Spiritual / Paranormal Activity News: Spirit Rescue International Case Update and 'Poltergeist' Star's Real Haunted House

Hunterdon County, New Jersey Malevolent Haunting - Spirit Rescue International

Irene and I conducted a remote view session on Wednesday April 6th. Several SRI team members listened to the session live via Skype. This synopsis will be brief.

The RV was done in 5 phases including a few other exercises in order to isolate and clear the opposing entity, which was a middle-aged male with a long full beard, dark clothing and heavy boots...as well as a very nasty disposition. There was also a teenage female spirit who was likely married in real-life to the male entity...possibly an arranged union. The female spirit was 'kept' and obsessed on by the male spirit in life and in death.

To make a long story short, Irene was able to move this male spirit away from the location...the female spirit may be moved later, though it seems not to be causing problems in the household.

The client was contacted by us immediately following the RV and advised of the session and given follow-up / support information.

I invite those SRI member who witnessed the RV session to comment on the proceedings and add their recollections...Lon

Poltergeist star: I grew up in REAL haunted house

sundaymercury - The child star of the terrifying Poltergeist films has revealed he grew up in a REAL haunted house.

Oliver Robins played Robbie Freeling in the classic horror movie in 1982 and in the sequel four years later.

But he told the Sunday Mercury that he had experienced ghouls for real when he was a boy – and channelled that fear during the filming of the blockbusters.

“I grew up in a townhouse in New York up until the age of seven and it was haunted,” Oliver explained during an appearance at the NEC’s Spring Memorabilia show last weekend.

“It was built in the 1870s and there was definitely a presence. I could hear footsteps going up and down the stairs, although I never actually saw anything.

“As a child I think you are more open to that sort of thing.”

And when it came to filming the scary scenes in Poltergeist, it was those chilling memories he thought of.

“I was never really scared during filming because there was so much going on,’’ he recalled.

“We did know we were in something very scary, but we had no idea what that fear was going to embody until we went to the first screening of the movie months later.

“When it came down to the horror scenes, the director told us that we had to think of something that frightened us. I immediately thought back to when I lived in this house and how scared I was. I guess it worked.”

But the movies were said to be hit by the ‘Curse of Poltergeist’ after a succession of stars died during, and after the completion of, the two films, as well as a final movie.

Dominique Dunne, who played eldest daughter Dana, died in 1982 aged 22, after being strangled by her abusive boyfriend.

Julian Beck, who starred as Henry Kane in the sequel, passed away in 1985 of stomach cancer.

Will Sampson, 53, aka Taylor the Medicine Man, died as a result of post-operative kidney failure two years later.

But the most shocking tragedy saw child star Heather O’Rourke, who played Carol Anne, pass away in 1988 aged just 12. She fell victim to septic shock after bacterial toxins invaded her bloodstream.

Oliver has not succumbed to the ‘curse’ and is now a writer and director – and hopes to make a mock horror movie one day. “I could definitely make a spoof film,’’ he said.

‘‘I think they’re great and there have already been quite a few incorporating Poltergeist. Maybe that’s next on the list...”
