Georgia Bigfoot Hoaxer Discloses Associates' Scheme

PART 3 OF 10 OF WHAT REALLY WENT DOWN IN MAY OF 2008 BIGFOOT NOT A HOAX

Well folks, for the life of me I just cannot comprehend why these videos are being produced 3 years after the fact...but I will admit that some of the claims in the 3rd video have me somewhat intrigued. What is the real reason behind the disclosures? Rick Dyer is now accusing Tom Biscardi and Steve Kulls of cooperating in the hoax until Kulls decided he wasn't getting enough cash to keep quiet...thus, he spilled the beans to the media.

Kulls, who is a former Tom Biscardi employee posted his extensive investigation of the Georgia Bigfoot hoax, some time later and laid most of the blame at the feet of Biscardi.

In his “The Official Report of Steve Kulls regarding the Georgia Bigfoot Body Hoax of 2008,” Kulls detailed his “investigation of the man whom propagated this hoax, C. Thomas Biscardi, and an exposè of his company; Searching for Bigfoot, Inc.” Here is the transcript:

From Steve Kulls, SquatchDetective.com:

No need to go into much of what has happened the last few weeks, many of you know the story all too well.

I will also state out of the people involved in my organization, it was only me on this mission. Not Becky, Billy , Sean or anyone, just me.

I will start by all saying, we all make some mistakes. Some say it was a mistake going on the air Monday July 28th, 2008 in the middle of "Camp Biscardi". I agree. I admit it. I made a mistake, an error in judgment. I should not have put myself in the position of physical harm (not being killed but a physical confrontation, or dependency on them for extraction) to tell the ENTIRE story. All a man can do is apologize and learn by it. I have done such. Forgiveness is in the eye of people. People who at times have erred too, and have been forgiven. If they chose to forgive me for it I will not ever let them down again. If they choose not to forgive me for it, I forgive them for their anger.

The Special Edition show, a few say it was a mistake going on air as soon as possible after, because I had not had much clarity and sounded exhausted. I was mentally and physically exhausted. For that I have to say, no. At the time I was not ready yet to completely implicate Biscardi in being complicit with anything yet. I needed rest, clarity and a review of materials. But I did need to get the word out that YES, I was lied to and misled, and yes there was an attempt at a cover-up, that had I not been there could have been one of the possible scenarios resulting.

As to Dyer's new videos implicating me, well consider the source. I think we need not much to ponder upon that. The truth in all of this matter is on my side, no one else's. I'll take a polygraph on any of these items and allegations on my "complicity".

Plain and simple, I put the parties in contact at their request, fed a bunch of deceptions and flew out there to Indiana to verify real or not. I expected not to be in the middle of any controversy, I was in air at the time of the press conference. At the time of my show, I had thought the only people Biscardi had lied to was myself and the crew there, not knowing what he had said at the press conference. I now know differently. And again apologize for not being "in the know" before airing Monday.

There are many that were "in the loop" on my side. More than a handful of my closest people.

They know this too is the entire truth and why now I feel that Biscardi was complicit in this.

It's either that or he is the most naive person in the world. But none the less, you cannot take away the fact he lied to the public, and that is not a good reflection upon our research efforts. So it is complicity even if it is by stupidity. But in my opinion, I believe he knew exactly what he was doing. It was clear Whitton and Dyer were attempting to scam others so Biscardi didn't start this hoax, but became part of it by lies and deceptions. I believe that they got him in deep, and for Biscardi there was no turning back. Biscardi didn't start this ruse, but he rose to it by lying, deceiving people what he saw...oh yeah there's that DNA letter thing too.

I stated on my blog, that should this be a hoax, it would be a death blow for Tom Biscardi and his company. Now his investors must look at what has happened and make further judgments on their future involvement with him.

I stated to an organization a year and a half or so, that if something were to happen like this, I would get the truth out there, and here it is folks, my time-line. What was said what was done. My allegiance is to the truth.

HERE IS FULL DISCLOSURE:

TIMELINE

June 16 - Whitton & Dyers site created

July 9 - Whitton states on video that they've recovered a Bigfoot "corpse". Coincidentally after Whitton is released from hospital from being shot.

July 25 - I issue challenge to get them to come on Radio Show

July 28 - Dyer asks me to call him, speak with him. I can't get him to crack, asks who is Tom Biscardi.

July 28 - I put Biscardi in contact with them.

July 28 - Dyer appears on my Radio Show

July 29 - Called and thank Dyer for being on show. Biscardi tells me Dyer stated they sold the "corpse" to the National Enquirer.

July 30 - I find out they did not sell body to National Enquirer as they stated to us personally, and attorney mentioned on radio show knew nothing of a bigfoot body. Biscardi calls me and tells me Dyer and Whitton want him to deal with the body exclusively.

July 30 - Both Whitton and Dyer appear on Biscardi's Radio show

July 31 - I call SFB VP Bob Schmalzbach and tell him I think this is a con, he needs to talk to Biscardi. He tells me to call him. I do get a voicemail. I'll cll in the early AM.

BISCARDI'S FIRST TRIP

Aug 1 - I call Biscardi and advise him of some revealing information about Dyer, I believe this is a con. Biscardi says he'll get to the bottom of it. Receive a phone call, from Biscardi, wants me to write an interim contract. Tells me he's going to get DNA.

Aug 2 - Biscardi calls and when asked states he cannot speak about what he saw. Calls later saying that he was "Right there when the DNA was cut from the body". States "This thing has incredibly thick skin"

Aug 4 -Contract stated my name as the introductory party as my only involvement. Told that the DNA is being hand delivered to Dr. Curt Nelson

BISCARDI'S SECOND TRIP

Aug 9 - Biscardi told me that tomorrow he's taking the measurements, and taking pictures.

Aug 10 - Biscardi describes the body, tells me about the eyes, the teeth, and genitalia.

Aug 11 - Biscardi forwards me an email from Dr. Nelson stating the DNA amplification size was consistent with human/ape and was going to be sequenced.

Aug 13 - I was given picture of alleged corpse. I had issues with the body. Biscardi sees my doubts tells asks me if he "would drop 50 large if this wasn't the real thing, I saw it".

Aug 14 - Saw comparisons of pictures to costume. Expressed it to Biscardi who told me he saw it and its not a costume, its the real thing. Crew picks up freezer from Whitton and Dyer, give them $50K. Crew thought it was supposed to be defrosted but they found it frozen. when I heard "corpse" was in transport I buy my plane ticket.

Aug 15 - Depart airport arrive in Indianapolis at 4:10PM EST. In flight during press conference. At Press conference (Palo Alto, Ca) Whitton describes how they cam across "corpse" etc. Biscardi states He touched it, smelled it, felt it amongst other deceptions.

Aug 15 - I am driven to location in Indiana, outside of Muncie in a rural community. There are no TV's however I see a few snippets of Whitton on a computer at the press conference.

Aug 16 - Ice melts to where I can get a hair sample. I examined hairs and determine they are not hairs. We burn it an it balls up into a melted wad, uncharacteristic of hair. We begin speed thaw using a salamander heater, and eventually pull a rubber foot out. Advise Biscardi who is unusually calm about it.

Aug 16 - Biscardi calls (two of the crew and investor are not present at the time) and he wants to fill the freezer up with water, freeze it, release it back to Whitton & Dyer and we'd make a statement that the public pressure was too much on them and they took their body back, and place a gag order on it, never speak of it again. I staunchly object and would not participate in it.

Aug 16 - I talk with Whitton to return the money, he states they don't have it and the only want to deal with Biscardi. Biscardi calls back and claims that Whitton & Dyer will sign a promissory note and confession the next morning before they leave for home. I draw up the documents. I try to be extricated but it would be a great burden on my friends and would place one at risk of safety driving there to pick me up. (Did not want him falling asleep at wheel).

Aug. 17 - Whitton and Dyer left before their scheduled meeting with Biscardi. Biscardi wants press there to expose it as a hoax, I am not able to leave because of this. I prepare a statement. Monday is a no go for home either now.

Aug 18 - Bob Schmalzbach removes many of the separation items in the statement. Media shows up and statement is transmitted. They are angry because of this position of separation.

Aug 18 - Squatchdetective Radio airs I announce the hoax at 10:10 PM, am flooded by several questions about Whitton, Dyer, etc. Last callers lower the boom on Biscardi. I am in the presence of Biscardi's son and close friend, if I agreed on the lying at that point it could have risked me physical harm. Why I responded the way I did by not answering. Not denying either. When asked about Biscardi's complicity, I stated "I don't believe so." At the time I did not. But I needed to review the conference as well as other materials and digest.

Aug 18 - Everyone is enraged I didn't call out Biscardi that night...I will not succumb either to peer pressure, to state a popular opinion. I needed to get my "ducks in a row." I had to get my head clear...and relevant facts entered. I also learn from a source that the DNA report he sent me on the 11th most likely was altered.

Aug 19 - I leave 5+ hours early for the airport, and soon as my "handlers" leave I get the word out of what had occurred, the deceptions. I apologized to listeners of the previous show for not being able to tell it like it is. My mistake...show could have waited. I am physically and mentally exhausted. Officially break ties with Tom Biscardi and his company. I arrive home at 11:30PM from airport.

Aug 20 - Whitton and Dyer state Biscardi and I coached them. I issued statement stating the above involvement was all I've had, I never met them or even been to Georgia this year. I Agree to take polygraph if anyone volunteers one. I Issue a cease and desist letter to Biscardi for any attempt at communication to me.

Aug 21 - I appear on Fox and Friends at 6:50AM and reveal the deceptions of Tom Biscardi now believing he was complicit in the hoax based upon the DNA email and statements made.

Aug 22 - Squatchdetective.com updated to reflect the facts in this matter.

NOTE: the entire scenario of the hoax is described in Autumn Williams' post on her website as well as the links posted here.

It will be interesting to see if Tom Biscardi and Steve Kulls respond to the accusations in this video. If any of what Dyer is saying is indeed fact, then Pandora's Box may start to open. The first and second videos of this series are very hard to believe, as well as the craziness of these so-called 'Bigfoot Trackers'...in my estimation, it's a stunt designed for a future scheme. But these claims against Biscardi and Kulls had better be factual and provable...or the 'Bigfoot Trackers' may find tort predicaments down the road.

The Next Edition of Bigfoot Kabuki Theater

PART 2 OF 10 OF WHAT REALLY WENT DOWN IN MAY OF 2008 BIGFOOT NOT A HOAX

Just as I guessed, the 'Men In Black' took the Bigfoot away. They threatened Rick to the point where it made him cry. The MIB also gave them suggestions on how to manipulate the public...but also said that no one would believe them regardless. After 3 years you'd think they would have come up with a better story that this. But considering the source....well, anyway.

whoa...Rick got a fancy new bigfootin' tracker truck

Todd Standing And Matt Moneymaker Are Working Together To Fake Bigfoot Research

From Tim Fasano's website:

"Why is anyone giving this stupid photo any cred at all. I hear that the Finding Bigfoot crew is now working with Todd Standing. Whats next, Tom Biscardi? Tom is a friend of mine and he would never push something so lame as this. Matt Moneymaker may be charming and all that but Standing is a known hoaxer. By associating with him, and having him on your show, you are now a hoaxer as well. There is no other conclusion that can be drawn.

If you ever find your way back to Florida, and have at least one week to spend here. I will show you where the skunk ape is at. Your equipment will allow us to make a real discovery. You must have one week and be willing to work my way (20 hours a day). There are no Seminole Indians were we will go, only skunk ape.

Do people not see what a joke this Bigfoot stuff is becoming.

Again, anyone who wants to find Bigfoot and has the right equipment, I will show you where to look. If you have a month, we may capture the beast. At best, we will get great images of it.

If you think this photo taken by Standing (photo shoped) is real, then there is no hope anymore."

Two North Carolina nurses are planning to hunt for Bigfoot

Read more: The Bladen Journal - Looking for Bigfoot Two local nurses are planning quite an adventure

Two enterprising Bladen County women have devised a plan to search for Bigfoot, a.k.a. Sasquatch.

Linda Durden and her friend, co-worker Janette Skinner plan to spend some time in September in the Uwharrie National Forest near Asheboro on a mission to gather concrete proof Bigfoot exists.

Why Uwharrie? According to Skinner, Animal Planet did a special in February called Finding Bigfoot. The special mentioned sightings in the Uwharrie National Forest, said Skinner.

“She’s always talked about it and watched the movies,” said Skinner of her friend Durden. “We never heard about it (the sightings in North Carolina).”

Durden and Skinner have been fishing and camping in the Uwharrie forest for several years. They both say they were not aware of the Bigfoot sightings nor have then seen or heard anything out of the ordinary.

When asked if they truly believe the stories, they both thought for a minute.

“I don’t know if he exists, but I know things exist in the woods which we can’t explain,” said Skinner.

Durden said, “I think he’s an animal or some other creature that didn’t evolve.”

The duo are adventurous women who have worked together at the Elizabethtown Nursing Center for the past 12 years. The ladies say they enjoy camping and fishing together.

Skinner said in the years past, the two have always stayed in a camp ground near Badin Lake and fished on the river. They say come September they will go primitive camping in the woods away from the more populated camp ground.

“We planned a trip this year and decided we could do just as a good of job (as professional Bigfoot hunters),” said Skinner. “We want to try and get a good photo.”

But aren’t they apprehensive? Durden said they will be armed, but they hope to not have to use it. Bigfoot has never been known to harm anyone.

“If we feel threatened now we’d have no choice (but to defend ourselves),” said Durden. “We’re prepared.”

Durden and Skinner both said Bigfoot has been known to throw gravel or rocks at humans to try to frighten them away. He’s never actually harmed anyone.

They have tried to contact Michael Green. His reports of a sighting are the reason Anmimal Planet traveled to Uwharrie. They are still waiting to speak with him.

“I hope we can bring some type of 100 percent proof (he exists) back,” said Durden. “It’s a large forest. We have got a few areas in mind we are going to hit.”

They said they plan to look for things like twisted trees, hair and, allegedly, a Bigfoot will sleep on a bed of sticks. They aren’t certain they will be able to find an actual footprint due to the rough, rocky terrain.

They both say they will try various methods of baiting including the use of a Zagnut candy bar, which is reportedly his favorite, said Durden, and peanut butter to try to lure Bigfoot where they can capture a good conclusive photo.

The duo says whether or not they are able to gather conclusive proof Bigfoot exists, they plan to have a great time camping. - bladenjournal

More Standing...Bigfoot Boom in Banff?

If nothing else, the news is bound to make big strides with the Banff tourism industry.

No longer will Alberta’s best-known mountain park depend solely on breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife to impress visitors and lure overseas tourists.

And no more envy towards other famous vacation spots like Loch Ness and Lake Okanagan, where legendary creatures are rumoured to lurk.

Banff now has Bigfoot. Lots and lots of Bigfoots, in fact.

Yes, it’s an allegation that would have Ripley wondering whether to Believe it or Not, and P.T. Barnum reaching for his cheque book, but the mountains west of Calgary are a hotbed for the huge-footed primates.

That’s the assertion of a dedicated bigfoot research organization based near Calgary, which claims not only to have video and photo evidence of the mythical beast, but DNA proof as well.

“When I first started, I was a skeptic, but not anymore — now I’m a wholehearted believer in the species,” said Todd Standing, spokesman for the Sylvanic Bigfoot group.

Standing’s allegations of a Bigfoot colony living near the border of Banff and Kootenay national park will raise many eyebrows, but his evidence has piqued the interest of the Discovery Channel.

This week, crews from “Finding Bigfoot,” a hit show on Discovery’s Animal Planet channel, are filming in the Calgary area, and Standing says the upcoming episode will be centred upon Sylvanic’s discoveries.

“We’ve had exceptional results and we’re working with people doing DNA analysis,” said Standing.

He says preliminary results from hair samples sent in for testing suggest an unknown species of primate, while video and photographs suggest a creature larger than a gorilla, with human-like features.

Of course, it’s that latter evidence that’s bound to have the skeptics taking sasquatch-sized swipes at Standing, particularly the photographs he says are proof of Bigfoot.

Paranormal footage, as a rule, is supposed to be grainy, badly-focused and jittery, as if the camera was assembled by Fisher-Price and mounted to the bumper of a gravel truck.

Not Sylvanic: Standing boasts a collection of sharp video clips and crisp photographs of Bigfoot, showing far, far more than the usual hirsute primate dashing behind the nearest bush.

Instead of blur, we get full-face portraits of the creature, peering from behind trees.

“I’ve had multiple interactions with them, and I’ve filmed them and photographed them on many occasions,” said Standing.

“It’s a real, living breathing animal, which I got within 60 or 70 yards of.”

What the producers of Finding Bigfoot make of all this remains to be seen, as their quartet of sasquatchologists examines the Alberta evidence to see if it’s on solid footing.

The show has gone across North America investigating sightings of the creature, with the network “committed to looking for the Bigfoot until it’s found.”

Standing says he has — though he knows his belief in Bigfoot and the proof he produces from the Banff backwoods opens him to mockery, derision and the suggestion he should sober up.

But he accepts the skeptism, because he originally joined the Sylvanic team with the intent of disproving the ancient story of an ape-like creature hiding in the wilderness of North America.

“I thought it was a combination of hoaxes and mistaken identities, and I wanted to prove it wasn’t true,” said Standing.

Now, he says Bigfoot is a fact — and with weeks, he hopes to have the DNA evidence to prove it.

“We hope to have results by October,” said Standing.

If that’s the case, tourism officials in Banff will surely be thrilled. As it is, they welcome the attention of the popular television show, saying any link with Bigfoot is a bonus for visitors.

“Anything interesting that attracts people is a good thing — it seems like some harmless fun,” said Mary Morrison, spokeswoman for Banff Lake Louise Tourism.

“I mean, who wouldn’t want to see a Bigfoot?” - calgarysun

ALSO...

In his seven year quest to prove to the world that the legendary primate known as Bigfoot truly exists, Calgary’s Todd Standing has relayed stories that many people would consider to be outrageous.

Having made several expeditions into the northernmost regions of the Rocky Mountains, the 38-year-old cryptozoologist and wilderness guide claims to have discovered entire communities, or, “domiciles,” of the ape-like creatures found in North American folklore. He even purports to have had frightening, potentially life-threatening physical encounters with the creatures, also known as Sasquatches, over the years.

This week, Standing’s seemingly outlandish claims are getting some major media attention as The Discovery Channel is in town to shoot on episode on the former University of Alberta student for its popular program Finding Bigfoot. Producers of the show would not comment on the episode, but they are holding a forum Wednesday at 6 p.m. to be filmed at Camp Horizon near Bragg Creek, where people are invited to share Bigfoot stories, meet the cast, or, simply listen in on the action.

They will also be conducting interviews with Standing as well as Nakoda First Nations people who support his findings, throughout the week in Calgary and Kananaskis.

“I have encounters one in 10 times that I go out, where I’m successful and actually get close to the group,” says Standing.

“The group I’m studying right now is so deep in national park territory that they’re not used to running away like most Bigfoot groups are. These groups will stand their ground. I’ve even had bluff charges (from them).”

In a couple of encounters Standing claims he’s been physically pushed and thrown away from the Bigfoot domiciles he’s come upon.

In one terrifying encounter he reports that a male charged at him. “He was crashing an 80 pound boulder into the mountain as he approached me ... until I submitted to him,” Standing says.

“When I laid down flat and let go of my knife, he moved away and gave me the ability to leave the area.”

According to Standing, The Discovery Channel is not the only television show to express interest in him.

Two months ago he says he spoke with the National Geographic Channel, for a program that has yet to air, and he’s also sat down with the producers of the program Call Out Search and Rescue, which airs on such channels as Sun TV and Access.

Standing also says he’s been in talks with Les Stroud, host of the television series Survivorman and Beyond Survival, seen on OLN.

Standing says that after shooting their interview segment with him, the Finding Bigfoot team plans to make its own trek into the areas where he claims to have spotted the primates.

But Standing does not have faith that they’ll find what they’re looking for in such a short period.

In a week, he says, “they can’t go in really deep. . . . It’s taken me years of hard work and determination.” - calgaryherald

Bigfoot News: Georgia Hoax Round 2, DNA Doubts and Minnesota Encounter

....it's August 15th and Round 2 of Georgia Bigfoot Hoax BS begins:

Click for video - PART 1 OF 10 OF WHAT REALLY WENT DOWN IN MAY OF 2008 BIGFOOT NOT A HOAX

Dyer had 3 years to make up this story. Frankly, he'd been better off writing a book. So, where did this other joker come from (Ward)? We never saw / heard 'hide nor hair' from this guy throughout the entire debacle in 2008...but now he's suddenly part of the story? I also like the US flag in the background effect...that's always a sign that 'the good ole' boys' are serious and telling the truth. BTW, I have been blocked from commenting on any of Dyer's videos.

**********

Lisa A. Shiel has recently posted her take on Bigfoot DNA and that it will not provide rock-solid proof of Bigfoot's existence:

There’s been a lot of talk recently about Bigfoot and DNA. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve read someone say or had someone tell me that DNA will prove the existence of Bigfoot as a real, biological animal. All we need is a really, really, really good sample and an open-minded scientist to perform the testing. DNA has become the holy grail of Bigfoot research, but it’s based on a fallacy. DNA by itself will never prove Bigfoot exists.

Why not? To name and describe a new species, scientists require a physical sample known as a type specimen or holotype. A holotype is a single individual that represents an entire species. Although a single specimen may represent the entire species, multiple specimens are preferable for demonstrating that a new species has indeed been found. A DNA sample by itself proves nothing, as far as defining a new species. Comparing the new sample to existing DNA samples on file will show, at best, that the new sample does not correspond with any known species. All you will have proven is that scientists can’t identify what type of creature the DNA came from.

This does not mean the DNA came from a new species.

The sample could’ve been contaminated, a possibility that plagues Bigfoot research because purported DNA samples from Bigfoot have likely not been collected with an eye to preventing contamination. Even scientists have problems with contamination. A 2008 article in Archaeology magazine discussed the problem of contamination in collecting DNA samples from archaeological sites. The author stated that “excavators would have to wear what amount to space suits” in order to eliminate contamination. DNA samples collected in the wild may have been exposed to the elements for an undetermined time. Even if they were supposedly collected straight from the source — namely, a Bigfoot — the Bigfoot researcher may have inadvertently contaminated the sample simply by collecting it. Are researchers wearing space suits, or even sterile gloves?

Let’s assume said sample was collected in a perfectly sterile manner, with zero chance of contamination. The DNA test comes back as an unknown animal or, at best, an unknown primate. This has not proven Bigfoot exists. It has not even proven the researcher has discovered a new species. The test has proven only that the specific DNA sample in question can’t be identified with anything currently known to science.

The confusion over Bigfoot and DNA is understandable. It’s easy to get confused reading news headlines announce new species discovered using DNA. We have to dig a little deeper, sometimes just by bothering to carefully read the entire article and other times by searching out the original scientific paper, to discover the truth. New species “discovered” through DNA analysis alone are actually cryptic species, creatures that are physiologically identical to another species, akin to identical twins in our own species. By studying the DNA of the species in question, scientists have discovered genetic differences that led them to conclude one twin is different enough from the other to be considered a new species. The new species was, in essence, hiding within another species. Scientists already had specimens of the new species, though they didn’t realize it.

DNA alone won’t prove Bigfoot exists. If we want scientists to accept Bigfoot’s existence, we must present them with physical specimens, not DNA. It’s time we accept this fact and move on. - jacobsvillebooks

"Finding Bigfoot' filming in Minnesota

I’ve never seen Bigfoot, but I’ve heard him. I swear. Apparently I’m not the only one in our area that has a Bigfoot story to share. The TV show “Finding Bigfoot” is currently shooting footage and accounts in the Northland. I’ve done some research and I’ve found some stories in our own backyard. I’ll share them with you, along with my own, after the jump. This is a relatively recent story when I heard Bigfoot. It could be another animal, but I have no idea what animal it would be. That’s what makes it so mysterious.

My wife and I were up at our family’s hunting shack in Northern MN near Cook, MN. It was probably around 10PM when I went to the edge of the woods because “nature was calling.” It was pitch black as it was a rainy kind of night and I heard a weird shrieking noise. It wasn’t a high shriek, or a low shriek, but like a combination. Then I heard it crash off into the woods.

It scared the hell out of me! It happened again later that night, several hours later, and again the next night. I’ve ruled out it being a bear, a buck grunting, or an owl. I guess it’s a mystery.

There are some more accounts, including footprints found near Virginia MN. There also appears to be several sightings in Itasca County and even one near Brimson, MN. - kkcb

Comments with video: A Minnesota farmer and his wife were walking in the woods north of Stillwater one July night, when they saw a strange animal, according to a new YouTube video. The couple thought they'd come upon a deer, but heard a "low odd sounding grunt," and decided to get closer and see what it was.

Just the Facts? - The Government Took Our Bigfoot

I honestly thought this clown had faded into obscurity. Rick Dyer - one of the bozos involved in the 2008 Georgia Bigfoot hoax - is now stating that the 'truth will be told' on August 15th...the anniversary of his 2008 stunt. He now claims that the government took the real Bigfoot body he and his partner had killed and dragged out of the woods and that they were forced to perpetuate the hoax. He also has a few choice words for the 'Bigfoot community' and some of it's more infamous characters.

If you are unfamiliar with what happened in the Summer of 2008, here are several links to posts I made at the time. It seems Mr. Dyer currently has a bad case of 'selective memory':

Woman who can't stop eating her late husband's ashes

We've met the lady who eats dryer cloths, the teddy bear mother and the woman with 24-inch nails. There was even an adult baby who sleeps in a cot and wears diapers.

TLC's reality TV show, My Strange Addiction, takes a look into the less-than-orthodox compulsive habits of some interesting characters. And, true to form, it has delivered some colourful tales in its second series run.

Saving the best for last, the series finale, last night, featured a woman who is so close to the memory of her late husband that she eats his ashes.

26-year-old Casie, who was widowed just two months before filming the show, is unable to stop herself from dipping her finger into her husband's urn of ashes and taking a lick of the grey dust.

She says she first tasted the remains of her husband, Shawn, when she transferred the ashes from a temporary cardboard box into a special memorial urn.

'Some of it spilled out on my hands. I didn't want to just wipe him away, so I just licked it off my fingers.

'And here I am today, almost two months later and I can't stop.'

Shawn died from a sudden and severe asthma attack. The couple married in 2009 after Casie found 'all she ever wanted in a man.'

The programme shows the distraught Casie carrying the urn full of ashes - an unwieldy black box - everywhere she goes. She takes 'him' to the cinema, to the shops and to restaurants.

'I take my husband everywhere. To the grocery store, out shopping...When I go grocery shopping, I buy the things that he likes.'

At home, she tailors her domestic chores to suit Shawn's tastes. - dailymail

SETI back in business

Astronomers at the cash-strapped SETI Institute are poised to resume the quest for extraterrestrial life, after raising more than $200,000 to restart a key array of telescopes.

The institute was forced to put the hunt on hold in April, after cash-strapped governments decided they could no longer afford to pay the interstellar phone bill. To raise the required money, SETI turned to crowdsourcing: It unveiled the SETIStars.org website in June and independently raised the $204,129 needed to restart the Allen Telescope Array.

"Thank you to everyone who helped us reach our goal of getting the ATA back online!" reads a note posted to the SETI website. "Stay tuned for updates. We are discovering more Earth-like planets every day, so now is more critical than ever to look for extraterrestrial life."

In April, astronomers at the SETI Institute said a steep drop in state and federal funds has forced the shutdown of the Allen array, a powerful tool in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence.

"There's plenty of cosmic real estate that looks promising," Seth Shostak, senior astronomer at the institute, said at the time. "We've lost the instrument that's best for zeroing in on these better targets."

The 42 radio dishes that make it up had scanned deep space since 2007 for signals from alien civilizations while also conducting research into the structure and origin of the universe. The $50 million array was built by SETI and UC Berkeley with the help of a $30 million donation from Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen.

The quest for funding isn't over yet, however. Operating the dishes cost about $1.5 million a year, mostly to pay for the staff of eight to 10 researchers and technicians to operate the facility. An additional $1 million a year was needed to collect and sift the data from the dishes.

The Institute is looking for other source of money for the $2.5 million it requires annually to operate.

The SETI Institute was founded in 1984 and has received funding from NASA, the National Science Foundation and several other federal programs and private foundations. It uses other tools in the quest for alien life, such as a dish at Arecibo in Puerto Rico, the largest radio telescope in the world.

The difference, Shostak said, was that SETI researchers can point the Arecibo telescope at selected sites in space for only about two weeks a year.

While the telescope in Northern California is not as powerful, it could be devoted to the search year-round.

"It has the advantage that you can point it where you want to point it and you can keep pointing it in that direction for as long as we want it to," Shostak said.

The dishes also are unique in the ability to probe for signals from extraterrestrial civilizations while gathering more general scientific data.

"That made the telescope a double-barreled threat," said Leo Blitz, a professor of astronomy at UC Berkeley and former director of the observatory that includes the Allen Telescope Array. - foxnews

Graves of plantation slaves unearthed as drought empties water from Texas reservoir

One of the worst droughts in Texas history has unearthed a chilling discovery, a graveyard for freed slaves..

While the heat may be taking a toll on crops, livestock and people's livelihoods, it has helped archaeologists to reveal a small piece of American history.

Two graves have been uncovered that are believed to have been buried for more than a century.

'This grave was actually uncovered by erosion from the water,' Sgt. Hank Bailey of the Navarro County Sheriff's Office.

'It was several feet deep years and years ago.'

Cemeteries were marked and moved before the Richland Chambers Reservoir in Navarro County, Texas, was filled in the 1980s, but this small cemetery without tombstones went unnoticed.

Human remains were initially discovered in 2009 by boaters when the water level was low, but the water rose quickly and archaeologists and historians have been waiting ever since for the reservoir to reveal the cemetery again.

Bruce McManus, chairman of the Navarro County Historical Commission, said: 'It's not one of the great finds of history, but it's important to us on a local level.

'It's one of the lost cemeteries we've been looking for.'

The remains that have been found will be reburied elsewhere, ABC News reports.

For now, investigators are keeping the cemetery's location a secret because they are afraid of looters. The discovery of the graves comes after a piece of debris from the doomed space shuttle Columbia was found in a Texas lake.

Drought caused the water levels to recede, exposing the relic eight years after it fell to Earth.

Nasa confirmed today that the object found in Lake Nacogdoches was part of Columbia’s power reactant and storage distribution system, which held the cryogenic hydrogen and oxygen necessary for the vehicle’s fuel cells to produce electricity in space.

The record heat is not only adding to the local history books, but also to the stress placed on energy providers.

The electrical grid is under so much stress that companies are bringing old power stations back to life.

'We are setting all-time peak records three days in a row,' said Luminant spokesman, Scott Diermann.

'We've never had that happen before.'

Texas is not alone. Four of the eight largest power grid operators in the U.S. and Canada have set all-time records over the last two weeks.

In Dallas, the heat is supposed to keep on coming.

Forecasters predict Dallas will see triple-digit temperatures for at least another week. - dailymail
