Odd Elongated Crater Found On Mars

ESA - This crater, known as Orcus Patera, is a strange, elliptical crater located near Mars's equator. Roughly 240 miles long by 90 miles wide, its elongated shape doesn't fit with standard models of crater formation, leaving astronomers with a baffling mystery.

Orcus Patera is located between two of Mars's biggest volcanoes, Elysium Mons and Olympus Mons (which is also the highest peak in the solar system). Beyond its immense length and width - it's not quite as long as the Grand Canyon, but five times as wide - it rises up over a mile above the surrounding area, and it reaches depths more than a third of a mile beneath the Martian surface.

The term "patera" is used for irregular craters formed by volcanoes, with other famous examples including Mars's Hadriaca Patera and Tyrrhena Patera. But while Orcus Patera is definitely irregular, it probably wasn't formed by volcanic activity, and that's the mystery astronomers are still trying to solve.

One possibility is that it started life as a regular, nearly circular crater created by meteorite impact. Over time, compressional forces brought on by shifting tectonic plates squeezed Orcus Patera into its modern shape. It's also possible that Orcus Patera was once two craters right next to each other, and erosion wore away the distinct region separating the two until only one weird crater remained.

However, the most likely theory is that an object struck the crater at a remarkably shallow angle, probably less than 5 degrees from horizontal. This is known as oblique impact, and it would be able to dig out such an unusual-looking crater shape. Still, there's no conclusive evidence in favor of any of these theories, and so Orcus Patera remains a mystery to astronomers until the day comes we can get out there and take a look at it up close.

Giant Atlas Moths Hatch at Berkeley Castle Butterfly House

dailymail - With their stunning colours and 12in wingspan they're not the sort of insect you could ignore.

And now not just one but nine of the world's largest moths have hatched at a butterfly sanctuary in Gloucestershire.

The giant Atlas moths emerged from their chrysalises at Berkeley Castle Butterfly House.

Atlas moths are named after the intricate, colourful map-like patterns on their wings It is the first time the moths have successfully bred and hatched offspring in two years.

The moths, which do not have fully-formed mouths and survive off fat they built up as caterpillars, only live for a maximum of two weeks.

They are unsteady fliers and they do not stray far. Their sole purpose of life as a moth is to breed. Atlas moths are found in the tropical and subtropical forests of South-East Asia and are common across the Malay archipelago.

Yard Sale 'Battle for the Bargains'

Yard sale etiquette apparently went out the window Friday in Sonora, CA after a 70-year-old man hit another man over the head with a cornbread pan while the two were trying to get access to the sale items.

Jon Joslin, 70, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. The victim, Joseph Brown, 64, suffered a head laceration but refused medical treatment at the scene, according to Sgt. Jeff Wilson, spokesman for the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Department.

The hometowns of the two men were not immediately available.

According to Wilson, Joslin arrived early at the yard sale on Via Este Road and was told he would not be allowed to buy anything until 8 a.m. because that was the advertised start time.

Brown arrived a little later, at 7:45 a.m., and apparently the two talked about how other yard sales operated differently, Wilson said.

At about 8 a.m., the two walked up a long driveway to the sale, with Brown walking ahead of Joslin.

Wilson said Joslin didn’t like this, and tried tripping Brown. Not knowing what was going on, Brown continued, and Joslin tried tripping Brown again, Wilson said.

Now aware of what was happening, Brown told Joslin to stop and an argument ensued. Brown pushed Joslin, and Joslin — who had the five-pound, cast-iron pan in his hand — hit Brown over the head with it, Wilson said.

Deputies arrived, and took Joslin into custody, Wilson said.

NOTE: reminds me of an incident at an antique auction I attended. Two dealers bid on an item until it reached a ridiculous level, which immediately resulted in a massive brawl between the two (and other participants) on the auction floor...with a final tally of $20,000+ in damages that both split the difference on. Billy Meier To Reveal Details Of Mainstream Media Suppression Of ET Contact

With the sudden surge of interest in UFOs, are the government and media deliberately suppressing the one case that would blow the cover-up wide open? Michael Horn, the U.S. spokesman for Swiss UFO contactee, Billy Meier, will present supporting evidence for that theory in two upcoming public appearances.

According to Horn, the whole UFO topic has been turned into little more than entertainment with the media comfortably promoting only anecdotal and inconclusive evidence. "The fact is that while there has been some actual extraterrestrial UFO activity in the past, most sightings are either secret military craft or explained by natural causes. The clear exception, the Meier case, has been the one cause of concern for the CIA and other intelligence agencies for over 35 years. The 21 documented assassination attempts on Meier's life show that someone's been taking it very seriously."

Horn thinks that the governmental powers that be are glad to see people chase what he calls "lights in the sky" but want to make sure that Meier's documented, advance knowledge of hundreds of important scientific discoveries, from black holes, dark matter, water on Mars, to the deadly threat of the Apophis asteroid, don't get their attention.

When asked why they would want to cover up such ironclad evidence, Horn said, "They believe that Meier's proof of still ongoing extraterrestrial contact would overturn our religions, even stop wars and reinforce the oneness of, and need for peace between, all peoples on Earth. They also fear that it would destabilize society to admit that advanced, space traveling human beings operate freely without any terrestrial control. But the Plejaren extraterrestrials emphasize that we, the people of Earth, are the biggest enemies to our own future survival...and they're trying to help us to avoid self-destruction."

Horn feels that those who could have made a real difference failed to do so. "There's no shortage of so-called 'UFO experts', authors and others who've jumped on the UFO bandwagon despite not having any real extraterrestrial related evidence. And they avoid the Meier case for one simple reason - they can't make a profit from it. So they don't mention Meier's contacts in their media appearances, preventing people from benefiting from the information. Those who are most vocal about 'ending the UFO cover-up' are, ironically, most actively perpetuating it because, like the media, they see Meier as...bad for business."

Horn - who says he has personal proof the ET contacts are authentic - claims there's another reason why the Meier case is strictly off limits. "The media and the powers that be know that if people realize just how badly they've been lied to about things like the coming worldwide consequences of the BP Gulf disaster, the anger and frustration could really boil over.

"But they've overlooked one important thing. The internet revolution cannot be undone and now each person who comes upon the Meier information can 'publish', text and tweet it freely and wake up countless others. Initially it's a slow process but it will ultimately overwhelm the media suppression and, in time, the truth will prevail."

Entering a Spiritual Battlefield

Medium Crystal Pavis of the East Coast Angels sits quietly in the master bedroom as the team investigates reports of paranormal activity at a Colchester home

theday - A large wooden crucifix lies on a bed to protect the people gathered around it. Ghost detector meters on the floor tell them if they need protection.

"Is there anyone here with us?" paranormal investigator Sue Brimmer asks into the darkness. "Is there anyone trapped here?"

"Can you come over and light those lights for us?" Brimmer asks. "Let us know you're here."

In the dead quiet, medium Crystal Pavis speaks: "The spirit in the closet said stop, you're making him mad."

The two are members of the East Coast Angels, a group of eight local people who believe they can use paranormal research to detect spirits and determine whether a house is haunted. Each investigation starts and ends with a prayer.

Director Michael "Sal" Salerno of East Lyme says, "When you get into these situations you're entering into a spiritual battlefield."

On a chilly Saturday night earlier this month, the East Coast Angels set up for an investigation at a house in rural Colchester.

The house was built on farmland almost 10 years ago. When the homeowners, who asked to remain unidentified, put up the "for sale" sign about a year ago, they say they started noticing unusual things.

Their 6-year-old child was talking to an imaginary friend whom she called Rosie. When the child began having full conversations with Rosie under her bed, it made the child's mother feel uneasy.

"Ever since then, things got worse," she says.

East Coast Angels investigators believe an inhuman spirit was masking itself as the child's friend, in order to gain trust with the family. They say it is common for this "type of evil spirit" to portray itself as a small child.

The husband says he has seen black shadows over his bed, heard music coming from nowhere and was hearing loud bangs and stomping in the hallway to the master bedroom, always around 3 a.m.

The family heard about East Coast Angels from a friend, which is how most cases start, through referrals.

"It's so sad that we have a beautiful home and we don't feel comfortable in it," the wife says.

"Watching it on television is one thing, but experiencing it is another," adds her husband.

Salerno says most paranormal investigators get into the field because they've been haunted themselves.

Things started differently for him. He says he had never encountered any ghosts before. He was brought up in the Episcopal church but says he didn't start as a "man of true faith" until about three and a half years ago, when he had an accident. He contracted Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and, he says, had a "close call with death."

While recuperating he started watching the television show "A Haunting" on the Discovery Channel.

"I said to my wife, 'That's what I'm supposed to be doing: helping people with hauntings,'" Salerno says. "I felt with my newfound faith that I could help make a difference in the lives of people experiencing paranormal activity."

He started researching paranormal activity. He was accepted as an investigator in a local paranormal group, but first, he says, he needed to face his fear.

On his way home one night from his full-time job as an electrician, he says, he stopped at a secluded cemetery around 11 p.m. and stayed there with his flashlight, audio recorder and video recorder. He said some prayers and conducted his own investigation.

"I thought, if I'm not supposed to do this, God will let me know," Salerno says. "I realized that I wasn't afraid of the supernatural. I was more afraid of being attacked by an animal."

Salerno hasn't studied in a seminary. He taught himself about religion online. He started East Coast Angels in 2009 with his friend Brimmer, who works as a Realtor in Niantic and lives in Salem.

The other members of the team are people who have trained in paranormal research and Pavis, the medium. Pavis says she has been able to see ghosts since she was a little girl. Since first joining a paranormal group in 2003, she says, she has been able to strengthen her "gift" of being able to hear and sense a spiritual presence.

East Coast Angels does not get paid by its clients, they say, although some provide donations the group uses for travel expenses or to buy new equipment.

Salerno says the goal is not to get caught up with capturing audio or visual evidence of a spiritual existence. If the clients are "not comfortable when I leave, then I'm not done yet," he said.

One of the group's goals is to conduct an investigation at the Norwich Hospital property.

At 12:28 a.m., just before all the lights are turned off, Salerno gives last-minute instructions.

"Don't go anywhere alone. Stay together," he says. "If anyone starts to feel sick, let us know. If anyone gets scared, calmly walk out of the house."

Moving boxes piled up around the living room and on top of the kitchen counters conceal some of the infrared cameras and other devices set up to capture paranormal activity.

The investigators break up into groups. With flashlights in hand they disperse to conduct electronic voice phenomenon sessions, which Brimmer says is like interviewing the spirits.

Most of the ghost hunting tools are available in a hardware store or on the Internet. K-II meters can measure magnetic fields, and paranormal investigators believe they can pick up a spirit's electrical energy. They also use digital audio recorders and infrared cameras.

Investigators take turns asking questions. They pause between questions in case the spirit responds, as indicated by the K-II meter flashing or audio being recorded.

"It's very exciting when the thing lights up. It's like an adrenaline rush," Brimmer says.

Standing in the master bedroom of the Colchester house with a small group, holding a wooden crucifix in one hand and holy water in the other, Salerno says a prayer to Saint Michael in Latin. He then asks God to bring the evil entity to the room.

"In the name of Jesus Christ, give us a non-lethal, non-violent sign of your presence," Salerno says.

After no response, Salerno asks differently.

"In the name of Jesus Christ, what is your nature?"

Pavis, the medium, reports that the spirit is in the hallway and it has turned into a dog. Salerno says that in the symbolism of demonology, a spirit that takes the form of a dog is a spirit of lust.

He reaches down to his audio player and plays "Ave Maria" to get a reaction from the spirit. Pavis says the dog has turned into a man with horns and is covering its ears.

After investigators bless the hallway with holy salt and water, Salerno says a prayer and asks God to remove the evil presence from the house. Salerno says the meter on the floor isn't flickering as much and the medium reports that the spirit has left.

"I think tonight was very successful. Is it over? We don't know just yet," Salerno says.

Days later, the homeowners say they are still experiencing unnatural phenomena. The East Coast Angels team goes back for a "sub-fumigation" of the house, which Salerno describes as a minor form of exorcism.

The homeowners say it's been quiet ever since.

"We're actually sleeping since then without the lights on," the wife says. "It's like the weight is off your shoulders and you feel like something is completed."

The family says they were overwhelmed by Salerno and his team.

"Satisfied is putting it lightly. We are just elated. They taught us a lot and brought us closer to the church. Turned things around for us," the wife says.

The house is still up for sale.

HISTORY OF THIS CASE

Early August 2010 a family in Colchester, Ct was referred to the East Coast Angels.

The family was concerned about unexplainable activity happening in their home.

During the initial interview, some interesting and troubling claims were made by the homeowners. They stated that around a year ago they had put a "for sale" sign up in the front yard of their ten year old home. That night, in the hallway outside the door of the master bedroom, they heard what sounded like someone stomping their feet up and down the hallway, and they also heard some loud crashes from the living room area. When they went to check it out, nothing was out of place, and all seemed fine. This type of activity seemed to come and go a few times a month for a while.

The family's six year old child started talking about playing with an imaginary friend, and started calling her "Rosie". Sometimes the child would hide under the bed, and talk with "Rosie". At first the parents didn't make much of this activity, and thought it was a normal thing for a child to have imaginary friends. So it was let go, but not forgotten.

One night the spirit girl showed herself to the husband at around 3am. He claims that the spirit looked exactly like his child had described. The spirit disappeared when he tried to talk to it.

Another night around 3 am the husband was hearing music coming from what he thought was his radio alarm, he unplugged it and the music continued to play on through his stand up fan, he then unplugged that, and the music stopped. He put the alarm clock and the fan in the garage, but when he returned to his bed, so did the music.

Another night at the same time, 3 am, he was laying in bed, and something pulled him by the hand, so forcefully it actually caused him to sit up and fall forward, he then said he felt extremely frightened, and was paralyzed, he could see, and hear but could not move. His wife was able to help snap him out of his trance like state, but he remained alert and awake the rest of the night.

With this activity surrounding the homeowner, it started effecting his work. He was not sleeping, and it seemed to worry his co-workers. Life seemed to be falling apart for the family. Finally, he told some of his co-workers about what had been going on, and was referred to the East Coast Angels.

After the interview, Sal, conducted a house blessing, and referred the family to their clergy. An investigation was set up for August 14th, 2010.

A representative from the church, also came and blessed the home, and counseled the family.

The stomping noises settled down for a few days after the initial blessings, but picked up again about 3 days later.

One night around 8pm, the homeowner went into the home's hot tub, and blacked out. He lost two hours of time, and was in the hot tub for 2 hours. He said that normally he stays in for about twenty minutes, and he would have to get out due to the heat. This time he said, when he got out of the tub, two hours had passed, his hands were all pruned up from sitting in the water so long, but otherwise felt fine, just confused about the time loss.

Investigation Night:

We were joined that night by Jeff Messenger from SPI, and a reporter, and photographer from the New London Day Newspaper.

The investigation was interesting, and we captured lots of evidence. Once the evidence was compiled, a definite picture started to form about what was going on in the home. The evidence showed that an "inhuman" malevolent entity was oppressing the family. It had targeted the husband for it's attacks, and had future plans for the child. The details are more of a private matter for the family.

Cleansing Night:

On Tuesday August 24th, 2010 a sub-fumigation, a minor form of exorcism was performed in the home. The ceremony was successful, and medium Crystal Pavis confirmed that the entity had been removed from the home, and family's life.

The family is now living a normal life, and are no longer experiencing paranormal activity in the home.

The Phu Quoc, Vietnam UFO Crash...What Was It?

Mysterious Symbols Found on Vietnam UFO Wreckage

What was the UFO that crashed near Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam in May 2008? The Russians contend it was a U.S. military aircaft (SR-91 Aurora) that was shot out of the sky. Cambodia made an early announcement that is was an unidentified plane that had exploded but soon retracted the statement. Soldiers from Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand searched and found metal that could not be identified to any known aircraft. As well, the Vietnamese released video and images of the wreckage...which had strange, unknown symbols or characters embossed on it. So...what was the Phu Quoc UFO? Lon

After a UFO allegedly exploded above Phu Quoc Island off the coast of Vietnam, metal debris was recovered that suggests the object may have been built by extraterrestrials.

According to Officials at the state run Vietnam News Agency, “An unidentified flying object exploded at about 10am on May 27 over the northern part of Phu Quoc Island." Colonel Nguyen Van Qui, a military commander on the island was the source of the report and no civilian, commercial or military aircraft are said to be missing in that area of southern Vietnam or nearby Cambodia.

The object that crashed was first seen in the skies over Cambodia where officials said it appeared as a “fire in the sky.” The thing exploded shortly after that and what was left of it crashed on Phu Quoc Island. Citizens of a commune on the island retrieved a piece of metal from the crash that they described as measuring “one metre by about 60 centimeters.” The metal is unusual looking and appears to have symbols engraved or stamped into it.

Additional pieces of metal were recovered by members of the military and civilians. At this writing, there are fourteen pieces in possession of the Military Command of Phu Quoc District. The metal debris rained down in Ganh Dau and Cua Can communes on Phu Quoc at about 10:20 a.m. on May 27, 2008, according to Lam Quang Chanh, a spokesperson for the provincial People’s Committee.

While it’s entirely possible that the sightings and recovered material may have nothing to do with an Alien Spacecraft, the events surrounding this crash are similar to other incidents involving UFOs. For example, some of the symbols that appear to be engraved or stamped into the metal (if they are genuine) are similar to those described by witnesses on the thing that crashed near Kecksburg, Pennsylvania, in the 1960s. An I-beam from the Roswell UFO Crash in 1947 was also reported to have unknown symbols on it.

Phu Quoc Island is a popular tourist destination located in the Gulf of Thailand. It has thirteen resort areas and several urban centers. The island was once considered a backwater area known primarily for the production of anchovy sauce and black pepper. Once a French territory with rubber and coconut plantations, Phu Quoc Island housed a prisoner of war camp during the Vietnam War. Vietnam and Cambodia struggled over possession of the island for years after the war until it finally became a part of Vietnam in 1975.

UFO crashes are rare events. When they occur in an area of the world that may not be under the control of the usual cover-up suspects, an opportunity presents itself for the nation and people involved to share what has happened with the world. Vietnam is a Communist country with close ties to China, so there still may be a tight lid clamped on this event at some point. If that doesn’t occur, we may have a chance to see the smoking gun that proves intelligent Alien life forms exist and are visiting the Earth.

Vietnam Reports UFO Explosion

reuters - An unidentified flying object exploded in mid-air over a southern Vietnamese island, state media said Wednesday, a day after Cambodia's air force retracted a report of a mysterious plane crash.

The Vietnam News Agency said residents of Phu Quoc island, 10 km (6 miles) off the coast of the Cambodian province of Kampot, found shards of grey metal, including one 1.5 meters (1.5 yards) long.

"The explosion happened at about 8 km (5 miles) above the ground, and perhaps it was a plane, but authorities could not identify whether it was a civil or military aircraft," VNA said in a report headlined "UFO explodes over Phu Quoc Island."

Soldiers were sent out to look for wreckage and survivors, and local authorities contacted airlines in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand, but received no reports of missing aircraft, the official state news agency added.

Villagers in Kampot said Tuesday that they had heard a loud explosion. Wednesday they told Reuters they had found small chunks of metal near the coastline.

Kung Mony, deputy commander of Cambodia's Air Force, said Tuesday he had been told of a foreign plane crashing in Kampot province, but later backed off his claims of an aircraft accident.

Vietnam Confirms UFO Explosion / Crash

salem-news - An unidentified flying object exploded at about 10:00 AM on May 27th over the northern part of Phu Quoc Island, the Vietnam News Agency reported.

This is a region off the coast of the southern province of Kien Giang. Col. Nguyen Van Qui, military chief of the island district, reported the explosion and consequent discovery of debris.

It is reported that many residents found what are described as "many gray metal pieces, including a 1.5 meter long piece".

The island district authorities on Phu Quoc quickly contacted airline companies in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand, but so far none have confirmed any accidents involving their flights.

The explosion happened at about 8 kilometers, or five miles, above the ground, the VNA reported, "and perhaps it was a plane, but authorities could not identify whether it was a civil or military aircraft."

The Phu Quoc Island People’s Committee mobilized local armed forces and volunteers to help rescue any survivors, believing there had been a disaster, but there were none to be found. Col. Nguyen Van Qui was the person who described the craft as an "unidentified flying object" according to the VNA.

The deputy commander of the Cambodian Air Force, Kung Mony, said the initial determination was that a foreign plane had crashed in the Cambodian province of Kampot, but that suggestion was later retracted. Villagers in Kampot confirmed that they heard a loud explosion and then found small chunks of metal near the coast, presumably from the craft. They did not elaborate as to what type of metal it was.

One possibility the VNA cited, is that a military aircraft taking part in a secret mission exploded. If that is the case, its country of origin has not claimed it.

The theory was given some weight by the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) report which said: "The explosion happened at about 8 km above the ground, and perhaps it was a plane, but authorities could not identify whether it was a civil or military aircraft."

Strange Explosion Over Vietnam

iranian - A large unidentified flying object has exploded over an island just off the coast of Cambodia, Vietnamese officials have said.

The officials said Wednesday that they suspected it could be either a military plane or a civilian plane but not a flying saucer.

According to Ngang Van Truyen, chairman of the commune, the explosion occurred on Tuesday morning above Cua Can commune on Phu Quoc, a large island belonging to Vietnam just off the coast of Cambodia.

"It was a huge explosion, and we thought at first that it was thunder," Truyen said. “But then we saw a 100-meter-long smoke trail in the sky and knew that it was the explosion of a flying object."

Truyen added that people in the commune found six pieces of aluminum-like metal painted yellow-green on one side. The largest piece is more than one meter long and 50 centimeters wide. However, no markings or letters are found on the pieces.

Human Attacking Giant Squid Swarm The Pacific

express - Deadly sea monsters have woken from the deep to cause carnage among some of the world’s richest fishing grounds.

Millions of killer giant squid are not only devouring vast amounts of fish they have even started attacking humans.

Two Mexican fishermen were recently dragged from their boats and chewed so badly that their bodies could not be identified even by their own families.

No wonder the giant squid are called “diablos rojos” – red devils.

Monster squid are the stuff of legend. But for fishermen and marine biologists along 10,000 miles of coast from Chile to Alaska, the myth has become reality.

And their story is told this week in a Channel Five documentary.

Since 2002, Humboldt giant squid, named after the 18th century German explorer, have been spreading their tentacles to deplete fishing stocks by moving from their traditional tropical hunting grounds off Mexico and laying claim to a vast sweep of the Pacific.

Hunting in 1,000-strong packs the giant squid can out-swim and out-think fish. Scientists believe they coordinate attacks by using pigment cells to communicate.

A single female is believed to be able to lay 30 million eggs, each one capable of becoming a giant killing machine.

Marine biologists wear chain-mail to protect themselves from creatures that can measure 8ft, weigh 100lb and carry an armoury of more than 40,000 fearsome teeth along two “attack” tentacles.

The creatures have another eight “legs” for grasping and swimming and can reach speeds of more than 15mph.

Former US special forces diver Scott Cassell has put his life on the line to study the squid. He too has been attacked.

'Blue Dog' Killed Near Dallas, TX

woai - A woman near Dallas is now a believer in the chupacabra. The woman believes she was attacked by one and is undergoing rabies shots because of it.

The attack happened Saturday in Jack County, northwest of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Staysha Henderson was at her grandmothers house. Henderson said the skinny, malnourished, gray creature she and her family believe is a chupacabra was lurking inside a camper. The animal attacked and bit Henderson on her hand. Her family shot and killed the animal.

Officials are now testing to determine exactly what the creature was.

Bank Rejects 2 'US $1M Bills'

straitstimes - A man has been arrested in the United Arab Emirates for tricking a woman into trying to get change at the central bank for two souvenir one million dollar notes he persuaded her were real, a local daily said on Sunday.

'The suspect claimed that he was not aware that the notes do not have any value,' The National quoted Colonel Hammad Ahmed al-Hamadi of the Abu Dhabi police as saying.

The 44-year-old suspect persuaded the woman to exchange the fake notes at the UAE central bank in return for 30 per cent of their value after convincing her they were authentic, the report said citing police sources.

A photo in the newspaper shows a bill with starkly different colours on its two sides - one side is mainly black and white, while the other is mainly green. The black and white side features a picture of the first US president, George Washington, whose image is found on US one dollar bills.

The man who was arrested by Abu Dhabi police is from the Ivory Coast, the newspaper said. It did not provide details on the woman, and did not say whether or not she had been arrested.

In June, three Iranians attempted to fraudulently obtain US$14.4 billion (S$19.5 billion) from the UAE central bank using fake documents, official WAM news agency reported. Two were arrested, while the third was reportedly still at large in Iran. And in January, Abu Dhabi police arrested seven men for attempting to steal $10.2 billion from the central bank, also using forged documents, WAM said.

The Gulf 'Blue Flu' Is Spreading

datelinezero - “Blue Flu” infecting people along the Gulf of Mexico, other southern states?

Some people are calling it the BP Flu. But it is commonly being called the Blue Flu, because the alleged symptoms include blue lips and skin; and it’s scaring the hell out of people all around the Gulf area –from Texas to Florida.

This Blue Flu is separate from people experiencing something called TILT, or “Toxic-Induced Loss of Tolerance.” TILT is something that hit some of the folks who had been working on the massive cleanup surrounding the oil spill. Symptoms from TILT include eyes and skin being irritated, headaches and dizziness.

People with TILT are typically those who were in the immediate area of the spill, mostly those directly involved with the cleanup. Those suffering from Blue Flu are an entirely different matter. These are people who were not in direct contact with the spill, or the cleanup chemicals. They simply live in the south, near the Gulf.

Symptoms include swollen glands, notably in the neck, fever, vomiting, headache, bluish lip color, numbness in fingers and toes. The most alarming symptom being reported is “severe symptomatic cyanosis.” This is the entire body turning blue, a discoloration of the skin.

Of course this could cause alarm that these are symptoms of oxygen depletion along the Gulf. But could this rather be from all that Corexit that was sprayed everywhere, including dropped through the air from airplanes? This was a lot of chemical deposited in a large area, in a short frame of time. One wonders how the people living in the area could not be sickened from it. …

Whatever the cause the Blue Flu, it is important to note that the oil spill wasn’t cleaned up – it was covered up. As stated in the above quote, the Corexit that was sprayed and dumped all over the place is simply a (rather dangerous) chemical agent that prevented the oil from surfacing.

After all, the government isn’t interested in your safety. Rather, the government is interested in creating the illusion of safety. And the government often harms even more people in the end in their effort to keep up appearances.

Thus, expect the Blue Flu to be kept under wraps as much as possible. In an effort to deflect criticism, I would not be surprised if the government sounded an alarm over another flu bug – an effort at misdirection. The political class wants the oil spill story out of the way and forgotten.

Infrared Trail Camera Captures UFO Over Archer City, Texas

latimes - Fort Worth area resident Lisa Brock-Piekarski is a little freaked out by images she discovered on an infrared camera mounted at her family's favorite hunting spot.

That's not because of the deer in the foreground but because of the mysterious lights in the background to the left of the animal.

"What I see looks almost like a Frisbee," Brock-Piekarski told Dallas-Fort Worth NBC affiliate KXAS-TV. "You see a several lights going around, and they're all symmetrical and lit up, and it just looks like an object in the sky."

While she hesitated calling it a UFO, Brock-Piekarski could not identify what might have caused the string of lights to appear in the photos, taken over a timespan of almost two hours.

"There's nothing back there but trees and sky," she said. "There's no hills, no buildings, nothing back there. It's all flat."

Brock-Piekarski said the pictures were taken by an infrared, motion-activated game camera. The equipment wasn't moved, and it doesn't have a flash.

"We've seen falling stars, all kinds of stuff out there because you're away from the city," she said. "Anytime there's a meteor shower or anything, you can see it a lot better, but I've never seen anything like that."

The Brock-Piekarski's hunting land is located in Archer City, which is near Sheppard Air Force Base. The installation did not immediately return requests from KXAS-TV asking if it had planes up the night the images were taken.

Brock-Piekarski added that she was now a little hesitant to go out hunting and to her deer blind alone.

"It's a little creepy," Brock-Piekarski said. "I don't know if I want to be sitting out in my deer stand by myself anymore, hunting."

Retired Veteran's Recent Remarkable Disclosure

Background: Paul Epley served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1955. He was a master sergeant, a first sergeant, a company commander and worked for the government. Because of his clandestine assignments, the government/military refused to acknowledge his service and denied him benefits even after 21 legal appeals were made by his attorneys. No matter what steps he took, his records and benefits were denied until 50 years after the end of the Korean War which was in 2003. The disclosure is an incredible revelation, if true...which really is the $64,000 question. Is it true?:

When Paul Epley finally talked publically about some of his secret military activities, his story ended up in a small North Carolina newspaper. Guess what? Two weeks later, two FBI men showed up where he was working and said, “If you don’t keep your mouth shut, we’ll shut it.”

That was in the 1990s, but today Paul no longer cares if they kill him. He’s 80 years old, fighting cancer and wants to get three things off his conscience. On August 8, 2010, two of us from the Sky Ship website and two men with video cameras were invited to his home to record stories that have haunted him nearly his entire life. We also were given access to documents and an earlier video that originally weren’t to be released until after his death.

Saw live Roswell alien

In the summer of 1950, Paul was in the U.S. Army and working at Camp Wallace on the James River in Virginia. One day, for reasons he no longer can recall, he went to Camp Peary near Williamsburg, Virginia. While there, he recognized an MP guarding a bunker; they had served in Guam together.

“I went down and asked him what he was guarding,” says Paul, “and he said I can’t show you. So I kept talking to him and he said, ‘All right, I’ll give you a brief look at it.’ So he opened the door.”

Behind the door, just 15 to 20 feet from him, was an alien standing in a small cage with a base that was only three to four feet square. The alien was about 4 ½ feet tall and only wearing briefs.

What caught Paul’s eye the most was the alien’s skin color which he described as “an old orange-gray, dead-looking color.” Despite the color, Paul assured us it was alive and seemed to be aware of his presence.

Though smaller and skinnier, Paul found the alien’s features remarkably human-like. The shape of the head, ears, eyes, nose, chest, arms and legs were all similar to those of a human being. He did say the alien was almost bald with just a little bit of hair. He also noticed the alien’s fingers were longer than those of a human being.

After viewing the alien for several minutes, Paul left the bunker. He recalls the guard saying “that was the fifth one from Roswell” and “they were taking it up north somewhere.” In an earlier interview, Paul explained that the alien was transported from Roswell, New Mexico to Fort Hood, Texas before arriving at Camp Peary, Virginia. “At that time,” Paul adds, “Camp Peary was the most secret place that we had in America. I didn’t know much because I didn’t stay there long, but I know you had to have top secret (clearance) to get in.”

NOTE: Camp Peary is known as 'The Farm'. Officially it is referred to as the Armed Forces Experimental Training Activity (AFETA) under the auspices of the Department of Defense, but it is widely believed to be the location of a covert CIA training facility. Used as a military assassin

This part of Paul’s story has haunted him since the Korean War ended in 1953. Since then, he has nightly nightmares, suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and must take medication to help calm his nerves.

A simple 18-year-old country boy from North Carolina wasn’t prepared for what he got into when he joined the U.S. Army. During basic training, he severely broke his ankle and was going to be discharged. Paul, however, wanted to be a soldier and pleaded to remain in the service. The military agreed to let him stay and do only light duties - with one condition. He had to do anything he was asked without question.

That agreement pretty much destroyed his life. When the Korean War was ending, the United States didn’t want the North Koreans, the ones who had helped the U.S. during the war, to return to their homes. There was concern they would reveal U.S. intelligence information to the North Korean government/military. The solution was to assassinate the Korean allies and make it look like they’d died in combat.

Time and time again, he carried out assassination orders. Typically, he was told a “prisoner of war” was escaping and to shoot him dead, roll him in a trench and then toss in a grenade so it would look like a combat death.

Within a two or three week period, he also was taught to fly a plane – but not how to land it. His mission was to crash a plane into a desolate island and bail out before impact. When he went to the back of the plane to jump, he saw bound Koreans in the cargo section including two women. Yes, Paul says, the crash was to make their deaths look accidental.

Asked to assassinate Martin Luther King

In 1967, long after Paul was discharged from the U.S. Army, he was called to a meeting at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. Because of the nature of what he wishes to reveal, here are Paul’s exact words:

PAUL: “I had to run up to Langley. So I got up there, went in the meeting. They was two civilians and two colonels – an Air Force colonel and an Army colonel. They sat down there and talked, didn’t say no name or nothing, but they talked about what all was going on in the country and that they had one person that they had to get rid of. Everybody knowed who it was from the way they was talking, all this stuff in Rocksville (Little Rock?), down south and everything. They was talking about Martin Luther King. That was in ’67 in the summer and they wanted me to help them. And I told them that I had a good job, raising a family and didn’t want nothing else to do with it. But they sure approached me and tried to get me to help them.”

QUESTION: “In your mind, do you feel like they were asking you to help with an assassination hit on Martin Luther King?”

PAUL: “Right. That’s exactly what they wanted.”

QUESTION: “Do you have any idea why they wanted to get rid of him?”

PAUL: “ ’Cause there was so much trouble going on with the Blacks.”

QUESTION: “And they thought that would fix it?”

PAUL: “Well, it did.”

NOTE: What do you make of this 'disclosure'? I'm not going to say that Mr. Epley's spinning a yarn, but some of the scenarios and information just don't fit IMO. Nonetheless, there are some statements that do register on my radar...Lon

The following encounter scenarios were posted today (8/28/10) at the MUFON Case Management System:

MUFON CMS Report - Clair Shores, Michigan - 1979 (unedited): This is the encounter my mother had back in 1979/1980 in St. Claire Shores Mich at the playground/ballfield by Talbot st.& New York st. It was 7:00pm maybe 8:00pm, August or Sept, she was 45 yrs old & I was 10 yrs old or so, and my sister was 16yrs old. my mother just recalled this past incident about 4 or 5 months ago,and told my sister the story, who then informed me of it this past July. It began that evening, my mother took our dog Rocky out for a walk, she is never gone more than hour or so, but that all changed during this walk. After an hour I began to worry, I must have told my sister because she clearly remembers me being alarmed.

Here is the story my mother conveyed: While I was walking Rocky across the park/ballfield I noticed odd lights all different colors flashing on the ground,I thought It was strange that utility workers would be working at this time in the late evening. Next I saw several who I thought were small children all around me. They didn't look like normal kids though and then they began to talk to me,not through their mouths,but through their minds. I heard them clearly in my mind. The beings said why don't you come with us, and I said to where,and one of said to our craft right over there. I said no i'm busy why should I go with you, and they responded because we want to help you.Then another being asked me what is that next to you? before I could answer one other being said that's her pet. Then one of them said again come with us we want to help you, I told them if you want to help me you should go to Washington. What is Washington? one of them said. After that exchange my mother says she remembers very little.A note to the reader, I had an encounter in my yard when I was 7 or 8 years of age. a craft was hovering over our front yard and I saw 3 beings staring down upon me from inside the craft, which was about 60 or 70 ft above me. Also my sister saw a UFO hovering near her while she was on her bike, she was 10 or 11 at the time, and it occurred at Talbot st and New York st also. Our house is only 5 or 6 houses from New York st. Today the house is still there, but nobody resides there yet. By the way my childhood friend & his family always told me & others that our house was haunted,because they saw bluish glowing or bluish orbs over our rooftop more than once back in the late 70's.

MUFON CMS - Eastland County, Texas - 1990 (unedited): We were traveling from the Cisco, Tx countryside on back roads towards Eastland, Tx and a large round white light was following us most of the way, jigg-jagging from one side of the car to the other with no sound. Our windows were all rolled down and the object was not far away but we heard nothing. We were a family of six with kids ranging from six to ten yrs of age all of whom were very excited and a little scared. This object followed us most of the way, then just darted away quickly. A few days later the object was hovering above our home for several hours while we were all outdoors having a cookout. We lived a few miles out in the country in a secluded area. I don't know if it's related, but also around about the same time of the month, our home started shaking or trembling sort of like an earthquake, although there were none reported in the area. This actually caused cracks in the mortar of our rock house. It's nice to finally get this off my mind my telling someone. Thanks.
