The Betty and Barney Hill Abduction

On July 20, 2011, the State of New Hampshire erected a historical marker to commemorate the September 19-20, 1961 close encounter of Portsmouth residents Betty and Barney Hill. There is more detail at the end of the post...but first, let's look back at the case that brought alien abduction, lost time and bizarre humanoids to the forefront:

Date: September 19, 1961
Location: Exeter, New Hampshire, United States

New Hampshire is a marvelous and mysterious place. In the southern part of the state is North Salem, near which lies Mystery Hill, "America's Stonehenge", a collection of stone structures with a mysterious origin. Also in the south, near New Hampshire's small strip of coastline, is Exeter, the site of a large number of UFO sightings in 1965.

In the eastern central part of the state is Ossipee Lake, an area sacred to the Indians. In 1800, an Indian burial ground was discovered in the area that contained over ten thousand bodies arranged in concentric circles. There are numerous "kettle" lakes in the area that were carved out by glaciers during the ice ages, and the area is ringed by ancient volcanoes. Some of the ponds are considered bottomless and may be connected to each other by volcanic vents. It is said that UFOs have been seen plunging into these deep ponds.

Further north and in the center of New Hampshire lies the White Mountains National Forest. In the summer, the area is filled with vacationers and campers and hikers and fishermen. There are various sights to see, such as the Flume, The Old Man of the Mountain, Mount Washington, and Indian Head. In the winter, skiers flock to the slopes and hunters to the forests. But during the in-between times, the early fall and the early spring, the area is quiet, resting.

It probably wasn't easy having a mixed marriage in 1961, even in liberal New Hampshire, but the Hills seemed to have adjusted well. Betty Hill was a white social worker, and Barney Hill was a black postal employee. Barney was working in Boston, commuting back and forth daily from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where the couple lived. Barney had developed an ulcer, perhaps from stress at work, and when the opportunity came for a few days' vacation, he took it. Betty was able to schedule her vacation for the same time, so they decided to go to Canada. They took their little dachsund, Delsey, with them, staying in motels that would allow the dog in their room.

They went to Niagara Falls and to Montreal, and on September 19th, they were on their way back home to Portsmouth. They stopped in Colebrook for a burger and then wound on down Highway 3 through Lancaster.

At about 10:15PM, just south of Lancaster, Barney noticed a light in the sky below the moon, and called Betty's attention to it. At first they thought it was a planet, but then they noticed it was moving. Barney began trying to convince himself that it was only a satellite or a plane, becoming more and more agitated at anything that contradicted this view. Betty, whose sister had seen a UFO, was convinced from the start that the light in the sky was something unusual. They stopped the car to let Delsey do her business, and observed the object with a pair of binoculars they had.

By the time they reached the Flume, north of North Woodstock, the object had grown in size and Barney noticed that it had an unusual motion in that it would dart away to the west and then back, closer each time. At Indian Head, Barney stopped the car again and looked at the object with the binoculars. He could now see multi-colored lights and rows of windows on the pancake-shaped object, which was huge and was only a hundred feet away. He walked closer to the craft, and could see occupants standing inside, one of which he said seemed to be the "leader". He became very frightened and ran back to the car, where Betty was waiting. He started the car and took off quickly. They could no longer see the object, but they heard a beeping noise.

Sometime later, they heard the beeping noise again, and noticed that they were thirty-five miles south of Indian Head, at Ashland. They drove on home to Portsmouth without further incident.

They slept until afternoon, and when they awoke, Betty called her sister Janet and told her about their experience. Janet urged her to report the UFO sighting to nearby Pease Air Force Base. Over Barney's objections, Betty called the base and gave a report to Major Paul W. Henderson of the 100th Bomb Wing. When asked to do so by the Major, Barney reluctantly gave his version of the sighting. Curiously, Pease AFB was the home of the 509th Bomb Wing in 1961, the same 509th Bomb Wing whose home had been Roswell AAFB at the time of the "Roswell Incident" in 1947. According to Jacques Vallee in Dimensions, the Hills' sighting was corroborated by a radar sighting at Pease AFB on 20 September 1961, but his reference for this is unclear. It's an excerpt from Report No. 100-1-61, that says simply:

...a strange incident occurred at 0214 local on 20 Sept. No importance was attached to the incident at the time.

Aftermath

After reporting the incident, Barney preferred to forget about the event, but Betty went to the library to look up books on UFOs. She found Major Donald Kehoe's The Flying Saucer Conspiracy and read it avidly. She even wrote Kehoe a letter detailing their sighting. A few days later, ten days after their sighting, Betty began to have a series of nightmares that lasted five days and then stopped. The nightmares involved she and Barney being stopped at a road block and then being taken inside some large craft. At the urging of a friend, Betty wrote down the dreams.

Meanwhile, Betty's letter to Kehoe had been passed to Walter Webb, a lecturer on the staff of the Hayden Planetarium in Boston. Webb was a scientific advisor for NICAP (National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomenon), Kehoe's UFO organization. Webb was asked to interview the Hills. He drove up to Portsmouth and spent several hours interviewing them. He was much impressed with their sincerity and with the detail they provided, and he wrote a long report for NICAP.

After talking to Keyhoe, and after reading Webb's report, two technical writers who were interested in UFOs, Robert Hohman and C.D. Jackson, made arrangements to interview the Hills in November. It was during this interview that one of the writers asked a key question: Why had it taken the Hills so long to get home? Calculating the time and the mileage from Colebrook to Portsmouth showed that they should have gotten home two hours sooner than they did, even allowing for stops. Also present at this interview was Major James MacDonald, a former Air Force Intelligence officer and close friend of the Hills. It was he who first suggested hypnosis to recover their memory of the missing time period.

In March of 1962, they spoke to a psychiatrist about hypnosis, but decided to put it off until a later date. That summer, Barney's ulcers returned, and his recurring hypertention returned. Feeling that his problems were emotional in origin, he began therapy with a psychiatrist in Exeter, Dr. Stephens. He continued this therapy through the next year, but the UFO sighting was not explored as part of this treatment at first. But, not long after Betty and Barney had been asked to speak to a church group about their sighting, Dr. Stephens decided that the sighting was important. He also decided that hypnosis was needed to help Barney deal with the incident. Not being proficient in hypnosis himself, he referred Barney to Dr. Benjamin Simon, a well-known Boston psychiatrist and neurologist.

Dr. Simon quickly determined that he should treat both Betty and Barney for an anxiety syndrome that could be traced back to the incident on the night of September 19-20, 1961. He began by hypnotizing Barney, then Betty. Over the next six months, the story of the two hours of missing time began to emerge. Betty and Barney Hill told of being stopped at a roadblock and being taken onto the UFO, where they were given medical examinations before being returned to their car. Betty reported being shown a "star map" that was later interpreted to mean that the aliens came from Zeta Reticuli. Their story was later written into a two-part article in Look magazine, a book titled The Interrupted Journey by John G. Fuller, and later a TV movie called The UFO Incident starring Estelle Parsons and James Earl Jones as the Hills.

The Hill's story was the first "modern" abduction story. There was no Communion back in 1961, and no X-Files. Abduction stories had not become part of the popular culture yet. People had claimed to have contact with aliens, but they were "contactees" in the mold of George Adamski, who claimed to have been visited by friendly Venusians with long blond hair who gave him a warning for all mankind about nuclear war. Skeptics such as Martin S. Kottmeyer claim that the elements of the Hill abduction could be found in movies like 1953's Invaders From Mars and in the pulp science fiction magazines. They also say that an alien with wrap-around eyes such as Barney Hill described was portrayed on an episode of Outer Limits just 12 days before the hypnotic session during which he described the aliens. These claims might be compelling if it had ever been proven that Betty and Barney had seen the movie or the Outer Limits episode or that they were science fiction fans. But investigators such as Karl Pflock say that there is no evidence that they had been exposed to any of those things. Skeptics also point out that Betty's nightmares began after she read Keyhoe's book. That's true, but Barney had not read Kehoe's book when he saw the UFO with double rows of windows with "people" behind them on the night of the sighting.

Even if the dreams and the hypnotically recalled "abduction" are excluded for whatever reason, the sighting itself still stands as one of the most reliable and inexplicable on record.

Dr. Simon, the psychiatrist who worked through the post-traumatic stress of the incident with the Hills, did not believe that they were lying. He was unable to explain the sighting as anything other than an actual occurrence, and stated as much in a letter to the insurance company regarding the case. However, he did not believe that the abduction took place. His final diagnosis was that Betty's mind had created dreams of an abduction to fill the amnesia period, and that Barney's mind, when he heard the content of her dreams, had unconsciously absorbed her dreams for the same purpose of filling the missing time period. None of this, of course, explains exactly what DID happen and why it took the Hills two hours longer than normal to drive from Colebrook to Ashland. - Loy Lawhon, About.com

Preliminary: Driving home to Portsmouth, NH, from a vacation trip at about 11:00 P.M., they saw a star like object approaching them on an erratic course; it looked like a craft. Through binoculars Barney saw beings in it looking at him. He fled to the car and they sped away They experienced a time lapse.

Initial activities: Under hypnosis details of an encounter emerged; six or more humanoid beings approached their car after they turned off into a wooded area, and they were escorted up a ramp and on board the craft.

Craft/Beings: Disc-shaped with windows, a half-dozen uniformed beings visible inside. Beings were 5 ft. to 5 ft. 4 in. (1.5-1.6 m) tall, and had broad foreheads, round faces tapered toward the chin, dark cat like eyes that extended around to the side of the head, small mouths, small noses, grayish skin, dark clothing.

Onboard features: Curved corridor around the circumference of the craft. Witnesses taken into wedge-shaped rooms. Metallic and white examining rooms illuminated by bluish fluorescence, with tables and various equipment, instruments, storage compartments.

Onboard activities: First Betty and then Barney was extensively examined.

Communication: When communicating among themselves, the beings made a mumbling or humming sound. Only the leader and the examiner communicated with them. Betty (apparently via telepathy) was told that she should not be afraid; they only wanted to conduct some tests and would return them to the car. Later they asked her about concepts of aging and measures of time.

Termination/Return: Two men escorted Barney to the exit, his eyes still closed. Barney walked down the ramp, opened his eyes, and saw the car. He got inside and sat waiting for Betty. The leader escorted Betty partway to the car. After the craft took off, she got back in the car and Barney drove off.

Aftermath: Both felt numb and confused and had memory gaps. They reached home about 5:00 A.M., two hours later than expected. Barney found the tops of his shoes scuffed, and burrs in his cuffs and socks. Ten days later Betty had vivid nightmares about the experience. Barney had a vague dream about a roadblock, later had physical problems. Eventually they sought help and were referred for psychological counseling. THE ABDUCTORS

In October 1967, shortly after he had made his original sketches of the Hill occupants, David Baker wrote Betty and Barney Hill to explain why he had depicted the features of the faces the way he did. The following are his comments, published here for the first time, as taken from that letter.

With my knowledge of anatomy I am endeavoring to put your detailed facial descriptions into a possible anatomical arrangement following known laws of bone structure.

1. Eyes, slanted, rounding sides of face indicating peripheral vision. Anatomy for such eyes would indicate bone structure to protect such enlarged eyeballs, also would extend cheek bones around curve of front facial plane, giving a look to eyes of not so much oriental as like a cat's eyes.

2. Wide cheeked, weak chinned, Mongoloid suggestion to face. Such extended cheek bones could minimize nose, mouth and chin area of face by association or contrast.

3. Large head. If the head cavity held such enlarged eyeballs, a space for a more normal sized brain area could be gained by an enlargement of back or top of head, giving a larger than normal appearing skull area.

4. Immobility of mouth muscle control could give an impression of not registering usual emotions of sadness or joy. You noted, I recall, with great concern, the simulated effort we demonstrated of mouth immobility by pulling a tight silk stocking over face. Lips were pressed close to teeth line, neutralizing all usual lip fullness and character. In fact, the stocking trick gave Mongoloid expression to all bound features.

5. Membrane over mouth-opening when it was opened slightly with no spoken words heard only grunts. Is it possible a membrane, for protective or other reasons, restricted all normal face movements or even sheathed body of entity?

6. Nostrils prominent and heavy breathing noticed, also lack of nose cartilage. Even a tight mask could not hide but could minimize nose cartilage, but could press back tip of nose and expose nostrils. No membrane over nostrils was noted so assume breathing was all done there. Breathing could become labored if mouth aperture was sealed from outside air.

7. Whites of eyes of yellowish cast. Could be caused by tonality of mask or membrane.

8. Blinking of eyes was not apparent Small pupils were. If membrane held eyes open, an effect of smaller pupils could be noticeable, if whites of eyes were bared. Membrane could keep air and impurities out of eyes, making blinking, to relubricate orbs, unnecessary.

9. Lack of ears, only ear holes and lack of hair. Tight membrane could restrict ear cartilage and also hair, producing a rounder, balder appearing. head. To theorize presence of a tight, colorless membrane, let's assume it could be for clinical or climatic reasons. Many other conjectures could here be explored.

10. Color of "men's" faces were 1) yellowish, 2) aluminum grey. A blue lighted interior (of the vehicle), as described by you, could accentuate a complementary tone or yellowishness to faces.

11. The following missing details could complete picture: 1) Were hand - sheathed with a membrane that would have minimized finger and finger nail details? 2) What textures in the faces were obvious as masculine or feminine?

Under hypnosis, Betty Hill described a map she was shown "by the leader aboard the ship." Later, she sketched it (above). She said she was told that the heavy lines marked regular trade routes, and the broken lines recorded various space expeditions. Years later, researcher Marjorie Fish was able to find a unique matching set of nearby stars which fit the map

THE ZETA RETICULI INCIDENT

A faint pair of stars, 220 trillion miles away, has been tentatively identified as the "home base" of intelligent extraterrestrials who allegedly visited Earth in 1961. This hypothesis is based on a strange, almost bizarre series of events mixing astronomical research with hypnosis, amnesia, and alien humanoid creatures.

The two stars are known as Zeta 1 and Zeta 2 Reticuli, or together as simply Zeta Reticuli. They are each fifth magnitude stars -- barely visible to the unaided eye -- located in the obscure souther constellation Reticulum. This southerly sky location makes Zeta Reticuli invisible to observers north of Mexico City's latitude.

The weird circumstances that we have dubbed "The Zeta Reticuli Incident" sound like they come straight from the UFO pages in one of those tabloids sold in every supermarket. But this is much more than a retelling of a famous UFO incident; it's an astronomical detective story that at times hovers on that hazy line that separates science from fiction. It all started this way:

The date is Sept. 19, 1961. A middle aged New Hampshire couple, Betty and Barney Hill, are driving home from a short vacation in Canada. It's dark, with the moon and stars illuminating the wooded landscape along U.S. Route 3 in central New Hampshire. The Hills' curiosity is aroused when a bright "star" seems to move in an irregular pattern. They stop the car for a better view. The object moves closer, and its disklike shape becomes evident.

Barney grabs his binoculars from the car seat and steps out. He walks into a field to get a closer look, focuses the binoculars, and sees the object plainly. It has windows -- and behind the windows, looking directly at him are...humanoid creatures! Terrified, Barney stumbles back to the car, throws it into first gear and roars off. But for some reason he turns down a side road where five of the humanoids are standing on the road.

Apparently unable to control their actions, Betty and Barney are easily taken back to the ship by the humanoids. While inside they are physically examined, and one of the humanoids communicates to Betty. After the examination she asks him where they are from. In response he shows her a three-dimensional map with various sized dots and lines on it. "Where are you on the map?" the humanoid asks Betty. She doesn't know, so the subject is dropped.

Betty and Barney are returned unharmed to their car. They are told they will forget the abduction portion of the incident. The ship rises, and then hurtles out of sight. The couple continue their journey home oblivious of the abduction.

But the Hills are troubled by unexplained dreams and anxiety about two hours of their trip that they can't account for. Betty, a social worker, asks advice from a psychiatrist friend. He suggests that the memory of that time will be gradually restored over the next few months -- but it never is. Two years after the incident, the couple are still bothered by the missing two hours, and Barney's ulcers are acting up. A Boston psychiatrist, Benjamin Simon, is recommended, and after several months of weekly hypnosis sessions the bizarre events of that night in 1961 are revealed. A short time later a UFO group leaks a distorted version of the story to the press and the whole thing blows up. Three key phases in the analysis described in this article are illustrated here. Top right diagram is a copy of the map Betty drew, allegedly a duplicate of one she saw inside an extraterrestrial vehicle. On July 20, 2011, the State of New Hampshire erected a historical marker to commemorate the September 19-20, 1961 close encounter of Portsmouth residents Betty and Barney Hill. The marker is located next to the highway in front of Cabin #20 at the Indian Head Resort in North Lincoln and across the street from the granite stone face called Indian Head.

Several years ago, Mike Stevens, a Farmington, NH, man circulated a petition to request a marker to commemorate Betty and Barney Hills’ UFO experience. The final wording approved by the state agency reads as follows:

On the night of September 19-20, 1961, Portsmouth, NH couple Betty and Barney Hill experienced a close encounter with an unidentified flying object and two hours of “lost” time while driving south on Rte 3 near Lincoln. They filed an official Air Force Project Blue Book report of a brightly-lit cigar-shaped craft the next day, but were not public with their story until it was leaked in the Boston Traveler in 1965. This was the first widely-reported UFO abduction report in the United States.

Is There A Connection Between Reptilians and Vampires?

There has been a lot of speculation, especially by British author David Icke, concerning a real connection between non-terrestrial reptilian species and vampire beings. Some feel that this is simply a conspiracy theory or used as an allegory in order to sell books. But both elements, in my opinion, offer some insight into a hypothesis that may help explain some of the mysteries of why we are on Earth.

Draconians and Dracula...is there a connection?

This is where part of the symbolism in the story of Dracula originates. It was written by the Irish author Bram Stoker and published in 1897. Stoker knew the vampire legends after years of research...there is no part of the world and no era of history that does not have its myths and legends about vampires who feed off other people's energy and blood. Observe the main elements of that tale.

His name is Dracula (the Draco constellation is the alleged home of the royal reptilian bloodlines). He is called "Count" Dracula (symbolic of the way these Draco bloodlines have been carried by "human" royalty and aristocracy). Dracula is a vampire (symbolic of the need of the Draco reptilians to drink human blood and feed off human energy). Dracula shape-shifts, appears and disappears (symbolic of the reptilian shape-shifters). He cannot stand direct sunlight (what some say of the reptilians and greys). He comes in through "windows" (symbolic of the interdimensional portals through which reptilian entities enter our world).

Stoker's character was largely based on a man called Dracula or Vlad the Impaler, (in Romanian - Vlad Tepes) the 15th-century ruler of a country called Wallachia, not far from the Black Sea in what is now Romania (Rom = reptilian bloodlines). This was the same region that was once called Transylvania, the home of the most famous vampire legends, and the Danube River valley, which runs from Germany to Romania and into the Black Sea, is a name that comes up very often in the history of the bloodlines.

Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia, slaughtered tens of thousands of people and impaled many of them on stakes. He would sit down to eat amid this forest of dead bodies, dipping his bread in their blood. He usually had a horse attached to each of the victim's legs and a sharpened stake was gradually forced into the body. The end of the stake was usually oiled and care was taken that the stake not be too sharp; he didn't want the victim dying too quickly from shock. Infants were often impaled on the stake forced through their mothers' chests. The records indicate that victims were sometimes impaled so that they hung upside down on the stake. Death by impalement was slow and painful. Victims sometimes endured for hours or days. Dracula had the stakes arranged in various geometric patterns and the most common was a ring of concentric circles. The height of the spear indicated the rank of the victim, an excellent indication of the ritual-obsessed reptilian mind.

The decaying corpses were often left there for months. It was once reported that an invading Turkish army turned back in fright when it encountered thousands of rotting corpses impaled on the banks of the Danube. In 1461 Mohammed II, the conqueror of Constantinople, a man not noted for his squeamishness, was sickened by the sight of twenty thousand impaled corpses rotting outside of Dracula's capital of Tirgoviste. The warrior sultan turned over command of the campaign against Dracula to subordinates and returned to Constantinople. Ten thousand were impaled in the Transylvanian city of Sibiu, where Dracula had once lived. On St. Bartholomew's Day, 1459, Dracula had thirty thousand merchants and others impaled in the Transylvanian city of Brasov. One of the most famous woodcuts of the period shows Dracula feasting amongst a forest of stakes and their grisly burdens outside Brasov while a nearby executioner cuts apart other victims.

Impalement was Dracula's favorite technique, but by no means his only method of inflicting unimaginable horror. The list of tortures employed by this deeply sick man included nails in heads, cutting off limbs, blinding, strangulation, burning, cutting off noses and ears, mutilation of sexual organs (especially in the case of women), scalping, skinning, exposure to the elements or wild animals, and boiling alive. No one was immune to Dracula's attentions. His victims included women and children, peasants and great lords, ambassadors from foreign powers and merchants.

Vlad III was the son of Vlad Dracul, who was initiated into the ancient Order of the Dragon by the Holy Roman emperor in 1431. It's emblem was a dragon, wings extended, hanging on a cross. Vlad II wore this emblem and his coinage bore the dragon symbol. All the members of the order had a dragon on their coat of arms and he was nicknamed Dracul (the Devil or the Dragon). Son Vlad signed his name Draculea or Draculya or the "Devil's son" and this later became Dracula, a name that translates as something like "son of him who had the Order of the Dragon". This is the same Dragon Order that is today promoted by the British "Holy Grail" author, Sir Laurence Gardner. NOTE: There have been several anecdotes referencing reptilian draconian beings in Romania since it joined the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in 2004. There is no date given for the scenario detailed by General Emil Streinu (below) though, I suspect, it occurred post-1989 Romanian Revolution and pre-NATO membership. Again, this not the only reptilian claim to have come out of Romania...Lon

Romanian General Emil Streinu is an expert in radiolocation (radar technology) and has a doctorate in geophysical warfare (HAARP technology). He has served as the Advisor of the Romanian Parliament on unconventional issues and asymmetrical threats - Director of The Special Situations and Research Center on UFOs and Psihotronics - Founder of the Association for the Study of Unidentified Aerospace Phenomena and author of several of esoteric publications.

For many years he has claimed that the reptilian extraterrestrials exist, that they have huge underground bases/cities, but nothing more. Each time he concludes by stating “I’m not going any further on this subject”

After reading Aryan Hava's books "Inuaki, The Reptilian Inside Me" (Vol. 1 & 2), General Streinu contacted her to convey a remarkable story as she was about to publish her third book on this subject: "Anunnaki vs. Anunnaki" (or "An.unnak.ki versus An.unnak.ki"). Streinu eventually writing the book's preface.

In the introduction he speaks about a good friend of his who had seen two reptilian beings in an early morning (5:00 AM) in the Retezat Mountains (A group of mountains in the Carpathians).

His friend is also a military figure, a high ranking officer specialized in commando warfare, which asked for his identity to remain hidden. He served in Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa and Latin America (South America). General Streinu also mentioned that his friend is not a fan of neither science fiction or ufology and that he trusts his friend above any doubt.

This high ranking officer, let's call him "Colonel X", was driving back from a short camping trip, which he took alone in the mountains. He was close to Bucharest when he noticed that he was low on gas...so he pulled into a small rural gas station.

It was 5:00 - 5:10 AM, so nobody was around. Colonel X noticed a khaki Hummer with black windows parked outside the gas station with the engine on, but nobody around it. After filling up his tank, he paid and walked back to his SUV. He then noticed that the driver's door of the Hummer was opened and inside it he saw a reptilian being. The reptilian had no clothes but it was wearing military boots...it was entirely covered with green scales (like a crocodile) and had a lizard-type crest on the head. The reptilian saw Colonel X, then he got out of the Hummer, while still staring at him. He directed some sharp sounds at someone from inside the car, this time looking irritated, then got back at the wheel and quickly drove away. The car had no license plates, either on the front or back.

Colonel X estimated the reptilian to be 2.00m (78.7 inches) high, with yellow eyes and cat type slits.

The Colonel looked around to see if someone else had witnessed the event, but he was alone. Then he noticed the gas station's video camera. Unfortunately, the attendant told him that the camera was "just for decoration" and had no practical use, other than scare any potential robbers. Thinking that this was a very well played hoax, he got back into the car and continued his journey.

After several miles he was still very upset by the events, when he saw the same Hummer with all four doors opened. On the shoulder he noticed two dark green reptilians that seemed to be arguing. The second reptilian was 15-20 cm (5,9 - 7,9 inches) higher than the first one. It wasn't wearing clothes or boots and had lizard-type feet and unlike the first one, it also had a tail.

On the street, trucks were passing by in both directions and the drivers were pointing at the creatures, but nobody pulled over. Then, Colonel X got his mobile phone out and took several photographs of the reptilians who seem oblivious to the situation.

After 3-5 minutes, the two reptilians got back into the Hummer and drove back, at high speed, in the direction they initially came from. The Colonel looked again at the pictures from his mobile phone and rushed for Bucharest in order to contact General Streinu and together decide what to do with the astonishing pictures.

Back in Bucharest, the phone clearly showed 11 pictures, but all of them were completely green. Together with General Streinu, they headed to a phone service company that couldn't help them either. It was like the Colonel photographed a bright green light.

For two weeks they analyzed the story in great detail and searched for witnesses, but all efforts ended up in failure.

General Streinu concluded: "Only one thing is sure: we live in a world that we only THINK we know, having a false impression that we are its masters. In fact we are only subtenants in transit, on a planet that never belonged to us and having no idea what our purpose really is..." - humansarefree.com

MUFON CMS - 4/20/2011 - North Dakota - unedited: These creatures have been seen by the two male residents of the house. The creatures are short, whiter than white, long tail, looked like it had a cat-faced mouth. The creature had real pointed legs, walking on the two back legs. When you try to hit or touch the creatures, you are stunned and cannot move, until the creature has moved past. No noise! We do not know when the thing is coming but this has been going for at least a year. Sometimes varied but much the same. They touch my Dad on his leg, his knee, they seem to jump on the beds or land on the beds, because you can feel the movement. They mess with me but it is like I am knocked out and when I wake up, I cannot remember. And I am not a drinker or druggie, so I cannot imagine what is going on to me.

Now I have a dog, a pitbull, that I thought would scare these things away but they freak my dog out and he is gotten so hyper that I have to get the dog some anti nerve medicine.

Sometimes there is more than one creature in the house. They come to the house on Wednesday afternoons and stay until Thursday night. Sometimes we can hear boxes drug across the floor but when I get up and check, there is nothing. This week I found weeds and grass from the outside bushes by the back door, on the patio deck. There was NO reason for that to be there!

I have two movie cameras, set on night vision, set up and whatever these things are, they manage to avoid getting caught. One night I was sleeping, that was on camera. All of a sudden my feet started moving up and down, and it was not me doing it. But nothing was caught on the camera other than my feet and me sleeping.

MUFON CMS - 4/23/2011 - Iowa - unedited: I have had past UFO sightings, but that is not the reason that I am contacting you. I have had a lifetime of abductions that are leading to something I don't know.

My whole life I have been attracted to this matter. Since a child i would go to the library and sign out books, watch shows, anything related to the topic. Growing up I would have nightmares on a nightly bases about UFO's and aliens abducting me. I wrote it off as a dreams so i could sleep. I am going to be 32 in a couple days, but when i was 22-23-24 years old it started again. After i got married at that time( now divorced) it started to begin to be more of a reality. I started to have physical evidence such as burns, needle holes, bloody noses, bruises etc. I would become paralyzed and couldn't scream or move or do nothing. I woke one time to them around my bed, but for some reason i laid back down and went to sleep. I finally told my wife at the time about what was going on.....and she knew. She had been having nightmares of them coming in and taking me.

I can tell when this is going to happen.....almost a sixth sense to it. I don't want to sleep, I hear a humming outside my house etc etc. My girlfriend now has it happen to her, but will not talk about it. she has seen them take me....and have taken her.

Not sure what to do......just want to know why.

The encounters have continued for almost 10 years and have been experienced by David and his family at both of their residences in the Pensacola, Florida area. The video was produced from 2 full frames and parts of the preceding and latter frames...then looped in slow motion. These beings can move in and out at remarkable speeds. No CGI or reconstruction techniques were used...just splicing of the frames to make this slow motion bit of video.

The Reptilian Files

Not long ago I was contacted by a free-lance writer who was interested in the Reptilian phenomenon. She wanted to know if any of the personal accounts I had written about were similar or completely different than experiences reported in the alien close encounter lore. Frankly, I had never thought about it in those terms so I decided to look over my notes to compare against some of the better known incidents.

After looking over much of the material, my overall impression was that most of the incidents were especially similar in one respect...none of these Reptilian beings had an affinity towards humans. I don't know if it because they can sense that we are repelled by their appearance and mannerisms (and vice-versa) or that they really understand the nature of our species.

I will attempt to summarize the material without creating a drawn out and tedious post:

I suppose the first place to start is the Lacerta Files...a supposed interview with a female Reptilian. The interviewer prefaced the transcript with the following statement:

"I certify that the following text is the absolute truth and no work of fiction. These are parts of a transcript of an interview I've made with a non-human and reptilian being in December 1999. This female being was already in contact with a friend of mine (whose name is given only with the abbreviation E.F. in the text) since some months. Let me declare, that I was all my life a sceptic about UFOs, aliens and other weird things and I thought that E.F. tells me just dreams or fictionous stories when he talked with me about his first contacts with the non-human being "Lacerta". I was still a sceptic when I met this being on December 16 last year (1999) in that small warm room in the remote house of my friend near to a town in the south of Sweden, despite the fact that I saw now with my own eyes that she was not human. She has told and shown me so many unbelievable things during that meeting that I can't deny the reality and the truth of her words any longer. This is not another of that wrong UFO papers which claim to tell the truth but tell in fact just fiction, I'm convinced that this transcript contains the only truth and therefore you should read it.

I had talked with her for over 3 hours, so the following transcript shows you only shortened parts of the interview, because she asked me after the interview not to publish everything she had told me already now. The order of the questions in this transcript is not always the same order in which I had asked them, so it may seem sometimes a little bit confusing to you. It was not easy to delete all the important parts she had asked me to delete from the transcript, so I apologise for the maybe unusual order. I'm in the possession of the entire transcript of the interview (49 pages with some of my drawings of her body and her equipment) and also of some tapes on which I have the full interview, but I will not reveal this before I have permission from her. I will send this shortened form of the still fascinating document to four of my reliable friends to Finland, Norway, Germany and France and I hope they will translate it into their own languages and into other languages and I hope as many people as possible will be able to read and to understand the transcript. If you receive it, please send it to all your friends via e-mail or make print-outs and copy them.

I certify furthermore, that various "paranormal" abilities of her species like telepathy and telekinesis (including the moving and dancing of my pencil on the table without touching and the flying of an apple around 40 centimetres over her hands) were shown to me during the 3 hours and 6 minutes of the meeting and I'm absolutely sure that these abilities were no tricks. The following is certainly difficult to understand and to believe for someone who hasn't experienced it, but I was really in contact with her mind and I'm now completely sure that everything she said during the interview is the absolute truth about our world.

Unfortunately, if I read the entire transcript and (much more) this very shortened form by myself I have the strong impression, that everything I've written sounds too unbelievable to be true, that everything sounds more like a bad science fiction story from TV or cinema and I have doubts that anyone will believe my experiences. But they are true, if you believe it or not. I can't expect from you that you believe my simple words without evidence, but I can't give you that evidence. Please read the transcript and think about it and you will maybe see the truth in this words.

There will be a new meeting between me and her (again in the same house in Sweden) on April 23, 2000 and she promised me to give me maybe some evidence of her existence. In the meantime I collect questions which I will ask her then. Maybe she gives me permission to reveal more of the missing parts in that transcript and about the coming war.

Believe it or not, this makes no real difference (but I hope you will believe)."

Dr. Joe Lewels, who is an independent researcher, wrote a piece for FATE magazine in 1996 titled "The Reptilians: Humanity's Historical Link to the Serpent Race" where he states "Did humans evolve from reptiles? As long as humanity has kept records of its existence, legends of a serpent race have persisted. These myths tell of a mysterious race of superhuman reptilian beings who descended from the heavens to participate in creating humankind and to teach the sciences, impart forbidden knowledge, impose social order, breed with us, and watch over our development."

Other incidents we need to examine are the 1954 Greada Treaty and the 1979 Dulce Firefight. Though much these accounts center around the 'large Greys' there is a direct correlation with the Reptilian species said to inhabit the location.

Phil Schneider, supposedly one of three people who survived the 1979 Dulce firefight between the large Greys, US intelligence and military at the Dulce underground base, was found dead on January 1996, due to what was said to be an execution style murder. He was found dead in his apartment with a piano wire wrapped around his neck. According to some sources, it appeared that he repeatedly suffered torture before he was finally killed. You can read his story here - The Mysterious Life and Death of Philip Schneider. There have been numerous questions surrounding Schneider, in particular his motives and state of mind. Seven months prior to his death, he stated the following during a lecture:

"To give you an overview of basically what I am, I started off and went through engineering school. Half of my schooling was in that field and I built up a reputation for being a geological engineer, as well as a structural engineer with both military and aerospace applications. I have helped build two main bases in the United States that have some significance as far as what is called the New World Order. The first base is the one at Dulce, New Mexico."

"Back in 1954, under the Eisenhower administration, the federal government decided to circumvent the Constitution of the United States and form a treaty with alien entities. It was called the 1954 Greada Treaty, which basically made the agreement that the aliens involved could take a few cows and test their implanting techniques on a few human beings, but that they had to give details about the people involved. An insider's account of the treaty meeting is posted here - President Eisenhower's Close Encounter at Holloman AFB. Slowly, the aliens altered the bargain until they decided they wouldn't abide by it at all. Back in 1979, this was the reality, and the fire-fight at Dulce occurred quite by accident. I was involved in building an addition to the deep underground military base at Dulce, which is probably the deepest base. It goes down seven levels and over 2.5 miles deep. At that particular time, we had drilled four distinct holes in the desert, and we were going to link them together and blow out large sections at a time. My job was to go down the holes and check the rock samples, and recommend the explosive to deal with the particular rock. As I was headed down there, we found ourselves amidst a large cavern that was full of outer-space aliens, otherwise known as large Greys. I shot two of them. At that time, there were 30 people down there. About 40 more came down after this started, and all of them got killed. We had surprised a whole underground base of existing aliens. Later, we found out that they had been living on our planet for a long time, perhaps a million years. This could explain a lot of what is behind the theory of ancient astronauts."

What was the Dulce firefight...really? From information I have gathered, in 1979, a Grey was giving a lecture to an unknown determined number of scientists. During the lecture, a security officer came into the area with a sidearm on his belt. It was strictly forbidden to carry any weapons of any kind anywhere in the vicinity of the Greys. The security officer was instantly killed by the Grey. Other security personnel, witnessing what was happening in that room on the security cameras, came to retaliate. The Grey, according to the information, allegedly killed everybody. The manner in which the Grey killed these people has not been disclosed but was noted that the cause of deaths were 'head wounds'. The approximate number killed was just over 60 scientists and security.

Because of the nature of the sources, I believe the story to be essentially true though most of the information is third hand. It was, for the most part, an unfortunate accident and was classified as such.

Phil Schneider's interpretation of the event involved him which, from what I have gathered, is not true. Schneider stated in the lecture "...I got shot in the chest with one of their weapons, which was a box on their body, that blew a hole in me and gave me a nasty dose of cobalt radiation. I have had cancer because of that." He tells a very good 'story', but embellishes the facts as is the case in many of his recollections. I'm not saying that he is completely without fact, but it's hard to discern the truth when so much hyperbole is added.

What is the status of Dulce Base today? Your guess is as good as mine but strange activity has been seen and documented over the years. I covered some of the theories here - Dulce Conference Ends / The Dulce Report which includes the full 'UFO Hunters' Dulce investigation episode.

Here is another anecdote associated with the Dulce Underground. It was sent to me from a reader who witnessed strange hybrid creatures in the facility, including those that resembled Reptilians.

We have also become aware of a more insidious side to research and technology as related to the infamous "Camp Hero." Michelle A. Guerin wrote a piece titled "Reptilians at Montauk" where she details a frightening encounter with one of these creatures and what was discovered through an exhaustive investigation.

Astronaut Clark C. McClelland, former ScO, Space Shuttle Fleet as also disclosed interesting information over the years...especially where he details a conversation with Dr. Wernher von Braun:

On many occasions I had the distinct privilege of speaking with Dr. Wernher von Braun, the leader of the elite group, and several other scientists who were assigned to the ABMA (Army Ballistics Missile Agency) launch crews at the Cape Canaveral launch sites. Eventually, these same men were incorporated into the new National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) organization. During the periodic MFA (Manned Flight Awareness) meetings that were held at Cocoa Beach, I was able to talk freely and briefly with such scientists, particularly Dr. von Braun.

On one such occasion, he and I had taken a break and stepped out of the Cocoa Beach Ramada Inn into the back patio. I admitted that I was aware that he and his German Scientific team were located not too far from the crash site at that time. They were launching captured V-2 rockets from the White Sands Testing Range. On this night, I asked him a question concerning the Roswell Incident that caused his eyebrows to raise.

Did the Roswell Incident in fact happen, was an alien craft recovered along with alien bodies? Did you have a chance to go to the crash site?"

Dr von Braun was a cigarette smoker and he lit one up. He thought for a second, then proceeded to talk freely about his inspection of the crashed craft.

He trusted me to hear such astonishing events because I vowed to not report it to newspapers, magazines, television, etc. I never broke that vow. Since he is deceased, and the incident happened over fifty years ago, I am now disclosing what I heard. I have a right to speak about anything - even things that, according to certain agencies, "do not exist."

Dr. von Braun explained how he and his (unnamed, for now) associates had been taken to the crash site after most of the military were pulled back. They did a quick analysis of what they found. He told me the craft did not appear to be made of metal as we know metal on earth. He said it seemed to be created from something biological, like skin. I was lost as to what he indicated, other than thinking perhaps the craft was "alive."

The recovered bodies were temporarily being kept in a nearby medical tent. They were small, very frail and had large heads. Their eyes were large. Their skin was greyish and reptilian in texture. Dr. von Braun said it looked similar to the skin texture of rattle snakes he'd seen several times at White Sands. His inspection of the debris had even him puzzled: very thin, aluminium coloured, like silvery chewing gum wrappers. Very light and extremely strong. The interior of the craft was nearly bare of equipment, as if the creatures and craft were part of a single unit.

I received an email following a conversation with abductee Bonnie Jean Hamilton. She described an encounter that occurred on a beach along the Atlantic Coast of the United States late at night on April 25, 1993:

"....Though their general appearance was humanoid and they walked on two legs, they were clearly not human; their skin was mostly green and they moved with a sharp, keen alertness more akin to the movement of nervous iguanas. I was not frightened at all, just curious, so I kept walking toward them. When we were about ten yards from each other, the group stopped and I stopped as well.

I could see that they were all male and apparently soldiers of some sort. We stared at each other. I could clearly discern their reptilian appearance, their reluctance to approach me, the hesitation, and the nervousness. It felt dangerous....."

Another interesting encounter was submitted to MUFON from a witness in Great Britain:

"....I could barely see the outline of a head, a big long head next to my own face. As the spasm-like feeling started to wear off, a tiny bit at a time, I could work out that this thing on top of me looked like a lizard/newt thing. It was like a blending together of all that was around it, or maybe invisible. I'm not very sure which, but I could see it clearly as the seconds passed on.

It was reptilian. I growled at it, or I think I did. My mind and my body gave all it could to do so. I bared my teeth at it and I could feel it could read my mind. I was swearing at it and shouting all sorts of obscenities at it. I felt violated and used.

The next thing, it was quickly off of me and was standing to one side of the bottom of my bunk bed. A light came through the thin gap in the curtains. There were different shades of a golden light which also had very small particles inside it, like dust or small stars which moved around like little bright lights.

This reptilian creature was about 6 feet tall. I could sense it was either proud or happy with itself, maybe both. I tried to sit up as best I could and through my mind I swore at it again.

The creature walked forward and stepped into the light beam. As it did, the feet and legs vanished into the light. The more the creature moved forward towards the window, the more of it vanished...."

David Eckhart and his family had experienced home invasions and abductions (which continue to this day) for over 10 years. Several alien species were involved but most of the activity was centered around Reptilians. While investigating the Eckhart case, I also came in contact with other Reptilian experiencers. David Eckhart referred me to 'Matt', an 'experiencer' who wanted to reveal his encounter experiences:

"....there have been a series of reptilian sightings on the west coast of Florida. The 2 locations are Punta Gorda and North Port, Florida. I traveled to one of these hotspots a few months ago and had a close encounter with a large winged reptilian...."

"....I had spent all night pacing along the treeline, in the dark, and was quite upset by that time at the reptilian's hesitancy to approach. They had no reason not to approach me--i was clearly armed with no weapons , cameras , or lights. Shortly after I entered the back porch, one of the reptilians let out a LOUD sigh, that trailed off into an alligator type growl. Clearly, it thought I was done for the night, and had gone all the way back inside the house. I ran back outside, and proceeded to criticize further about its inability to approach me. The sounds it made were IDENTICAL to the growls heard on the Eckhart tapes (especially the deeper guttural tones)...."

The following is an update I received from "Matt" a few weeks later. In this update he goes into specific details on abductions by the Reptilians as well as the activities he was forced to get involved in.

The 'The Underground' Reptilian Encounter - Carthage, Missouri - Pat Garrett, one of the witnesses, recounted his Reptilian experience when interviewed by Mary Sutherland, BUFO Paranormal and UFO Radio. Other Reptilian encounters were reported at "Strange Lights and Draconians" and "Comments / Reports: Reptilians and Other Phenomena."

MIB = REPTILIANS

Location: Sao Paulo, Brazil - February 1980 - night

The witness who for the past two to three months had been followed by three strange men wearing black suits, was standing in front of his house one night when a car drove up and the door opened. The witness apparently lost his will and was compelled to enter the vehicle; inside the same three men he had been trying to hide from met him.

They drove around for a while until they reached a wooded area outside the city. They stopped the car near a large hovering object that was encircled by a luminous ring. The witness and the three men then walked underneath the object and were hit by a beam of light. He suddenly found himself inside the object, sitting on a chair. Suddenly handles appeared on the chair that secured his wrists and an iron bar pressed his forehead backwards while another gadget held his neck. The three men then appeared and suddenly seemed to shed their skin or bodies and transformed themselves into green scaly reptilian like creatures with heart shaped heads. The beings interrogated the witness and spoke of upcoming global events. At one point a door in the room was opened and he was able to see human corpses hanging by their feet from hooks on the walls. Everything went blank after that and his next conscious memory was of standing next to a theater near his home.

E.T. ATTACKED GRANDMA

Location: Brigantine, New Jersey - February 24 1997 - 1:00am

A 50-year old grandmother was sleeping with her grandchildren in a room and had left several lights on to comfort them. She awoke suddenly and noticed that the lights were turned off. Her eyes slowly accustomed to the dark and she felt a presence in the room. She then saw two short figures standing near her bed. She attempted to contact them, by using telepathy, pleading to go with them if they left the children alone. The beings did not answer her plea. She was then startled as one of the beings moved aggressively and grabbed her. She jumped up and punched the being on the face, his skin felt like hard plastic, she struggled further grabbing the figure by the throat, the neck appeared horribly wrinkled. The being was about 5-feet tall and thin. She then bit the being; she said it felt like biting a cold piece of ham. After a few minutes of struggling the being dropped to the floor. At this time a third figure appeared in the room, then the two standing aliens moved towards her. One brushed against her face and grabbed her wrist; this one seemed stronger than the first. She then suddenly passed out. Upon regaining consciousness the figures were gone. The children had been apparently unharmed. She suffered from a severe headache afterwards and found three puncture wounds on her neck.

MICHIGAN GOATMAN

Location: Between Battle Creek & Bellevue, Michigan - February 2006 - night

A woman driving alone on a road between both towns had to slow down for a stop sign. Suddenly a creature of very large size jumped up over a snow bank and ran “10 yards a second”. It was coming towards the car. She further described the creature as “enormous and its body as white as the snow around it”. It had tiny little legs, like animal goat legs but very small. She had the impression that parts of it were like a man and other parts of it were an animal. According to her it either grabbed, or reached for the door handle but he car was locked. She said its fingers were incredibly long, “long, long fingers and nails”. It was so incredibly fast that she did not see a face or anything else. She mentioned that another car of people had also seen it too; they had stopped and looking at it at one point.

SOUTH AFRICA CLOSE ENCOUNTERS

Location: Durban, South Africa - 1969 - night

Jack van Der Merwe was working the night shift in the harbor when suddenly he heard a voice in his head telling him to relax and go somewhere quiet where he could be alone. He went into the shed where bales of wool were stacked. He stood there listening to the dock noises when suddenly he found himself in a strange place as if standing in water, almost as in he was under water. It was very misty and there were people around him. These were described as dark and wearing white flowing garments. They seemed very beautiful. A voice spoke to him, in his head, which gave him all sorts of advice and warnings that he does not recall. He felt relaxed and calm. The next thing he knew he was hearing the dock noises again and went back to his office, there he realized he had been gone for two hours.

Below is another incident from Durbin, South Africa that occurred a few days after the incident above:

The witness was sitting up in bed as she was having difficulty in falling asleep. She suddenly noticed that the wardrobe seemed to be fading into the wall. A long dark tunnel now appeared, shaped like a cone. There was a small light at the end that appeared to be getting larger. A tall man suddenly stepped out of the tunnel. He was wearing a greenish jacket and pants and knee high black boots; he also wore a thick black belt. He had huge eyes and close cropped brown hair, his ears were pointy, and his mouth was a straight line. The witness felt a mental command telling her to come, next thing she knew she was being dragged down a bright tunnel. She ended up in a bright room with a high narrow table with white sheets. The room was cold and had a strange smell. She then blacked out and does not know what happened next.

THE SPEEDY BUM AND THE SILVER FLYER

Location: Near Point Pleasant, WV - Fall 1967 - afternoon

So one chilly day in the Fall of 1967 the parents decided to go to a private event in Point Pleasant. We were southbound on the highway by the Ohio River on the W.Va. side. It was a long ride and my butt was starting to go numb, so I shifted around and then caught sight of something from the corner of my eye. On the side of the road, in a thin stretch of woods between the highway and the river was this bum...or I thought he was a bum. He was wearing a brown flannel shirt and grubby, baggy brown pants and a brown hunting hat with ear flaps down. He was running alongside our car! I checked the speedometer, we were moving at 35 mph! I kept looking at him and he kept running alongside the car, then he turned and looked at me. It looked like he was wearing old-style welding goggles or old-style motorcycle goggles. They were brown-framed circles with bright red lenses.

He kept up with us for several hundred yards until a wide bend in the road moved us apart and I lost sight of him. About two seconds later my brothers started yelling about " The man-he's flying! Look! That guy is flying!" It wasn't the same guy. This one was in a silver suit with wings. He held his arms up by his chest, I don't know how he was controlling his flight. He shot straight up out of the woods, then leveled out and headed towards the east. He had red eyes, but not like the running guy's. The flying guy's eyes were glowing very brightly. He flew behind a hill and that's all we saw of him.
