New trace of 'Shennongjia Wildman' found in SW China
Five footprints, believed to be traces left by the legendary "Shennongjia Wildman," have been found in Chengkou county, part of Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, according to a report from cqnews.net on Monday.
The report says that the alleged "Wildman" was first found by Wang Taizhao, a local villager, on the morning of June 2 while he was fertilizing his corn field.
"I was so scared," Wang said, "First I heard a strange noise from the woods near my corn field, which I thought to be the bark of a dog. Then I spotted a human-like creature approaching. I took a flight to my house with great haste."
According to Wang, the creature was 160-170 cm in height, with red and yellowish hairs covering its body. Its eyes, nose and mouth were all reminiscent of human features.
Wang later reported his encounter with the Wildman to the head of his village.
About 20 days later, police from the Public Security Bureau of Chengkou county came to the corn field where Wang Taizhao came across the creature and detected five footprints. The police made plaster copies of the footprints for further research.
Chengkou county, located at northeastern part of Chongqing, is near to Shennongjia, in central China's Hubei Province, where many cases involving sightings of "wildmen" have been reported. - globaltimes

Over 30 tourists from Heilongjiang witnessed the whole process of a lake monster's appearance in Kanas Lake with the duration of eight minutes at 18:56 on Tuesday.
The tourists saw the lake monster in the lake at the foot of a mountain more than 2,000 meters away. The lake monster, four or five meters long, appeared in the lake with the huge wave, revealing its white belly.
"It has reached the lake bank. The wave there is so huge. Look! It is moving over there. The white (belly) is so long! "
The scene lasted about eight minutes, then the monster swam to the opposite bank, whipping up huge wave and disappearing beyond tourists' view.
It is the first time that lake monster appears in Kanas Lake this year.
Kanas Lake, located in the valley of the Altai, northwest China's Xinjiang, is a famous natural resort. The lake is 1,374 meters above sea level and covers an area of 45.73 square kilometers with the deepest point of 196 meters. The famous legend about "Kanas Monster" adds another air of mystery to the lake. According to the legend, huge monsters dwell in the lake's depths and often dragged horses and camels drinking into the water before swallowing them.

Ten tourists from Guangdong and Hubei provinces were the latest to report a "water monster" sighting in Kanas Lake, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. They told local media that they saw a giant black creature on July 5 that stirred waves over 1 meter high and left a wake over 10 meters long for 20 seconds about 100 meters away from their boat.
Kanas Lake, which means "beautiful, mysterious lake" in Mongolian, is China's deepest freshwater lake with a maximum depth of 188.5 meters, and 24 kilometers long from north to south. It's located in the Kanas Nature Reserve in the Aletai mountain area of northern Xinjiang and has been the source of numerous monster sightings, similar to Scotland's Loch Ness (or "Nessie") monster for decades – particularly since the 1980s when more visitors and settlers came to the area. Scientists have carried out investigations, though no conclusive evidence has been found of the creature.
Some scientists believe, however, that the monsters may be taimen trout, one of the world's largest and most ferocious freshwater fish which can grow as long as 10 meters. ____________________

Legendary Chinese Lake 'Monster' is Captured on Camera July 24, 2007
China’s Loch Ness monster has been sighted. Or so Chinese state-run television says. Not just one, but more than a dozen huge creatures can be seen churning across Lake Kanas in remote western China, leaving a foamy wake more like an enormous motorboat than a big fish.
A rare video filmed by a tourist at the lake in the Heavenly Mountains of the wild Xinjiang region, has reignited debate over the existence of an underwater creature that can compete with the Loch Ness monster in both mass and mystery.
The grainy film shows about 15 objects moving at high speed just beneath the surface of the lake and whipping the smooth blue water into a bubbling white frenzy. Chinese Central Television broadcast the video on its news channel, describing the footage shot by a passing tourist on July 5 as the clearest ever seen of a legendary beast that has been rumoured for centuries to live in the depths of Lake Kanas.
Local myth among the Chinese Mongolians living in the scenic mountains near the Russian and Mongolian borders has it that the animals have been known to drag sheep, cows and even horses from the shore and into the deep to devour them.
Yuan Guoying, of the Xinjiang Institute of Environmental Protection, told The Times that the video provided important proof in his more than two decades of research at the lake. “Only fish could make waves in this formation. I think the video is real.”
The television commentator described the sighting as the first since June 7, 2005 when two black creatures measuring more than 10 metres in length appeared on the surface swimming at speed from the shore to the centre of the lake. The newsreader described the latest appearance: “They sometimes gathered in a flock, sometimes spread about or moved shoulder to shoulder. The scene is grand and they looked like a fleet.”
State television made no attempt to identify the animals, saying only: ‘This time a large number of unidentified creatures emerged, bringing more mystery to Lake Kanas.”
Professor Yuan has been on their trail since 1980 and has been gripped by the mystery since his first sighting in 1985 when he says he saw as many as 50 of what he called fish. “They looked like reddish-brown tadpoles because I could only see their heads on the surface. They opened their mouths to breathe and their length was about 10 to 15 metres.”
He spotted the animals again on May 28, 2004 when he was standing looking down at the lake from a nearby hill. “I thought there was a huge piece of black plastic in the lake and that someone had been polluting it. But then I released that it must be the back of a giant fish. I was shocked because they were just too big. Looking at them was like looking at submarines.”
When Mr Yuan got back to his office he tried to calculate the size of the animals by setting their proportions against those of the surrounding landmarks such as trees or the shape of the shoreline. “I didn’t dare say they were bigger than 20 metres because no one would believe me.”
Chinese researchers in the 1980s said the ‘monster’ was likely to be a huge member of the salmon family – one of eight species of fish living in the lake. Mr Yuan gave their name as Hucho Taimen, a freshwater salmon tht thrives in deep frigid waters. He says the biggest Hucho Taimen salmon ever captured was 2.1 metres long and was found in Russia.
The animals that roam Lake Kanas live in an area about 24 kilometres by two kilometers and with an average depth of 122 metres and as deep as 188 metres at one point.
Mr Yuan believes that a lot more research is needed although China lacks the scientific equipment to make further studies. And it would be impossible to catch a fish of this size. “This fish will have tremendous strength.”
Other Chinese scientists have cast doubt on his findings, but Mr Yuan is adamant. “People will just say ‘You’ve got to be kidding’. But I saw them with my own eyes. I am a scientist. I have no choice but to believe what I saw.”

Hundreds of UFOs Witnessed in Beijing, China!
On the evening of May 15, 2011, I received a call from a friend, who is living and working in Beijing, China. She reported to me that she witnessed something which struck her with awe, fear and amazement.
I asked my friend if she would write up a report and send it to me, as I could not find anything in the news, or on the internet about this event.
I received her emailed report, photos and video, then shortly thereafter she emailed me again with another video, also telling me that some of the same object had returned on the evening of May 16, 2011.
As far as I know at this point, this is the only report, photos and video of these events, to come out of China. You are seeing it here first, on LITS!
Beijing Invaded by UFOs - Report
Last night, May 15, 2011, around 8 PM I witnessed an awesome UFO event over the city of Beijing, China. I am an American living and working here and I live on the 4th floor of an apartment complex, in the old embassy district of town. My location is just southeast of Ritan Park, next door to the Silk Market.
I was in my study for an hour or so, had finished an email, logged off and turned out the light to go into another room. As I was walking out I glanced out of the window in my study, which faces north, and saw an unusual light low in the sky. It was perhaps at 10,000 feet (maybe a bit less) and not moving.
I grabbed a pair of binoculars from another room, to get a better look and immediately knew that this was no conventional craft. It was clearly disc-shaped, was spinning and slightly swaying and flashing red, blue, green, and white. Every minute or so the red color would freeze, and a round red bulb of light would bulge from the middle of the craft and hold for a couple of seconds. Then it would draw back in and continue blinking the other colors.
Within 10 minutes of watching this event, 3 other smaller craft appeared out of nowhere, also flashing the same colors. I would guess the first craft was at least 100 ft. diameter, the smaller ones maybe half that. These craft were much more active and dropped lower than the first.
Then more craft showed up, each flashing a brilliant blue. These were small, perhaps 5 ft. in diameter and very active.
At this point I was beside myself, and started calling coworkers, finally reaching one. He came up to my apartment with his girlfriend and for a good 30 minutes, we all took turns watching with binoculars. By this time there were at least 20 craft in sight and counting.
My friends finally went back home and I continued watching. I contacted a coworker across town and Northeast of my location. He could not see the ones I was watching (buildings blocking his view) but watched another group to the East of his apartment (which I could not see from my location).
I did my best to video this with my little Panasonic but was only able to capture a few seconds. I just could not seem to keep it in the viewfinder, so I finally gave up.
I decided to go to the 7th floor stairwell, to get a better view. This was about an hour into the sighting. What I saw was mind-blowing! There was a oval-shaped string of flashing blue small lights, streaming from the height of the largest craft, all the way down to the ground and back up. This appeared to be over the Northwestern corner of Ritan Park.
The lights were flashing very fast, were stationary but were also vibrating rapidly. The air in the center of the circle was distorted and vibrating, like a heat wave in the desert. It looked like Christmas lights and almost looked like a hologram. I started looking around to see if this could have been projected from somewhere nearby.
Then one craft drifted out of formation and casually flew about, down to the ground, then back up, and over toward a high rise, then back into line. Then another did the same. This went on for several minutes.
In the meantime, two of the 50 ft. craft were buzzing around this formation, as if herding the small craft and orchestrating their actions. The large craft at this point, had dropped in altitude to about 1000 ft. I looked through my binoculars at this craft, and to my amazement (and horror) saw the the upper atmosphere and beyond was filled with twinkling lights! There were hundreds of them, probably far more.
You have to realize that in Beijing, it is rare to see more than a few stars due to the light pollution (and air pollution), and that is only on perfectly clear nights. These were not stars. And yes, they were moving and zipping about as well.
I have to admit I panicked a little and dashed back to my apartment, made some phone calls, threw a few things in a backpack, and was ready to scamper just in case. Afterwards, maybe 20 minutes had passed, I went back to my study window and watched as these things drifted further northward. The blue lights were gone from view, the higher lights were gone, and only the big craft and 2 smaller ones were in sight. They were approximately 6-7 miles from my location, moving up and down in height at no higher than 1000 feet, occasionally dropping below the tree line and back up.
I walked away for maybe 10 minutes, came back and only the large craft was in sight. Less than a minute later, a white light came up from below the tree line and took position under the big craft. A few seconds after that, a green one. And after that, a bright blue one.
A few minutes went by, then all dropped again below tree height and that was the last I saw of them. The time was 10:15 PM.
Never during this display did I (or my coworker across town) see any military aircraft. We never heard a siren, nor did we see anyone reacting to this event. There is obviously a media blackout concerning this (it's China, so no big surprise), because there has been nothing on the news, in the papers, or on the net. Nobody I know, other than my two coworkers and their respective girlfriends, saw anything. However, I've only talked to 10 other people about it and there are a few hundred at my workplace, so who knows.
Since Beijing never sleeps and has a population in the millions, I hope someone out there got good footage and can get it out soon. This was huge, way bigger than the Phoenix lights event or anything else I've ever seen or heard about.
For anyone wondering when the invasion will happen, it just has.
For the record, the sky at the time was mostly clear, the temperature was in the low 60's, and there was only a light occasional breeze.

I'm also totally amazed that they came back. This time another coworker watched them. He was so upset that he missed the BIG party on Sunday, so the minute I spotted the bastards I called him.
These things got all the way down to ground level, like they were buzzing something. The bigger ones were a lot more active as well. For awhile, some blue ones were in a slanted H formation (they did this at one point on Sunday also).
If nobody over that way saw these, then they must all have been unconscious! I estimate they (the objects) were just this side of the Olympic Park.
The jet I heard was just an airliner. I never saw it but assume. My coworker on that side of town said airline traffic was coming and going as usual. The air space here is extremely restricted, and I've only ever seen planes go from the northeast (airport), to directly south. Yesterday around 5-ish, I did see what I believe was a fighter or some other small jet hauling ass, flying from east to west and to my north. In other words, cutting across the sky where these things have been doing their thing.
Didn't see any other aircraft during the activity (which I watched from 8:30-9:30). Did not see them after that and was too tired to care right at that moment. Slept only a couple hours on Sunday, fully clothed and with my boots on (so I could hit the ground running in case something happened).
This morning I saw 2 contrails in the sky . One going south, per usual. And one cutting east to west. It's slightly overcast so I don't see anything else out there, but who knows. And you are right, this isn't over. If there isn't some announcement this week, I'd be totally stunned.

After the devastating earthquake in Japan, I began to wonder if there was any 'earth light' activity prior and after the event. There has been evidence in the past that unusual lights would appear in the sky before and/or after an earthquake. There were examples of this phenomena in relation to the most recent earthquake in Chile as well as other locations over the years.
I starting looking on the internet and I found a few UFO examples...though, it's hard to say what is being recorded and exactly when. Much of the information is third-hand.
Another phenomena endemic to disasters where there is substantial loss of life is the sighting of entities. I imagine it will only be a matter of time before these start to be reported.
Below are a few examples of strange phenomena associated with disasters:
'More ghosts' after New Zealand earthquake
stuff - The "sheer strength and power" of the September 4 earthquake has more than doubled the number of reported supernatural events in Canterbury, a paranormal investigator says.
Christchurch Paranormal Investigators founder Anton Heyrick said his team had received an "interesting influx" of phone calls and emails after the 7.1-magnitude earthquake, with more than double the usual number of inquiries.
"People are calling us, saying that they had always felt like there was something in the house, but since the earthquake it had become more intense," he said.
Most cases related to strange noises, although one man said he had been attacked by a ghost.
Heyrick said the "sheer strength and power" of the earthquake may have been responsible for the increase in paranormal activity.
The number of old buildings damaged in the earthquake may also have been a factor, he said.
It was well known among investigators that when renovations on old buildings took place, "it tends to wake up dormant spirits, and activity tends to come out of nowhere", he said.
"With the earthquake, it literally smashed walls apart, and knocked down floors and ceilings, so you can imagine the effect that would have had."
The team, which did not charge for its services, had conducted two full investigations, and was planning to do several more.
New Zealand Skeptics chairman Gold said the reports may have been due to "people's minds playing tricks on them in the post-quake environment".
"You may not feel an aftershock, but it will still make things rattle. People's minds fill in the blanks, and they tend to fill in the blanks with fairytales, unfortunately."

Ghosts, Shadows Reported in Wake of Chilean Earthquake
Shadows Heard and Screams Reported in the Early Morning Hours - Ghost Stories Begin to Emerge in Tsunami - Devastated Areas
elmercurio - Shadows cross the Cardenal Raul Silva Henriquez Bridge in Constitucion; Cell phone screens light up suddenly, as if trying to receive phone calls. The moans and tears of children and their mothers resonate throughout the wooded Curanipe camping grounds, where thirty people lost their lives on February 27th.
Situations such as these are being reported by residents of Region de Maule, who claim that they repeat over and over in the early morning hours. “It’s the people who died here. They’re asking to be found and be given a burial,” says Juan Morales Morales, who works nights doing repairs on the Constitución Bridge. Dozens of people died in this area while camping at Isla Orrego, at the mouth of the Maule River.
In the coastal village of Curanipe, half an hour away from Cauquenes, people reportedly hear sounds issuing from the forest where thirty people vanished. “We can hear the cries and weeping of children at unusual hours, and people are greatly distressed by it,” says Magdalena Rodriguez, who owns a nearby business. She lost a sister in the tragedy.
Ricardo Figueroa, a psychiatrist specializing in disasters at the Catholic University Hospital, explains: “When unexpected deaths or states of grief exist, it is normal for people to report experiences that may catalogued, in quotation marks, as supernatural.” He adds: “But this is a normal occurrence that increases during catastrophes.”
Hugo Zepeda, a doctor of Theology and university professor, adds that these events occur “because people are psychologically injured. This has a collective projection that makes the see more or less the same thing.” He adds that if these events continue to occur, they may soon have a “paranormal” meaning.
Haitian Homeless Haunted at Night by Evil Spirits, Loups-Garoux
FT - The corpse of a young man, bloodied by bullet wounds, lay on Boulevard Truman in the center of Port-au-Prince, Haiti’s capital, a few hundred yards from a rag-tag camp for the homeless.
Why this man was killed is unknown, but a deeply ingrained belief in the occult can explain some of the sporadic outbreaks of violence among the 690,000 people left on the streets by the earthquake of January 12.
By night, mythical creatures are said to prowl the camps, snatching and murdering children. Many Haitians are convinced that people possessed by evil spirits turn into wolves after dark, a version of the werewolf legend. These loups-garoux, or wolf-men, are thought to be preying on defenseless people sleeping in the open.
“Almost all Haitian families are afraid of this,” said Vladimir Cadet, 29, who is among the homeless. “While they are sleeping in the street, they are living with this reality. There was a woman whose two children were taken by a werewolf. This kind of thing is spreading like wildfire.”
Mr Cadet, an English-speaking university graduate, is convinced of the existence of werewolves. “I have never seen one but I’ve been told by my mother that they exist. When I was a little boy, I was nearly taken.”
This widespread belief in the occult has worsened the ordeal of the homeless. As well as facing the daily burden of finding food and water, many also live with the fear that creatures of the night will abduct their children.
Where Mr Cadet sleeps, people have formed brigades of watchmen who guard against the twin dangers of thieves and werewolves. Anyone suspected of falling into either category is liable to be killed.
About half of Haiti’s 9 million people are thought actively to practice voodoo. Many more share some of these beliefs.
This has had one positive effect in the earthquake’s aftermath. Voodoo holds that human beings never truly die – instead their spirits simply migrate to another dimension of existence.
Consequently, the 150,000 people who were claimed by the natural disaster are thought to live on in a parallel universe, from where they might occasionally contact their relatives in this world.
In a country bereft of comfort, this belief is a rare source of peace for the survivors of its tragedy.

After one of the greatest catastrophes in the history of humanity, the earthquake that has taken thousands of lives in Haiti, came this curious news on various television channels. A rescuer from Colombia had a strange experience when he witnessed this apparition.

'Quake Lights' Reported Over Southern California

weatherspace - San Diego residents are reporting shaking continuing in the area. The shaking, according to the USGS, is likely due to the Easter quake this year which rocked the region.
Twitter is rolling with reports of rainbow cloud over Los Angeles today. Reports are coming in that this looks similar to before both the China and Chile quakes where residents reported and took photos of such events in the sky.
While no one can be sure what it means, people should always be prepared for a major Earthquake in Southern California as it is seismically active.

Chile: Post-Earthquake UFO Terrified Bus Passengers
inexplicata - In the early hours of March 1, 2010, passengers aboard a bus driving through Iquique were witnesses to a terrifying situation.
A woman's screams wakened all of the passengers, who joined her in looking out the window.
"A vertical cylindrical object appeared on the coast, resembling a fluorescent bulb. At the same time, a top-shaped structure appeared out of the sea, surrounded by lights. Suddenly, they saw a long-armed, humanoid entity standing nearly three meters tall, issuing light and walking toward the highway. This caused panic," said Enrique Silva to Publimetro. Silva is a UFO expert and is researching this case along with retired Chilean Air Force General Ricardo Bermudez.
These were not the only witnesses to the event: other locals saw the same phenomenon. "We are still gathering background information and eyewitness accounts. Some students we interviewed told us that the driver and his assistant took photos of the event, which would represent very valuable material. This is a very interesting and well-documented case. I haven't had anything like it in Chile in at least 20 years," said Silva.
Journalist Juan Andrés Salfate said: "There are two theories to explain the apparitions of UFOs after a catastrophe. The first is that they live among us, underground, and engage in operations to lift off, thus becoming visible. The other is that they live in a state of vigilance, and follow our procedures and reactions."

Sixteen Separate UFO / ONVI Cases Reported On Night Of Chilean Earthquake
inexplicata - The earthquake was followed by a boom in UFO sightings, but sixteen cases occurred on the night of the tragedy alone (some of them accompanied by significant visual material) which have been subjected to study by UFO researchers.
Researcher Rodrigo Fuenzalida told Publimetro that the highest concentrations of reports appear to be Las Condes, Peñalolén, Providencia and Colina. "We have eyewitness testimony from a couple that refused to sleep in their apartment on the night of the earthquake, choosing instead to spend the early morning hours in the street. They were able to see an object that looked much like the moon, but immediately realized that the moon was on the other side. This event may have been seen by residents of other communes," said Fuenzalida.
Another major sighting took place on Isla Robinson Crusoe, part of the Juan Fernandez Archipelago, where people witnessed an object emerging from the sea shortly before the earthquake.
Regarding the case involving a humanoid -- reported by passengers on a bus in Iquique -- Fuenzalida notes that while startling, he is aware of other similar cases, but people "do not dare report them, fearing that they will not be believed.
"I've heard of the manifestations of these "luminous men", said the ufologist. "We are in an ideal period for sightings. I would ask everyone to be alert, but be mindful to avoid confusion, or a state of hysteria."
