Assessment: 'Fact or Faked' Presentation - Alien Intruder - David Eckhart

On Wednesday, an interpretation of David Eckhart's encounters was presented on 'Fact or Faked: The Paranormal Files'. There were, of course, time restraints since this was only a 20-25 minute segment...but the heart of the Eckhart Family's ordeal was never offered. For those who have been following this case here on 'Phantoms and Monsters', you realized fairly quickly the attempt to discredit David's claims by using (poorly) improvised props to recreate two videos.

The segment started out with a brief interview with David and Jean Eckhart outside the house (Note: the Eckharts moved out of this house over a year ago and live nearby...they considered it their 'dream home' but the situation was just too intolerable). The 'earthworm phenomena' mentioned in the interview was covered briefly by me because I really had no idea what to make of it...though I was aware of the incidents. It seemed that after each 'intrusion' into the house would result in the driveway being covered with thousands of earthworms the next morning. It was so bad that David would need to wash the earthworms onto the street and gutter (to the chagrin of the neighbors).

The video recreations by the 'Fact or Fake' team were not conceived very well...and the attempts to make the audience agree with their interpretation were somewhat lame. If you watch the original video you will notice that David and Jean never move from the bed, so the claim that David had somehow manipulated a mannequin was a bit disingenuous. As well, the recreation of the second video was also unbelievable compared to the original video.

The use of the lasers in order to detect an intruder was a reasonable attempt but other factors, including electrical interference and confusion, nixed the experiment. The presence of the earthworms in the yard was interesting but I really don't know how to explain that...something is triggering this phenomenon. The fact that the voice 'deception' program concluded that David was not making an attempt of deceiving the investigators was significant. I have maintained for the three years I have been involved in this case and in the multiple hours I have talked to David I have never been under the impression that he was trying to deceive me. He has been forthcoming and has always followed through with my requests.

The conclusion was that David Eckhart was NOT attempting deception

Though I am not done investigating this case, there are a few conclusions that I can make as to why there was so much activity at the location (even though David and his family are STILL being visited...but to a lesser degree).

I have thought from the beginning that there is spiritual activity in the house. I have covered some of that evidence previously...all of the links to extensive evidence and documentation can be found at:

Even though human and/or non-terrestrial spirits may be present, I have no doubt that there are at least two portals in the house...both, of which, can give access to multiple dimensions. Irene Block and I have remote viewed this location and have concluded that a ley line confluence is present and that magnetic 'drop offs' may possibly account for the portals. As well, the entire area (Milton / Gulf Breeze, Florida) has been an historical hotbed for paranormal activity...especially UFO and non-terrestrial phenomena.

As to the Eckhart Family's many abduction scenarios and other encounters, please refer to the links above...there is simply too much evidence to present in one post. More videos can be found at 'Phantoms and Monsters Media'

There is much more to this case that needs to be explored. There is further evidence that needs to be examined. I will state that David and I truly appreciate the hundreds of supporters who have acknowledged that this case is significant and must be taken seriously. Thanks again...Lon

The following anecdote was forwarded to me by a reader in reference to a friend's bizarre encounter. The experiencer did not want me to have access to their email address and requested that any information be relayed by their friend. I was given permission to publish their account. I was told that comments from other readers would be welcomed:

Hello - I was referred to you by a friend who is a subscriber to your newsletter. I recently had an experience that I cannot explain. I was hoping you or someone you know could help with an explanation.

I work for a limousine service in New York City and on 24-hour call. A few nights ago, I received a text message from the dispatcher around 9:30 pm and was instructed to pickup a client who would be arriving at the Westchester County Airport at midnight. Though I'm on 24-hour call, I rarely receive late night calls especially for a pickup outside of the city. I decided to leave as soon as possible since I wasn't really familiar with the Westchester area. I arrived at the gate to the airport and was instructed to park in a waiting section not far off the tarmac. I could see the entire runway from my position.

At 11:45 pm I received another text message from the dispatcher that repeated the client's name and where I would be taking her. I was instructed that I may be in service for 'an extended period' since the client had several errands to make in the city and that I would need to return her to the airport when she was finished. This was very strange since I usually take a client from Point A to Point B, though I will occasionally run across an odd request.

A little after midnight, there was a knock at on the passenger window. I looked over and noticed a young woman with sunglasses. I stepped out of limo and asked if I could help her. It was the client. I was totally confused because no private jet landed and I never saw her walk up to the limo. Anyway, I opened the back door for her. I returned to the driver's seat as she handed me a list of locations she want to stop at. I noticed that all were residential addresses, a total of five locations.

As we started our way back into the city I noticed that she never removed her sunglasses but seemed to be reading a document in the dark. As well, she never spoke and only nodded or motioned her gloved hands. We stopped at the first location which in the Upper East Side. She simply got out of the limo on her on and walked directly into the townhouse. A few minutes later, she returned to the limo and quickly got into the limo by herself. It was the same routine at the other locations - two in the West Village, another in Soho and last residence was in the Lower East Side where she remained for close to 2 1/2 hours. After we were finished, I asked if she wanted to return to the airport and she nodded in the affirmative. I noticed that she act very tired and was more pale than before.

We finally reached the airport around 6:15 am as it was just starting to turn daylight. As I pulled up to the gate, she suddenly opened the door and got out. She walked around to my side of the window and motioned for me to open the window. As I was doing this she reached into her small briefcase and removed five one-hundred dollar bills and handed it to me. I looked up at her as she smiled and spoke in a very weak high pitched voice saying "go home now - remember me." Then she turned around and walked quickly toward the hangers. I was simply dumbfounded. What did she mean?

I started to back the limo out of the access road when suddenly I felt a warm rush of air and a bright flash. The next thing I remember is waking up in bed in my uniform. I rushed out of bed and looked out the window to see of the limo was parked in my driveway. The limo was there as usual, so I went outside and looked inside. On the front passenger's seat lay the five one-hundred dollar bills. When I looked into the backseat, there were a pair of long leather gloves and the sunglasses worn by the client.

Can you possibly explain what happened to me? I have suffered no ill-effects from this incident but feel that something else will happen. What did she mean by "remember me"? Any information you can provide would be most appreciated. SM

UPDATE: I later received a few answers to questions I forwarded in regards to the incident. SM states that he awoke at 7:30 am in his bed in Queens, NY...only 1 hour 15 minutes after his last waking moment at the Westchester County Airport. In fact, his wife was still in bed and did not noticed when he returned home which he said was very unusual since she is a very light sleeper. He also has no recollection of anything during this lost time. SM also states that there was an 'ozone' odor on his clothes. I asked SM to keep me abreast of any noticeable experiences, which he has promised to do...Lon

An Altered State Experience

The following account was forwarded by a reader in the UK. Was this an 'out of body experience' or something much different?

I was interested to read a recent article in Phantoms and Monsters about people who have had an out of the body experience and thought that I would send you an account of my own experience.

When I was twelve years old my mother took me to the dentist for a course of treatment which included fillings and extractions. On my last visit I had to have four teeth extracted, In those days they gave you gas and I remember the dentist putting the mask over my face and telling me to count to ten. I remember the smell of rubber as I was counting up to ten, I reached about half way and I groaned and then something strange happened. Instead of just being unconscious I found that I could still see but not as normal, everything had a white outline against a black background. I could 'see' the dentist pick up my left arm and drop it on the arm of the chair but I felt nothing. I could then see his face in front of mine and the thought entered my head that if I could see him and knew what was happening would I feel my teeth being pulled?

I have to tell you that I did. And another strange thing which honestly makes me question it all, for as he pulled on my teeth I saw his face change to an egg shape! Now the pain that I believed I was experiencing and the total lack of being able to communicate this, and the fear and anxiety of my predicament, brought on what I believe to have been an altered state of consciousness. For suddenly I heard a roaring noise in my ears and everything began to spin around and I seemed to come too and of being in a black void but feeling very peaceful. I had no memory of who I was or where I had just been it did not seem to matter. I did not seem to possess a body and yet I remember feeling that I was in an upright position.

I had no sense of movement and yet I was contented to be found where I was. It was then that I noticed a white light moving towards me from up above on my righthand side and I began to turn and look up. It was then that I heard a mans voice ordering me to look down. I did and what seemed to me to be a long way away I saw what looked like a circle of dim light and a room with people in there bending over something, and then my memory came back and I remember thinking, that's the dentist's room, that is where I should be. I then remember slowly waking up from this experience and although I could not in those moments focus my eyes properly, I remember saying, "I have had an awful dream," and a voice like that of a woman's saying," yes we know you have."

I don't know what happened to me, and although I always cleaned my teeth as one is supposed too, I did not go back to the dentist for over thirty years. I once spoke with an anesthetist who said that I had not been put under properly. Yes I agree that may be a fair judgment but not to answer the whole of my experience. - RL

Sasquatch...or Something Else?

The following account was posted on the MUFON CMS today:

Maud, Oklahoma - 4/15/2010 - edited for spelling: Was out rabbit hunting between the hours of 2130 CDT to about 2315 CDT on a farm outside of Maud, Oklahoma. It was a clear and cold night with a quarter moon out. I was armed with an a pump-action tactical shotgun and a Kimber 5in. 45. cal. pistol along with about 100 rounds of 45 and 45 shotgun rounds. Both weapons are equipped with high end wight lights.

Upon returning to my home, about 2315 CDT, I walked up on my patio which is about 5 feet off the ground. When I saw a large human like figure that was bigger then any man I ever saw. I used the surefire white light on my shotgun to see better. Due to light fog, I could only see about 25 feet with the light. The creature was out in the open enough to see an outline of the figure. I had seen all my animals act unusual prior, a feeling of being watched at hours of darkness on more then once. The figure was watching me and made eye contact. It was very large and close to 7 to 8 feet tall, was very stocky build, would guess over 400 lbs.

The figure seemed annoyed that I pointed my shotgun at it. Seemed to have no fear of me or my animals. My dog (military trained) cowered down and would not respond to commands. I did contact a "bigfoot team" that showed up within 72 hours of this. No evidence was found. No footprints, hair, nothing.

I did experience some lapse in memory there after. I am a retired special forces sniper with 10 yrs. experience and 3 tours in Iraq including the Iraq Invasion with the 3rd Inf. Div. on the frontlines. I have no knowledge after all I seen and done to describe this figure. I do need to be kept out of any public report because of my background and security clearance with the military. I just want answers and will provide full cooperation in person. The biggest thing that bothers me is the lack of fear from the figure and my fear back . I fear very little in life. Just want to get to the bottom of this.

NOTE: could this have been (what I refer to) an interdimensional Sasquatch? Here's the link for those who have not read it - The Interdimensional Sasquatch. I've maintained for the past two years or so that Sasquatch may be something other than just a flesh and blood terrestrial being. There have been countless sightings (including myself) of this creature as compared to the amount of physical evidence retrieved. This fact has forced me question the true nature of the beast, namely...is Sasquatch a multidimensional entity? Is it possible that Sasquatch has the ability to move in and out of this plane of existence into an alternative universe? Perhaps this creature is simply not an earth bound entity because it is actually extraterrestrial or of alien origin....or maybe it has traveled back from the future earth and is a creature that will one day inhabit our planet. Then again, is it possible that those alien beings and strange entities that are witnessed everyday in our present world are simply our descendants from the earth's future just paying us a visit? MUFON: Reports of Odd Encounters

MUFON CMS - Barnstaple, Devonshire, UK - 2/8/2008: I was getting a cup of coffee from my kitchen which looks out over the East of the town. I live on the top floor and have lived here for over 6 years and am well aware of what sorts of things I'm likely to see in the skies over town. There is a local hospital that gets visits from the air ambulance several times a week and also a local police helicopter that is bright red and instantly recognisable. A few miles away there is a training camp which used to be an airfield and rescue helicopters are still based there. I mention these because I am well aware of what a helicopter looks like and have seen aircraft of all types close up and from a distance. My eyesight is also excellent for my age (48).

At 9:30am on the 8th of February 2008 as I stood waiting for the kettle to boil for a cup of coffee, I witnessed a strange object pass over town from the South on a Northerly heading. The object appeared to be only a few hundred feet above ground level and was almost at eye-level. It was a clear sunny morning & I was instantly confused by what I was looking at, as it didn't look like a bird or a helicopter or anything instantly recognisable, so I opened the window to listen, but heard nothing but the usual morning traffic in town.

As I watched it seemed to shift its shape almost like a coiled up worm or snake tied in a knot, but it didn't get any bigger or anything. It was dark in colour, almost black/grey and when it moved like that I got the distinct feeling I was looking at a creature not a craft. As it got past town I noticed that there seemed to be something under it and I watched as it went over a hill.

Once I couldn't see it anymore I went to the front of the property to see if it was in sight but it had gone. The entire incident had lasted no more than 30 or 40 seconds and I was left very puzzled as to what I'd just seen.

On reflection about half an hour later I saw a helicopter pass at the same angle of view from my kitchen and it struck me that what I had seen earlier was either very big or had been much closer to me than I initially thought. If it had been an aircraft on the same heading, it would have been about 10 times as big as the RAF rescue helicopters. If it was closer then it was still bigger than a London bus and yet there was no obvious sound coming from it when I had opened the window. Nobody else I know saw it but it was all over very quickly in about 30-40 seconds and if I had been pouring my coffee I would have missed the entire episode.

I could do a sketch if necessary as I am an artist, but all I would draw would be a dark blob like a dark knot changing shape (like a writhing snake) with an odd hazy area underneath it.

MUFON CMS - Kentucky - 11/10/2008: This sounds crazy I know! The weirdest thing happened I go running about 4 times a week I run to the top of a mountain and pray. Well I noticed an object in the sky a red light very fast I thought it was a comet until it stopped above me and started getting closer. I closed my eyes for maybe 3 seconds and when I opened them I was shocked there someone was in front of me. I thought it may be someone else out hiking or something he looked normal so I asked him does he see that. He told me he came out of it I laughed thinking he was joking. He told me he needed my help with something that only I could help him with I told him he was crazy. I told him aliens don't exist but he didn't call himself an alien he called himself something else at first he wasn't even speaking in English. He asked me what did he have to do to prove he was an alien I was joking and said make fire come out of your hands I didn't think it was possible I must be going crazy because I swear I seen fire. I screamed he grabbed my mouth and said I'm not here to hurt you I need your help.Being afraid I asked him what was it he needed,he told me some crazy story about him and his brother and that I knew where his brother was and where his brothers spear was. It is crazy but I had a dream about his brother before but I don't know him just the name. Before he could finish talking to me something else came out of the forest except it didn't look like us it was pale skinned, no hair, great athletic condition,eyes so dark I have never seen that color black before it wasn't very tall either maybe 4.5ft maximum. They started fighting the next thing I know I'm knocked down and when I raise up there both gone. The one that I first talked to though didn't look nothing like the other it looked like us and it had a sword that when it hit a tree as he swung at the other and it fell over it went straight threw. There is more but to much to go over here I think I may be going crazy. Please one of you that work here please contact me and tell me I am going crazy. I am very afraid.

MUFON CMS - 1/16/11: Last night we were driving from San Luis Obispo, California, traveling North on Highway 101. There were four of us, two boys, two girls. All between the ages of 15 and 18. Our intentions were to turn East at Florence towards Eugene, our final destination. It was late night past the middle of November, 1967. It was foggy and we had been behind a logging truck since somewhere near the border of California. The road is winding as it follows along the Coast, with sharp drop-offs to the Ocean on the left side and steep hillside on the right. We stayed behind for so long because there was no safe place to pass and no turn-offs. We grew weary and our driver finally decided to risk it. Just as we were on the left-side (the ocean-side) of the log-truck, a blinding bright light shown into the windshield of the car from directly in front. I was in the front seat. I was certain it was another log-truck and we were going to die. But then, all of a sudden, we were parked alongside a small gas station in a small town. There was a Woman there. We were very disoriented and asked where we were. Somehow we were 60 miles farther up the road. With the road conditions, that would have been two hours of driving time. We couldn't understand how the truck that we were passing just disappeared. We were confused and wondered what had happened because we KNEW that SOMETHING out of the ordinary had occurred but we didn't know WHAT. In the third week of August 1968, the girl who had been in the back seat gave birth to a healthy baby. And a week later the other girl did.

MUFON CMS - Saskatchewan, Canada: This account was relayed to me by my father. Please let me make it clear that my father was not a story teller, very seldom did he talk about his life unless asked. He called me one day in the early 90's, him calling me was odd in and of it's self, as I was the one that called him usually. His voice seemed different, tense, then out of the blue he said he had some thing to tell me, I got rather concerned as there was an urgency in his voice that I had " never " heard before. He proceeded to tell me about an event that took place near Pike Lake Sask. Can. at my Grandparents place. He and his brother Paul were sitting around the kitchen table just talking passing time, killing the after noon together when they decided they would head outside and putts around in the yard, as they headed out the back door my uncle Paul in the lead and my father close behind, Paul stepped into a "bright " light that was coming from above and my father was frozen in the door way, literally. He said he tried to move but was unable to, he stood there and watched as his brother carried on a conversation with what ever was up there as his gaze was fixed up at the source of the light. Dad said he was not speaking in any language that he could recognize. He (dad) had no idea how long they were there for. When the light left he fell forward through the doorway, and asked his brother "what the hell just happened, and who the hell were you talking too"? His brother just turned around looking at him like 'he' was crazy as he didn't know what he was talking about. His brother had no memory of what had just happened, and left my father with the heavy burden of keeping the secret because who would believe him. He followed that up with another event that took place on that same property but to my grandfather some years before that. After he was done I could hear the relief in his voice, and we never talked about it again. I myself am sure I saw what I would call UFO's back in the 70's, so I didn't write my dad off as a nut. I have great respect for my father, and only known him to be a man of his word. I happen to be channel surfing and caught an episode of MUFON on the ID channel, and something triggered the memory and I thought I would share it. Dogman Entity - North Central Texas - SRI

North Central Texas - 1/5/11 - Spirit Rescue International was contacted by a very reliable source asking us to try and locate a portal on her land which she suspects has been opening up. The client herself has also seen what appears to be a black creature which was also witnessed by a neighbour at a different time.

The neighbour also reports a car driving along the road that came to a sudden halt parallel to the creature then sped away at high speed, could it be that the cars occupants also have witnessed the creature.

The following day the client went to the position of the sighting to take photos, as she approached the area she at once became fearful, the atmosphere had changed her gut feeling told her to get away and she fled back to the house. This lady is very level headed and doe's not get scared easily.

This is about all we have at the moment. We do not like to be given to many details before a remote view. This sounds like it is going to be a very interesting one though.

As soon as we can, this RV will take place. The target will be a stretch of land that extends to 19 acres...Irene

Remote View Notes

Irene and I conducted a remote view on this case today, 1/10/11.

Irene set the target coordinates for me and monitored the session. We systematically executed 4 phases in order to perceive the target and to gather as much information possible. This session would be a bit different than previous remote views due to the large area involved as well as the uncertainty as to what I was hoping to perceive.

In Phase 1, the coordinates (a set of two - four digit numbers) were given to me...from which an ideogram (a graphic symbol that represents an idea or concept) was developed. The target was a chosen point in real time which may have been related to the sightings at the location. By probing the ideogram, 'descriptors' (the function of describing) were used to determine the nature of the target. Several attempts with the same target coordinates were done in order to get a average assessment. In this case, the descriptors were varied and did not offer has much information as desired.

In Phase 2, the target vignette was narrowed by probing for sounds, textures, temperatures, colors, luminescence, contrast and smells. Through this information I was able to focus in on any verticals, horizontals, diagonals, topography, mass and energetics as well as my overall 'feeling' of the target. As in Phase 1, my sense of the target was varied and unclear though a few bits of information were coming into view.

In Phase 3, I made a rough sketch or drawing of what I was perceiving. At this point, the sketch was assumed to be a 'portal'. The description of the portal from Phase 2 was that of a 'dark to light blue colored space that varied in size, shape and luminescence....a sulfur smell was present as well as the sensation of something slick and fluid to the touch'.

In Phase 4, I went into a deeper perception of the target. This included sense, magnitudes, emotions, physicals, subspace, viewer feeling, concepts and deductions. There were other specifics used, but at this point there was no systematic procedure needed because the observations were beginning to flood in. I immediately started to sense an entity present...described as a low-to-the-ground creature moving around the location. This entity was dark colored, canine in appearance but also possessed some human-like features. There was hair on the face and back but the rest of the body was hairless with a dark colored 'sheen' on the skin.

As I probed deeper into the target I sensed that (in real time) it was dusk and that seemed to be the time that this entity moved through the portal onto the surface plane. The creature noticed me and suddenly turned away...an attempt to avoid looking directly at me. There was no malevolence detected.

I had previously detected an underground route or cavern that allowed this entity to move undetected at fairly lengthy distances to other portals along the way. As well, there is a very good possibility that this is a multidimensional being...though, there does seem to be some physical aspects to it.

This area of Texas was inhabited by the Comanche Nation, so we will be considering some of their legends when researching this location...Lon

I contacted the client not long after the remote view session in order to get their thoughts and assessments. (NOTE: the client has known psychic ability and is a forensic artist)

The client verified that this entity does 'come out' at dusk and has been seen by several other witnesses at this location. This location also has natural gas reservoirs. One of the nearby natural gas heads has been leaking off and on...and that a 'sulfur' smelling additive indicates that the apparatus is leaking. As well, the general area has connecting oil fields...all open space underground would easily contain crude oil at various levels. (This may explain the 'dark colored sheen' on the creature).

The client was adamant that they sensed that I was at the location during the period of the remote view session.

The client has expressed that they do not want the entity moved because they feel it is a 'protector' and it should remain where it is comfortable. I wholeheartedly agree. The client and their family are of native American heritage and aware of the relationship between the spirit and natural world. They wanted to get a better sense of this entity in order to reassure those who also live on the premises...Lon

The following is an update from the client:

I just realized why you saw the portal as "a dark to light colored blue fluid gateway". We had a lot of rain before you did the remote view and there was standing water in the area where the portal was last seen. As you saw it in the light of dusk (sky was cloudy and gray), and with all that standing water, it would probably cause it to look lighter.

The portal itself is dark (pitch black), however I forgot to mention that I saw a reddish light, right at dark, just a few nights ago, in an area just south of where (name redacted) saw the portal. This was just a flash of red light, just above the ground. I could not make out anything else, as the surroundings were already dark. I felt that something emerged from that spot.

Could this be the entity that I saw looking in through my patio door? It was humanoid, not very large and pitch black. I only saw it's eyes for an instant, that's where I first got the sense of a lupine. The eyes were a dark yellow color but unlike a wolf, the eyes did not reflect light. It looked right at me, then vanished. You did not describe the color of the entity...was it dark and did you see it's eyes when it looked towards you?

I have a feeling that it watches me. I am not afraid of *it* but I am afraid to some extent, of what else is lurking out there. Perhaps that is why it is here? To guard me and others from something else?

NOTE: I feel that this is the same entity that I encountered. I mentioned to Irene that it did change facial features at least once while I observed it. The entity was very dark in color including the other features I made note of. I plan to research possible similar sightings in this region as well as Comanche and Wichita Nation legends. It does have a similarity to the Skin Walker stories, but there is a multidimensional aspect to this entity as opposed to a mystical perspective.
