the team in the USA up to us by Skype, Paul took me down to the cellar. We walked down the stone steps, Paul going first, followed by me, who was followed by the sound of disembodied footsteps. Reaching the bottom of the steps, we then entered one of the three rooms that made up the cellar. As we went through the door, a hanging water pipe started to sway back and forth on its own accord. I attempted various tests to try and recreate this movement, even to the point of jumping up and down on the concrete floor, but nothing worked. There was no way I could make this rigid pipe move on its own.

Following this, we all met up again in the coffee shop, close to the counter, and were talking with the client, Paul. He was telling us about the many times he felt a sensation on his back, and as he was relating this, Brian suddenly moved out of the way whilst saying he had just been touched on the back, I moved into the same position that Brian had previously stood and felt a sensation of a finger being run down my spine, Everyone agreed this is what we had all felt.

The evening carried on with the usual Orbs moving around, and many of these could be ruled out as dust from the carpet but some were interesting. Linda had a sensation of someone blowing in her ear, which none of the team could debunk as being a draft. All through the investigation there was a strong feeling of being observed.

There was a point in the investigation when client Paul turned on his 2 infrared cameras in the shop, which were wired to a television on the wall. As we all stood around watching, a mist moved across the screen and orbs aplenty were crossing the room from the old fireplace to the direction of the cellar door and disappearing through it.

I decided to take my infrared hand camera and go through the door myself. As I proceeded down the stone steps I heard squeals of excitement from the team. Apparently, up until now, all the orbs had been traveling in one direction, as previously mentioned. But as soon as I went through the door, they all started to come back up and out into the shop, witnessed by the team watching the television. One of the team commented that it was as if they were trying to flee away from me.

Time went by and we decided to call it a night, we had got as much as we could in the way of filming, photos and recordings and all were feeling the strain of the investigation.

Everything put away, we were standing talking, none of us more than 4 foot away from each other, when all of a sudden a heart- wrenching scream came out of nowhere, It was as if it was there beside us, as if it was coming up out of the floor, so loud as if someone was in such pain or fear. All of us heard it at the same time and was so flabbergasted that beside me saying “what the #### was that” the rest of the team had their jaws dropping as we all looked blankly at one another. After a short skirt about the floor and shop trying to debunk this EVP, we gave up and left the building.

(When first talking on the telephone earlier during the week, the client did tell me about a time when he was in the cellar and the door would not open, trapping him in there. As he was trying to get out, he heard a scream coming from the shop floor above, although the shop was closed and locked up. As soon as the scream finished, the door released itself and he was able to exit.)

Arriving home, I decided to listen to the recordings we had made. The usual recordings where the recorder had been in a locked off empty cellar room showed signs of movement on the floor and a few sighs, that’s all. The last recording made during a discussion we were having on the shop floor with the team from the US gave us a very disturbing EVP, so much so that when I heard the recording the cup of tea I was drinking ended up on my wall opposite where I had been sitting. It came as a shock, as I was not expecting it.

My only regret of this night was that when the scream happened all the equipment had been packed away but next time I will make sure that at least one recorder gets left out and switched on until we have vacated the building.

Wednesday, 31st August, I received a concerned telephone call from Paul, the client. It was evening and Paul had decided to go down to the shop and relax and read the paper, leaving his girlfriend who had not been too well to her own space in the living accommodation above. Sitting there drinking a can of Coke and reading a paper in the same vicinity where we had been standing when we heard the screaming EVP, Paul was shocked to hear the scream himself exactly as we had experienced, it took him by surprise and like my tea his Coke went everywhere.

There were many unusual things heard by the team that were listening in to the investigation on Skype even down to the fact that the EVP caught was heard as well. although no one onsite heard it. I can only think this was because computers, like recorders, are electronic.

The EVP will be posted by Lon in due course.

NOTE: There was another location investigation on Saturday September 3rd. Details are forthcoming after the evidence is examined. More on-site sessions are planned...there are other active areas of the premises that need to be probed before a clearing can be initiated. As well, we are working actively on a possible UFO / unknown entity infestation in Grayson County, Texas. Psychologists Discover We've Been Underestimating the Unconscious Mind

What does consciousness do? Theories vary, but most neurologists and cognitive psychologists agree that we need awareness for integration. That is, unconscious processing can take in one object or word at a time. But when it comes to pulling together disparate stimuli into a coherent, complex scene, consciousness gets to work.

Now, new research by four Israeli psychologists—Liad Mudrik and Dominique Lamy of Tel Aviv University, and Assaf Breska and Leon Y. Deouell of Hebrew University of Jerusalem—suggests that scientists have been underestimating the abilities of the unconscious mind. “Integration can happen even when we’re unaware of the stimulus,” says Mudrik. “Unconscious processes are much more sophisticated and deeper than was previously believed.”

The findings will be published in the June issue of Psychological Science, a journal of the Association for Psychological Science.

To test this idea, the researchers put their subjects—18 men and women with normal vision—before a stereoscope, which allows stimuli to be introduced to each eye separately. In one eye, “Mondrians”—changing patterns of color blocks—continuously flashed, suppressing perception of other objects. In the other eye the subjects saw images of people interacting with objects. Some scenes were “congruent”: a woman putting food in an oven; a player handling a basketball. Others were “incongruent”: the woman putting a chessboard in the oven; the player holding a watermelon. The pictures were present during the entire viewing, but increased in contrast over several seconds, as the Mondrians grew fuzzier in the background.

The participants were instructed to press one of two buttons as soon as they detected the hemi field, or side of the one eye’s vision, in which the picture appeared. The experimenters compared the time participants took to respond to congruent versus incongruent scenes.

The incongruent scenes broke through the visual noise and came into awareness significantly faster than the congruent ones.

Why? “During unconscious processing, subjects are able to integrate object and background without the need for awareness,” Mudrik explains. “When the integration of the incongruent scene happens, though, it doesn’t make sense.” That’s not a cookie sheet. It’s a chessboard! “Then consciousness is recruited to make sense of an integration that does not come out properly.”

The research, says Mudrik, is rich with potential. In terms of theory, it “opens the gate” to a new understanding of the complex functioning of awareness.

But it also has implications for daily life. “These findings give us information about the resources we allocate to everyday actions. Say you are driving and talking on a cell phone. What we’ve shown is that you are doing some unconscious processing; we can perform many quite sophisticated actions at one time.

“But we have to bear in mind that this only works as long as things go according to plan. When things go wrong—say, a child runs into the road—our unconscious system cannot deal with it.” In other words, it’s wise to keep some perceptual resources in reserve for those novel situations, whether they are life threatening or simply weird. - medicalexpress

Strange Lights Over Northern Afghanistan

Hi, long time reader first time writer to you. I'm prior service from the military and I served in the Army for five years, during those times, I never saw or heard or experienced anything out of the ordinary or unexplained during my time in service except for one incident which I will describe.

After I was honorably discharged in early 2009, I worked as a defense contractor for a small company out in Virginia, my job entailed deploying overseas for several months at a time. After being hired on I deployed to Northern Afghanistan to one of the Forward Operating Bases there. Ironically I ran across the story on your site about the alleged haunted outpost the Marines took over in December of 2009, a few days before the incident.

This was close to New Years in December of 2009. I was in the office and monitoring message traffic when I noticed a peculiar email and attached report. One of the Forward Operating Bases reported seeing lights near a valley adjacent to a nearby mountain top. One of the soldiers had reported seeing a series of lights during the evening hours as the sun was setting. According to him he thought they were possibly Coalition Aircraft and didn't pay too much attention to it. What ended up catching his attention was the fact that they were perfectly stationary and unmoving for several minutes as darkness approached. According to him the lights had a steady clear white glow to them.

Helicopters can be ruled out as the lights were near a mountain peak, and the strong wind currents as well as altitude would have made it pretty hard to keep a that sort of vehicle stationary let alone hovering safely. The terrain itself is very rugged and rough and the weather can be especially brutal at higher altitudes during the Afghan winter.

It was not an airplane either as the soldier could not make it any distinguishing characteristics or markings. After a few more minutes, according to the soldier as the sun had finished setting, the lights dimmed a bit and could not be made out as well so the soldier grabbed his night vision goggles to get a better look. (He didn't say specifically which ones he took, but most NVG gear will pick up near infrared light/heat sources if they are strong enough) He stated that the object was glowing almost "red hot" through his night vision goggles, and had an elongated cigar shape to it. Size was difficult to estimate but at least 200 feet in length.

There was no more description or detail of the incident as the report itself was spartan and the preceding emails to it were almost poking fun of the story (I honestly thought it was a prank at first, but the report had indeed gone through all the appropriate channels and was disseminated throughout the email chain). I have heard incidents similar to this before from other soldiers, but this is the first time I actually came across a real report that documented this. No Driver

Hi - In 1983/84 (?), when I was sophomore at Westwood High School in Austin, TX, I was in a car with 3 students and 2 teachers, coming back from a field trip with my Home Economics class. We were driving down Hwy 183 in Cedar Park, when we saw a gold sedan next to us with NO DRIVER in the car. We of course all crowded around the right passenger window, in amazement. We could clearly see through all the windows & could see the floorboards at all the seats in the car. There was NO ONE in that car. At all. We drove next to the car for 10-15 minutes. It turned with the road, slowed down & sped up, as if there were someone driving it. We looked for a remote control device, but the floorboards and what we could see of the outside of the car, were clear. Plus, to be remote controlled (at that point in technological history) it would have had to be controlled from another car nearby. And there were no other cars on the road with us. I wasn't afraid, I was amazed and excited. We were all trying to figure it out, it was fun! Eventually, our teacher told us to quit looking at it (???), then sped up and left it behind. I've never heard of another instance like this until today, online, when I found this - Human Enigmas

Another Manta-Ray UFO

Lon - One evening last year around dusk, with a fair amount of twilight still in the sky, I stood out in my well-lit driveway waiting to be picked up to go eat dinner. As I stood looking around, watching the sky as airplanes flew in and out of the Charlotte, NC airport (30ish miles away), something caught my eye that was much, much lower in the sky than the airplanes I had been watching. Flying directly over my head, was a translucent/transparent manta-ray shaped figure whose speed and size would suggest an extremely low altitude, maybe a little higher than a telephone pole, and maybe an 8ft wingspan. This manta-ray flew and moved in a fashion that suggested to me that it was a living creature as opposed to an aircraft. I could see directly through it but was easily able to see its shape/figure. I watched it fly directly overhead in a straight path for maybe 10 seconds, then it completely disappeared, long before it flew out of sight.

I was very shocked to find other eye-witness accounts of this creature on your site, matching what I saw down to every little detail. What are these things?

Truly an incredibly surreal experience.

The following are previous humanoid / cryptid encounter reports received by various agencies worldwide:

THE BEAST

Location: Johnson City, Tennessee - June 18, 1997 - 1:00 am

The witness and his cousin were out hunting and were sitting on the side of the wall of a rather large hollow which consisted of very thick underbrush and lots of evergreen. A larger valley then lead first to a clearing and then on to a supposed old Indian graveyard. All of the sudden they heard the brush in the hollow below rattling and they could tell that whatever was making the sounds was rather large.

The main witness was armed with a Ruger 10-22 rifle with approximately 150 rounds of ammo ready to go. Under his night vision scope he could see what appeared to be a man, but upon further inspection he realized that the "man" was a creature about 7-8 ft tall approximately 450 lbs. It was covered with thick black fur and was slimmer that the popular Bigfoot image, almost skinny with a neck. Also protruding on either side of its head were long tapered "horns" also black in color. On the top of the head also protruded a horn pointing straight up. All horns were approximately 5-6 inch in length and were the same dark color as the creature.

The terrified witness emptied a 25 round clip into the creature and then retreated into a nearby cabin about 65 ft away. The next morning they could not find anything except for lots of spent shell casings and bullet holes on a walnut tree. He thought he had struck the creature several times. Nearby animals traps had been sprung and all the bait extracted. On a nearby ridge the witnesses located a series of tunnels made up of brush and various sizes of tree limbs, vines and leaves. They thought it could have been "the lair of the beast." Afraid they returned home.

RUNNING MAN

Location: near Ajo, Arizona - Spring 2002 - 2:30 am

A 59 year-old man wondered about something or someone he saw one night while driving in the desert on the road to Ajo. He and his friends would go to Puerto Penasco, Mexico every year to fish and enjoy the sea of Cortez. To avoid the heat they would leave Colorado (San Luis Valley) about 3:00 pm and be on the road to Ajo about 3:00 am. His story:

This night I was driving a rental car and everyone else was asleep when I was passed by a naked man running in the opposite lane of the direction I was driving. He was barefoot and moving really fast! I looked in the rearview mirror as I hit the brakes to see if he needed help and he took off into the desert barefoot. As I kept driving I was looking for a car or someone who may have broken down on the road, but no one was to be seen...this really bothered me. The following year in the same area about the same time of the night I was sleeping in the backseat of the car when I woke up briefly and looked out the car window. I saw a very large dog carved out of stone similar to the Chinese stone carvings in a ditch along the highway! I believe I had seen something to do with skinwalkers but not sure.

ABDUCTED

Location: Near Cleveland, Ohio - March 11, 2003 - midnight

The witness suddenly woke up wide feeling afraid and wide-eyed. He then saw 4 creatures leaning over him. He went to reach over to his nightstand to grab his gun but as soon as he moved one the creatures pointed some sort of device at him, he heard a hum and then he could no longer move. He could not even move his eyes. He could see his wife out of the corner of his eye, but it seemed that she was still sleeping.

His next memory was of lying on some sort of gurney. He was naked and the cart was made out of cold metal. The 4 creatures were taking him down some sort of hallway. The walls were dark gray with a scaly type of texture to it. The hallway was lit up, but there were no light fixtures and he could not see the source of the light. He was no longer paralyzed but his arms and legs appeared to be restrained somehow, but there were no clamps or straps. It was as if they were magnetized to the cart.

During the brief trip down this hall, there was an open door way off to his right, he glanced into the room for a second, and was able to get a mental image as to what was in the room. There were 7 creatures, 2 were standing in front of a panel at the far end of the room. The panel had some small lights on it. Then there were 3 more to the left side of the room studying what appeared to be a holographic map of the earth. There were several red dots on the map. It seemed that they marked certain "targets" or "locations". Then there were 2 more of the creatures standing in the center of the room, facing each other...as if they were having a conversation but there was no sound. There was actually no sound in the structure that he was in. There was complete silence.

They put him in a very bright room, and again he could not see the source of the light. One of the creatures waved his hand over his face. The creature had 3 fingers, resembling 1 index type of finger and opposite thumbs. As soon as his hand went across his face, his body went numb. He was extremely groggy, but he could see what was happening. He could not speak a word. One of the creatures took a long metal object and inserted it in his nose. A sample was apparently taken then the creature inserted the same device into his mouth, reaching almost to the back of his throat. As soon as he started gagging the creature pulled the device out his mouth. One of the creatures then came towards him with something that resembled a device that measures blood pressure. The device was wrapped around the witness penis. He felt a lot of pressure and after a couple of seconds the device was pulled off. A creature then walked behind his head. His head was lifted up until his chin touched his chest. Then he felt a chunk of his hair pulled out. Soon he felt extremely dizzy and passed out.

His next recollection was of waking up in his bed at 4:30 am. His penis was sore and appeared larger than normal. He described the creatures as about 4 ft tall, they wore no apparel, there were no genitalia and their arms and legs were much longer than their torso. They were very skinny, with no muscle tone, no signs of fatty tissue, no veins and no bone structure showing through their skin. Their skin was a blue-gray color, almost like a gunmetal color. Very smooth, almost like they were made out of porcelain. Their heads were longer than wide, oval shaped, large black eyes, no retinas, veins or corneas. There was no hair on their bodies. They did not have ears. There were 3 small holes on each side of their heads. They had 2 oval openings above the mouth. Their mouths were like a slit 2" long, horizontal.

UGLY HUMANOIDS

Location: Rauma Finland - June 19, 1979 - 12:30 am

The two witnesses that lived in a rural area were sitting in their living room with the window opened when one of them caught sight of a silvery gray metallic cupola shaped object resting on the ground not to far away. The bottom of the object was blue black in color and it was emitting a blue-black beam of light from its middle section. The beam briefly swept the nearby woods then switched off. Both witnesses had now seen the object and one of them decided to have a closer look. This witness walked very close to the object and was able to see that it rested on small metallic legs. The upper part of the object was transparent and inside two small humanoids could be seen.

These were described a very "ugly" with crooked beak like noses and covered with green brown spots, they had large bulging eyes, pointed chins, large mouths and pointed ears. Both wore shiny gray helmets with antennae with a yellow line on the middle. They also wore black gloves and clothing. The witness was also able to see numerous gauges and levers inside the object. The being nearest to the witness made a sudden move and the witness was suddenly blinded and fell back. The craft then took off emitting a whistling sound. The witness eyes were irritated for the next several hours and he was briefly in a state of shock.

WINGED SCORPION HUMANOIDS?

Location: Devil's Swamp, Louisiana - June 8, 2000 - 6:30 am

41-year old Roger Mixon was hunting in an isolated and aptly named area when he came across a bizarre dark-purple color object the size of an 18-wheeler and shaped like a bat wing sitting on the ground. He could see a drawbridge type door that was opened and nearby saw three creatures attempting to capture an alligator. The beings wore what appeared to be crowns of gold had human-like faces and had long hair and sharp teeth like those of lions. They had breastplates resembling cast iron. One of the most bizarre features was the 4 wing-like protrusions and scorpion-like tail that each creature had. They did not see Mixon at first but when one spotted him he fired his 12-gauge shotgun hitting one in the chest knocking him down, but the creature quickly was on his feet again and apparently fired back with some type of implement that dangled from his waist. A beam like light struck the witness on his wrist leaving a scar. According to the witness he has lost most of the use of that arm as a result of the incident. He fired once more and the humanoids then rose up in the air and flew back inside the object. The door closed and it took off at lighting speed. The witness never hunted in those woods again.

Rumble Mystery Continues To Aggravate Residents

A mysterious rattling and humming that has shaken people living in southwest Windsor is spreading and getting worse, but authorities are still baffled about its source.

“In one house, we put a glass of water on the floor and you could see the ripples,” city Councillor Al Maghnieh told the Star on Thursday. “You could put your hand on the siding outside the house and feel the vibration.”

From a few complaints in February, Maghnieh has now heard from 1,000 people in his ward in the south and west of the city — including his own neighbours on Everts Ave. The worst time for the rumblings is between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m.

“These are not people looking for attention. They’re reporting sleepless nights.”

The provincial Ministry of the Environment investigated in April and found no “industrial” causes. That would include the prime suspect, a vast web of active and abandoned salt mines that stretch under Windsor and across the Detroit River to subterranean Detroit.

The Detroit Salt Co. still operates mines 360 metres below the city, supported by a 160-kilometre network of roads.

The Canadian Salt Co. Ltd., now owned by Morton Salt in Chicago, works the Ojibway salt mine and an evaporation plant in Windsor.

Blasting, officials said, is confined to weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Detroit Salt’s George Davis said that, unlike the Ojibway mine, the Detroit miners no longer use drilling and blasting and their second shift ends by early evening.

People in Detroit have reported similar unexplained shaking and humming, Kate Jordan of the Ministry of the Environment said Thursday.

“We want to find the source of the vibrations,” she said. “We’re working with other provincial agencies and our counterparts in Michigan. We haven’t found any evidence in Ontario.”

The Ministry of the Environment ruled out the salt mines on the Ontario side because “their operations are not coinciding with the times people are feeling these” vibrations, Teri Gilbert, issues project co-ordinator for the Windsor office, told the Windsor Star in the spring.

Wind turbines also have been struck off the list, said Earthquakes Canada’s Allison Bent, because they’re in a rural area outside of town. These unexplained sounds and shaking are concentrated in west Windsor.

Earthquake Canada sunk five ultra-sensitive seismic monitors around the city in June and seismologists are just getting the data back now for analysis.

“Enough people have heard it that is has to be something,” said Bent, a seismologist. “It can last on and off for hours.”

The shaking “is definitely not” an earthquake, she said. They would have picked that up even before June.

The federal monitors, however, will only pick up underground disturbances. If it’s above ground, she said, they might not.

Maghnieh speculated that construction of a major roadway linking Highway 401 directly with U.S. Interstate 75 and creating a new border crossing could be the source or the heavy industry operating on Zug Island, a heavily industrialized area south of Detroit.

“It’s like a low bass note, like a synthesizer,” he said. “The reports have really spiked recently. This is a very serious matter and we don’t know the health effects from it.”

Toronto architect Scott Weir, who grew up in a south Windsor salt-mining family and has a contract with Windsor for restoration work, believed a combination of effects is responsible. “The salt mines. And at that end of town, there is a lot of reclaimed land and a lot of quicksand in LaSalle. My sense is there are tunnels that go for miles. And everything in Windsor goes 24 hours a day.”

He was dubious about Zug Island, south of Detroit and across the river from Ojibway. “You can see what’s going on there.” - thestar

For months, residents of south and west Windsor have been wondering and worrying about vibrations of unknown origin.

And now, those mysterious rumblings under the city have found a new believer — the city's Ward 10 Coun. Al Maghnieh, who says it's time to start taking the phenomenon seriously.

"It's very present and real," he said.

Maghnieh added that those who think the phenomenon is a joke or that its proponents are "crazy" need to grasp the implications in terms of health and the environment.

"I mean, it's actually scary to think that this is going on and we still can't pinpoint what it is," he said.

"This is potentially very dangerous."

Maghnieh said he first started receiving calls from concerned citizens back in March.

But it wasn't until the early hours of Friday morning — when he'd arranged to visit the homes of rumble witnesses — that he experienced the sensation himself.

"It's a very sharp, consistent rumble sound," Maghnieh said. "Sometimes it's like a hum."

The city councillor said that at one point, he put a half-full water bottle on the ground and could see the vibrations causing ripples on the water's surface.

At another point, he could hear the aluminum siding of a house rattle due to the vibrations.

"It was very obvious. It was very evident," Maghnieh said. "It sent shivers up my spine."

Maghnieh said he's so far received about two dozen calls and a half-dozen emails from different people in his ward with complaints about the rumble.

When he followed up on some of the recent reports, two homeowners agreed to let him on their properties and investigate.

The time period between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. was chosen because that's when the vibrations are reportedly the most distinct.

"I don't know if it's stronger then or not. Maybe it's just because it's quieter outside," Maghnieh said.

Although the Ministry of the Environment has studied the matter and has ruled out industrial sources, Maghnieh said there needs to be further and fuller investigation.

"You can't have hundreds of people just imagining these things," Maghnieh said. "We need resources. We need co-operation. We need somebody assigned to this."

Now Maghnieh is preparing a map of his ward to track the location of the rumblings, with radii indicating where the rumblings have been the strongest.

It might not be long until the issue hits Maghnieh even closer to home: He recently finalized purchase of a house on Everts Avenue, and some of the rumbling reports he's received are from fellow Everts Avenue residents.

"On my own street," Maghnieh exclaimed. "On my new driveway, my first day arriving at my home — three different residents from three different homes came to welcome me to the neighbourhood, and the first thing they said was: 'There are rumblings here. It's bad.'"

Maghnieh said he doesn't regret buying the house. "In fact, now I'm even more motivated to get to the bottom of this." - windsorstar

NOTE: there have been reports of this rumbling sound in southern Ontario and several areas in eastern Wisconsin and central Michigan. So what is it? Witnesses say that there is a 'synthetic' sound...like machinery. Is there a chance that construction taking place in another location is somehow resonating through the bedrock? New Alien Beings Reported at Ilkley Moor, West Yorkshire

New Ilkley Moor Aliens Sighting

Odd video surfaced recently that reportedly shows two aliens hiding among the rocks on Ilkley Moor. Ilkley Moor is part of Rombalds Moor, the moorland between Ilkley and Keighley in West Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom. The area is known for strange paranormal activity including a famous encounter in 1987:


A compelling account of alien abduction that took place in 1987 in the Ilkley Moor, Yorkshire, U.K....a unique case which may include one of the very few photographs taken of a live alien being. The main character and only witness of a UFO and alien being is one Philip Spencer, a retired policeman. He claims to have been taken aboard an unidentified flying object, and captured one photograph of an unknown being.

The Ilkley Moor:

Ilkley Moor is the highest part of Rombalds Moor, the moorland between Ilkley and Keighley in West Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom. The peat bogs rise to 402 m (1,319 ft) above sea level.

Ilkley Moor is very much like you would expect: a place of mystery and intrigue, and full of legends. There have been a number of reports of UFOs over the area, along with odd lights that seem to come and go. The lights, shining through the dense fog, can play tricks on the mind. There are two places where planes come and go-Menwith Hill Military Base, and Leeds Bradford Airport. Some of the strange sightings in the moor may be attributed to plane lights, but they will not explain what happened to Philip Spencer.

Spencer had worked as a policemen for four years in another location, but to fulfill his wife's wishes to be closer to her family, he had moved the family to Yorkshire. Spencer was taking a walk across the moor one December morning to his father-in-law's house, and was hoping to take some photographs of the strange lights on the moor. He had loaded his camera with ASA rated film to get the best quality pictures he could in the less than perfect lighting conditions. He could not imagine what was to soon befall him.

A Strange Looking Creature:

Spencer also brought along a compass to help find his way in the early morning hours before sun up. He was attempting to get some good angles for his photographs, when he saw a strange-looking being through the fog. The small being was on the slopes of the moor. Spencer took aim and photographed the small creature. He felt that the being was attempting to wave him away from the area. Whatever the being was, it ran away.

UFO Leaves Moor:

Spencer wanted to know more about what this strange being was, and what it wanted. He took off trying to catch up to it. Later, he would state that he must have just acted on impulse, as he had no fear of the unknown entity at the time. As he ran toward the being, he was stunned to see an unknown flying craft with a dome on top rising up from the moor grounds. It soon disappeared into the sky. He was not quick enough to photograph the UFO.

The photograph that Spencer took of the creature on the moor was very blurry, but it is still quite evident that there is some type of being present. The being very much resembles the so-called "grays" of UFO legend. Spencer waited for a time to see if the UFO or the alien creature might return, but all was quiet across the moor. He began to make his way to the nearest village, to get his photograph developed, and as he did, he noticed that his compass was pointing south instead of north. Arriving at the village, he noticed that his watch was an hour behind.

Photographic Analysis:


The photograph that Spencer took was first analyzed by a wildlife expert. He concluded that whatever was in the photograph was not any known animal. There was no way to ascertain if the subject of the photograph was a living creature or not just by looking at the picture. A recreation of the setting of the photograph was undertaken, and it was estimated that the creature was about four feet tall. An analysis of the photograph was done by Kodak laboratories in Hemel, Hempstead. They concluded that the object was indeed part of the original shot, and not added later.

The photograph was then shipped to America to be enhanced by computer, and analyzed. Dr. Bruce Maccabee, optical physicist with the United States Navy gave his expert conclusion:

"I had great hopes that this case would prove definitive. Sadly circumstances prevent it from being so."

Spencer made no money from his photograph, and relinquished all rights to the photograph to UFO investigators.

Further Information and Conclusions:

There have been numerous theories and much speculation about the Ilkley Moor photograph. Because of the poor lighting conditions present on the moor at the time the picture was taken, it was not possible to get a complete and definite conclusion. But with Spencer being a well respected man, and not given to making up stories, it can be said with certainty that Spencer lost about an hour in the moor, saw an unknown flying object of some type, and took a photograph of some unknown creature on December 1, 1987.

As Spencer regained his missing memories through hypnosis (read transcript below), he gave a fascinating tale of alien abduction. He was taken aboard the craft that he had seen lifting up from the Ilkley Moor. He was given medical-type examinations before being released. He could now remember that it was after his release from the UFO that he took the picture.

Climatic information gathered about the conditions of December 1, 1987, made it almost impossible for Spencer to have taken his picture at the time he had stated. However, if the regressive memories are accurate, the conditions would be right to duplicate the lighting conditions of the photograph, which was taken at least an hour after Spencer thought.

The witness of a UFO/alien event is as important as the report itself. The case of Ilkley Moor rides high on the character of Spencer. Through the years, Spencer and Hough became good friends, and still see each other from time to time. There has been no change in Spencer's account of what he saw that day.

He has sought no money from the case, and signed over all copyright privileges to Hough in early 1988. Spencer desires no fame from his account. Is the picture of the Ilkley Moor alien real or was it staged? There is no way to say, as the search for more information continues.

CONTROVERSY and HYPNOSIS TRANSCRIPT


The case of the Ilkley Moor alien is one of the most controversial cases of alien abduction ever recorded in the U.K. because of the circumstances surrounding the event. At odds is the wide spread disbelief in alien abductions and the two very damning facts purporting it: the Ilkley Moor abductee was a police officer, expected to be an expert eyewitness, and the photograph of what he claims is the entity he encountered. Police officer Alan Godfrey claimed that he came across the being while crossing the Moor, in the county of Yorkshire on the morning of December 1st, 1987. He described the being as small, humanoid and green. He seemed to have startled the creature, for it took off running before halting at a safe distance and perhaps signaling him by bending it's right arm and raising it. Godfrey was carrying a camera and snapped a photo of the being, which seemed to have caused it to run off again, this time behind a large rock formation.

Godfrey gave chase, and as he rounded the rock formation he stopped dead in his tracks amazed at what was before him. A large gleaming silver domed metallic disc shaped craft stood in the clearing before him, and in an instant it shot off at incredible speed into the sky. Godfrey was unable to account for two hours after the encounter. Secondly, the photograph of the alien was badly blurred. Yet both the photo and the negative were examined by Kodak Film, which subsequently declared that the images had not been tampered with. Also, the officer noticed that his compass had switched polarity, it now pointed south instead of north.

The compass was examined by the University of Manchester's Institute of Science and Technology. Their conclusion: there were only two ways that this could have happened. Either the compass was inside a very strong magnetic field from a magnet, or had been subjected to a rapidly applied magnetic field or "pulsed" magnetic field generated by enormous amounts of electricity.

Godfrey decided to under go hypnotic regression to try and recount the missing time. Under hypnosis he was able to recount now that when he had come upon the silver craft in the clearing it had levitated him up inside of it. He described his captors as being about four feet tall "with big pointed ears and large black eyes....with three big fingers, like sausages." After apparently being examined by some type of "illuminating device" Godfrey was shown harrowing images of the earths environmental destruction. He was also shown another series of images which he absolutely refused to discuss, saying that he'd been sworn to secrecy.

Here is a transcript of the session:

JS- I want you to cast your mind back to the 1st December last year when you set off across the moor. I want you to clear your mind back to that and I want you to re-experience that. I want you to tell me what you experienced.

Spencer- I'm walking along the moor, oh! its quite windy. There is a lot of clouds. Walking up towards some trees. I see this little something, can't tell, but he's green it's moving up towards me. (We later found out that Jon had took the photo after his abduction and the creature was waving goodbye) Oh! I'm stuck I can't move and the creature still coming towards me. I'm stuck and everything gone fuzzy. I'm, I'm floating along in the air I want to get down! (He later told us he was levitated 2 feet off the ground and the creature was in front of him like a child pulling a balloon on a string). I still can't get down and I don't like it. I'm going round this corner and this green thing is in front of me. Oh God! I want to get down! (long pause) (breathing faster) There's a there is a big silver saucer thing there's a door in it. And I don't want to go in there. (worried sound in his voice) (sigh) Everything gone black now. (pause).

JS- you say everything gone black?

Spencer- Mmm! I can't see anything like I'm asleep, can't hear anything. (short pause) There's a bright light now. Can't see where it's coming from? I'm in a funny sort of room I can hear this voice saying don't be afraid. I don't feel afraid anymore. I can still see this green thing but I'm not afraid anymore of it. I'm being put on a table. I can move now if I want to, but I don't feel frightened any more and there's a beam like a pole it's above me it's moving up toward me. It's got a light in it like a fluorescent tube. It's coming up from my feet I can hear that voice again saying "we don't mean to harm you and don't be afraid." Makes me feel warm as it moves up me it's coming up over my stomach towards my head. Close my eyes I don't want to look at it in case it hurts my eyes. It's gone! (pause) there is something my nose feels funny (shows movement of nose) that's gone as well, I'm standing up now I don't know how I got stood up? I can see a door there is one of these green creatures motioning for me to come with him. Don't really want to go with him. I'd rather stay here I don't feel afraid in here (pause).

JS- Can you tell me what's happening now?

Spencer- I'm walking towards a door there is still a bright light there is light all around want to know where its coming from its just bright all around. Walking down a corridor there is a window. Oh! God!(sounds shocked)is that real? (deep sigh) (pause) (sounds afraid) don't want to be up here want to be down there? I can hear that voice again saying you've got nothing to fear. Its pretty though didn't realize it looked so pretty. (What Jon was looking at through the window was the earth seen from high in space just like the Apollo astronauts saw. Iv gone past the window now I'm walking down a corridor. (long pause)

JS- What's happening now?

Spencer- Come to the end of the corridor. There's a hole opened in it so I can walk through. I'm in a big room-a big round room, I'm on a raised platform against the wall. My camera and compass are trying to get away from me. Going towards the ball. It's difficult to pull them back down again, and this balls moved round with strange its got some blocks on it he says we cant stay in here to long he wants us to go out again the holes closed in the wall its gone strange he says I've got nothing to fear but Id still like to go home (pause) its got such big hands.

JS- What's happening now?

Spencer- Going down a corridor again. its very bright still I wish I knew where the light was coming from. And there is another door, going through a door it's an empty room two of those green creatures have come with me. there's a picture ,it's starting to move on the wall wonder how they get the pictures?

JS- Can you tell me what's happening at this point?

Spencer- I'm looking at the pictures on the wall. (long pause)

JS- Pictures on the wall?

Spencer- Mmmm. Creatures seem concerned at the damage that its doing. Picture changing now there's another picture, another film he's asking me a question he says do you understand? I said yes. It's time to go. Everything gone black. I'm walking up the moor again, I'm walking near some trees. Some movement - I can see something. A green creature. I've shouted to it. It's turned round. I don't know what it is. I'll photograph it it's turned around now. It's moving quick want to know what it is. I'm running after it, it's gone round a corner, I can't see it now. There's ... There is a saucer (laughingly), big silver saucer! It's disappeared? I'm walking on down gone past the trees.

JS- What's happening now?

Spencer- I'm going home. It's ten o'clock on the town hall clock. Can't really understand it was only eight o'clock.

JS- You mentioned some green creatures. Would you try to describe them to me?

Spencer- It's quite small. He's got big pointed ears, it's got big eyes. They're quite dark, he hasn't got a nose he's only got a little mouth. And his hands are enormous. And his arms are long. He's got funny feet.

JS- Funny feet?

Spencer- They're like a V shape like two big toes. Must be difficult to walk like that. He shuffles rather than walks. I don't feel afraid of him although he looks odd.

JS- You mentioned big hands? Can you say anymore about the hands?

Spencer- It's got three big fingers, like sausages. Big sausages. They're just very big. Bigger than my hands.

JS- About how tall would you say these creatures are?

Spencer- It's about four foot. Comes to the lump on my stomach. He's about as high as - just a bit bigger than my stomach is.

JS- Okay. Now I wonder if I can ask you another question? you mentioned a film?

Spencer- There were two films.

JS- Two films?

Spencer- One was lots of scenes of destruction like on the news. Can see lots of waste going into the river, and people like Ethiopians who are starving. It's not very good, it's not very nice.

JS- Want to say anything more about that film?

Spencer- It's much of the same thing, only different.

JS- What about the other film then? Do you want to tell me about it?

Spencer- I'm not supposed to.

JS- I'll leave that up to you entirely, do you want to say anything about that?

Spencer- I'm not supposed to tell anyone about the other film, it's not for them to know.

JS- Is there any thing more?

Spencer- No.

NOTE: over the years I have talked to several investigators about this case and the theories are all over the spectrum. The most prevalent thought is that this was not an actual alien and simply an anomaly caused by conditions on the moor. Though Spencer never sought compensation and was well regarded by people who knew him, the consensus is that overall, the story just doesn't add up. I have seen witnesses undergo hypnotic regression with a fair degree of success when a competent professional is running the session. If Spencer's regression session was legit, then I have to give his account the benefit of the doubt...Lon

Greetings Lon,

Here is an odd photograph which was taken by myself on a trip to Wales this past August 2011. My wife and I were attending our oldest sons wedding and we spent a week afterwords dogsitting while the happy couple went for a short honeymoon to the Isle of Jersey. On Monday August 22, we spent the day exploring the Brecon Beacons in Wales. There we spent a lovely afternoon having a picnic on one of the higher peaks and had great views of the surroundings. I had my camera and took many photographs that day. When I returned home and examined the frames of the digital images I found many anomalies (which always give me a brief thrill) on this outing I was floored to see what only can be discribed as a FLYING SQUID in the upper corner of the photograph. I have always believed in the theory of life forms living in the upper atmosphere of our planet, but that was only a theory. Thank you for your time.

Dallas, Texas 7-28-2011: My brother, a friend and myself were on the front porch when I looked to the east and noticed something that seemed completely out of place. It was brighter than a star or a planet and it seemed to be pulsating and hovering. Commercial aircraft flies overhead regularly and it was much larger and higher altitude. I brought it to my brother and friend's attention and we began watching it closely. It seemed to drift and then hover and then pulse. When it was obvious that it wasn't a plane or a planet (I used my Skyview iPhone application to debunk any planets around or visible... there weren't any visible in that area) we went and got our binoculars and realized it had a specific shape. A triangular shape with at least 3-5 distinct circular orb like shapes at each point with what looked like electrical current running between all the points. I began taking zoomed in pictures with my iPhone and then grabbed my expensive zoom lens Canon camera and rapidly took about 302 photographs. For some reason my cell phone battery went from 88% to 18% within a matter of 15 minutes. This also affected my friend's cell phone battery power as well. It increased in size and rapidly pulsed and while I was watching it thru the binoculars it seemed like 3 other craft split from the center leaving the original object less pulsating and only white light... the other three objects had the spectrum of light in a pattern and were darting to various points and hovering with the colored lights pulsating in a pattered around each craft. The shape of the original object seemed to change as well and become more of a disk like shape. The other 3 objects with colored lights were boomerang shaped. We drove at least 20 miles east to Rockwall, Texas's Lake Ray Hubbard. We parked and continued to watch the objects but they decreased in size and weren't pulsating as much as before. By 5:30am they seemed to be gone. NOTE: These photo were enlarged and cropped from the high definition photos taken by the witness.

Odd thing

I have had a few odd things happen to me but nothing that i wish to go into at the moment. bar this event i am about to tell you. I was living in a small town in the midlands in Ireland at the time. and i had just been to the pub after a few drinks with a friend and his girl friend and my girl friend. we all parted company at the bottom of this little alley way as we were all going in different directions. this alley way always spooked me and i have had a feeling that somebody was just behind me really uncomfortable and one each time i used this alley way home which was not often the feeling of something not nice behind me would be stronger i never saw anything on a few occasions it spooked me badly that i sprinted to the end of the alley way even though i never saw anything anyway back to the story in hand this particular night the street lights started to flicker and go out when i would approach them four lights in order this happened to before i reached the lights i was really spooked and ran home not looking back i never used that alley way again and even now when i visit Ireland (home) i stay away from it and take the long route home three years later when i was speaking to a local historian about the area we lived in which encompasses this alley way he told me it was once the site of a mass grave from the Irish famine from the local work house (which by the way still stands and a lot of young people seem to be hanging themselves there) maybe it is just me spooking myself maybe there is something to it my instinct is normally very good for the usual in the more mundane circumstances in Afghanistan (as a soldier) i'll share this experience and see if anybody has had a similar experience to me.
