Flying Cryptid Sightings: Weird Bat-Like Creatures / Large Bioluminescent Birds

I received the following inquiry from my friend Sunny Williams at Lights in the Texas Sky:

Hi Lon,

I thought I'd run this by you. I received an email from someone who had (years ago) witnessed a UFO and had possibly been abducted, along with a friend. They were children at the time and the UFO sighting was in a different state.

Lon, I can't make heads or tails of the little winged creature that ran across the road but the big ones remind me of some "Mothman" sightings. What do you think and have these things been seen in the Northwest?

This is the email Sunny forwarded to me (some spelling changes):

Subject: weird, huge, grey, furless, batwinged creature

We live in the pacific northwest (near Tacoma, WA) on many acres of mostly tree covered land with a creek. We have seen and heard a strange nocturnal, batlike creature. This thing is huge, light grey, skin with no fur, feathers or scales. It silently swoops down at you with giant bat wings. It makes a sound like a jungle monkey or bird, thus we refer to it as the monkey bird. We keep our chickens and goats, small dogs and cats safely housed at night, however two of our cats who sneaked out one night onto the roof disappeared without a trace of fur, blood or any evidence of what exactly happened. They wouldn't run away, and our outdoor watch dogs don't allow any coyotes or ground traveling predators anywhere near us. There were two of them together and they seemed fearless of me when they swooped down at me more than once and returned way up to the top of the highest trees. I couldn't get a look at the faces or eyes, mainly the huge grey batwings approximately 4' span are what I could see. They seem to show up every summer always after dusk anytime through the night. Locals don't seem to know about them. I might ask the local native American Indian tribes to see if they know anything about these creatures. Do you know of anyone else who might know what these things are? My brother and I saw another weird batlike creature two summers ago that was also quite bizarre yet not like these huge ones. We were riding our bikes at dusk and this black guinea pig sized thing with bat wings with holes all through the wings ran across the dirt road in front of us and under a bush. We don't know anyone who has seen anything like that either, but we DID see it. We see regular little, common bats all of the time after dusk so we know what they are like. We know owls, hawks, eagles and all of the normal flying creatures around here and these others are definitely out of the ordinary.

I offered an unlikely example (Eurasian Eagle Owls) as to what these creatures may be. I don't know of any bat species of that size that live outside of the tropics. Vampire bats, Great Bulldog bats and Flying Foxes can reach that size but I don't think that they could adapt to the climate of the Tacoma, Washington region where the climate is mild during summer when temperatures tend to be in the 60's and cold during winter when temperatures tend to be in the 40's...but some mammals can adapt to climate change.

Sunny received this follow up which she forwarded to me:

Thank you for checking with your colleague. Are the owl wings shaped like bat wings? Do they cling to the sides of the trees? Do they make a sound like "Hooooowhahhhhhh, aaahooooowahhhh! with the wah like the rolling of your tongue? Also the skin on the chest and wings was grey, mottled with some brownish color like a Mexican hairless dogs skin, and it had like visible blood veins kind of like protruding on the skin area. Where can we find a picture of the Asian eagle owl and find out what it sounds like? These might be moulting or sick or something. We would love to solve the mystery, and know more about them. Please let us know if you find anymore info. Thank you again.

Thanks again for your help and research. It is truly appreciated. We are near Tacoma in a large forested area with a huge creek running all through it. We looked through and listened to all of the owl/eagle info and enjoyed it very much. I can say with certainty that these things were definitely not owls, eagles, vultures or anything like them. I guess no one would believe us unless they saw them and heard them. These are real. They have huge bat wings with the claw type thing on the top of the wing that helps them clutch the tree. It is true that they don't seem to flap like a regular bat would. They quietly swoop and glide. They sound like those jungle monkeys and you can see skin, no feathers, scales etc. I'm sure these have got to be categorized as unknown. Maybe someone has been doing some weird genetic experiments with wildlife and releasing them to see what the survival rate will be. Maybe an environmental mutation. We will try to ask others who spend time after dusk in the forests, (if we can find anyone like that these days) weather or not they have seen or heard anything like this. We will let you know right away if we learn anymore about this. Have a wonderful, safe 4th of July. Such a pleasure to communicate with you.

Man blames car wreck on prehistoric winged reptile

A 29-year-old Wenatchee man told police a pterodactyl caused him to drive his car into a light pole about 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

Wenatchee police cited the man with first-degree negligent driving. A breathalyzer test showed "a minimal amount of alcohol," said Wenatchee police Sgt. Cherie Smith.

Witnesses told police the man was northbound on Wenatchee Avenue and drifted into a southbound lane for less than a block. Oncoming traffic stopped and waited for the man to pass, Smith said.

He then totaled his car on a light pole, Smith said.

When police asked the man what caused the accident, his one-word answer was "pterodactyl," Smith said. A pterodactyl was a giant winged reptile that lived more than 65 million years ago.

The man was treated and released at Central Washington Hospital, hospital officials said. - hearaldnet

Two Eyewitness Accounts - Pterosaurs in State of Washington

The eyewitness described a pair of long-tailed “ropens” in Southwest Washington state, in a rural area that he desires to keep secret. Here is part of the testimony:

"I was riding my bike home from a friends house around 5 pm . . . I heard a strange noise . . . looked to my left, and on a wood plank fence were two of the biggest bird like creatures I could ever imagine! . . . the first thing I noticed was their heads . . . could they be dinosours? . . . They were Huge! There ft wrapped around a 2″x6″ plank . . . they’re heads I would have to say it was maybe 4ft long with the beak."

What follows is a secondary sighting of the same two flying creatures, in the same general area, by the same eyewitness, some time later:

"When they took flight they both still kept an eye back onto me. They only flew far enough to where I wouldn’t see them. They have slow head movements, as if they were rotating there heads with the heads in the downwards position." - www.modernpterosaur.com

Large Bioluminescent Birds

Also...I received the following email from a witness in northern Louisiana:

Hello - We live in a very rural area about a mile or less from a large lake. My husband and I have seen something we cannot classify into any known bird. We have only seen them at night and only during the warmer season months. There is an interstate being built to run through here and we saw the largest groups of them around the time most of the clear cutting was going on. They are scary big. It was large enough to raise the hairs on the back of my neck and make me hesitant on letting our animals out after dark. It was definitely larger than any bird I had ever seen. They are very dark in color, possibly black. It's difficult for me to give a detailed description of it, but my husband, who got a better look at the bird says it has a large beak, huge wingspan, and long tail.

What sets it apart from anything I have ever seen was that it had a lightning-bug type glow to it. The lighting trait of it was an irregular pulsating lighting that ran the entire length of its body in no type of pattern. It seemed to just hover wings unmoving (much like a kite does), but when it moves it is very fast. My first thought was that it was it had to be some type of military aircraft we have yet to learn about, but the more I have seen it the more animal like qualities I have noticed. Some reasons for that are the pattern of flight isn't repetitious, hovering without making a sound, and it seems to move as if it is on the currents of the wind. My husband has heard a bird-like squawking that drew his attention to them the first time he saw one, but I have not.

I was very skeptical at first, and was sure he had lost his mind. Being a military brat I was sure that it was just something new...like having the Harriers before we were ready to come out about them. It took me seeing whatever it is several times to believe what I saw wasn't something mechanical. I got on the internet and learned that similar descriptions (some spot on and some not even close) have been reported. I'm still not sure what it may be, and am shy to say anything about it to others. It sounds crazy to me. My husband and I are not the only ones to have seen it.

A friend of ours, a disbeliever, came out to see for himself. And, the father of a friend, when we mentioned we had seen something weird; said he never told anyone cause he was afraid that he'd be considered crazy. He told us that he was out on the lake by our place, in his boat at night, and had seen what he thought we had described to him. I am interested for someone more educated in birds and animals to come out and see if they can sight this thing, and find out if they could debunk or explain it. I don't know if it is a plane, maybe a glider of some sort, or an animal, but something is there. It may be able to be explained...maybe not.

The following information was found at Bioluminescent Pterosaurs in America

Glowing “pterodactyls?” In North America? Non-extinct? What could be more strange? Before dismissing the idea, consider some eyewitness sightings in North America, in light of reports of glowing pterosaurs in the southwest Pacific. But notwithstanding reports appear to be more numerous from some remote tropical islands, there are now enough sightings in North America to justify comparing them to sightings of featherless, apparently-bioluminescent flying creatures in the southwest Pacific.

Caribbean Sighting of Two Glowing Pterosaurs

A recent example is from a lady who was on a cruise in the Caribbean, with family members. Her daughter brought her onto the deck one night, anxious for her to see what was flying over the sea. The mother, who had not been drinking, saw two apparent pterosaurs, glowing and flying back and forth, sometimes closer to the ship.

Peter Beach’s Sightings in Washington State

According to the second edition of Live Pterosaurs in America, night sightings in the state of Washington included one by the college biology professor Peter Beach (2007).

“I went on a short trip to the Yakima River . . . because there was a [sighting]. We were unable to get a picture but we saw many . . . flashing lights. I would have assumed that [they] were fireflies but we [don’t] have them in Washington. . . . Many flashes were parallel to the river. The river at that point [has] a crook . . . and there were many fish . . . Prime hunting grounds for fish-eating birds. Only these things fish at night with bioluminescence. At first I thought I was just seeing shooting stars, but they were all parallel to the river and close to the horizon.”

The next year (summer of 2008), Professor Beach participated in another expedition at the Yakima River.

“During the short expedition I led with the O’Donnells, mid-July, we saw three hours of bioluminescent ‘shooting stars.’ The last hour was the most interesting in that there were two light blasts about 200 ft. apart, about 50-100 ft., above the river. The blasts were followed by screeches from about a dozen or so agitated nighthawks in the general area.”

During the second expedition, Professor Beach had a rather close encounter with a flying creature that he suspected was one of the ones that had been displaying the bioluminescence (although it was not glowing when it flew just over the professor’s head).

“The shape of the flying animal I saw was 3-4 ft. wingspan, 2-3 ft. long, with a bat-like wing. The neck/head was obvious but only in silhouette, and I could not make out a tail or feet. If the tail is thin, I probably was not close enough to see it even if it was there. The wing beat rate caused me to arrive at the size and altitude. The wing [beat] was similar to a Canadian Goose; a seagull beats its wings faster, a Nighthawk (wingspan 18 in.) faster still.”

San Fernando Valley, California, Sighting

“It was late in the evening almost dark . . . I was walking from my car to my house [in Sun Valley] and something in the sky caught my eye. My girlfriend also looked up and right away said is that a bat . . . What caught my eye was the bright radiation like light coming from the belly of this Pterodactyl looking animal. I seen it fly right above us maybe 150 -200 feet and this thing wasn’t no bat it was bigger with large wing span and when it flapped its wings it was kind of a slow lazy flap kind of gliding . . .”

Big Cat Sightings, Hysteria Near New Orleans

Folsom resident Randy Davis was sitting at home in his equipment room late Saturday night when on his surveillance monitor he noticed a large cat walk across his asphalt driveway. On closer inspection, Davis thinks the image is that of a black panther. Video at bottom of post.

With residents reporting near daily sightings, you'd think we were under attack.

Truth is, the myth of the black panther in Louisiana - and throughout the United States - has a long phantom existence, according to physiologists and biologists.

Maria Davidson, the large carnivore program manager for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, calmly explained that the only black panthers in existence are black jaguars found in South America and black leopards that live in Asia and Africa.

The North American black panther generally falls under the term "cryptid," a creature whose existence has been suggested but is not recognized by the scientific community and has been deemed highly unlikely. Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster fall under that category.

They also have been called "phantom cats," "alien big cats" (ABCs), and in certain circles, the sightings have been dubbed "panther paranoia."

And while some people, including local law enforcement officials, discuss the possibility of a black cougar in our midst, Davidson assuredly said black cougars do not exist at all. They come only in tawny and fawn colors, ranging from light gray-brown to a brownish orange.

In fact, she said, Louisiana does not have a breeding population of cougars - in any color - and that the last cougar found in the state was in 2009 and that animal was genetically linked to a population in New Mexico.

Last weekend, two panther sightings were reported, one in St. Tammany Parish and one in Plaquemines Parish. A few days earlier, a man in St. Bernard Parish said he and his wife saw one sitting a block from their garage, staring at them calmly, before darting into nearby woods.

Several other reports of sightings have streamed into Davidson's office and to the news media.

The recent fervor began several weeks ago, when a woman purportedly spotted a panther in a tree behind her house. Plaquemines Parish sheriff's officials went out with Davidson to investigate.

Davidson said she later confirmed that the footprints belonged to a dog.

Recently a photo began circulating on Facebook, and soon made its rounds on local television news channels, that a Plaquemines woman said she took on Sunday. Davidson said the photo certainly is of a house cat, likely measuring about 3 feet from nose to back of tail.

Other supposed black panther photos have come to her attention in the past few weeks, and she said all were much too blurry to decipher.

Plaquemines sheriff's Sgt. Robert Cullum went to the original black panther sighting in Phoenix on Plaquemines' east bank and has searched each day with hunter dogs, trained to track deer. He said he saw a 6-foot-long black cat.

A week or so after the original sighting, residents reported that the cat had moved south to the riverside community of Davant, and now Cullum predicted it is in the Bohemian area, farther south along the parish's east bank.

A Plaquemines sheriff helicopter still regularly circles the area.

Also chiming in, Lake Borne Levee District Police and levee contractors in the Violet area have reported panthers in the area.

And last Thursday, a couple in Violet called the St. Bernard Sheriff's Office and reported a panther near their home. St. Bernard sheriff's officials, especially after news broke about it on Monday, searched the woods there for the past two days to no avail.

Meanwhile, a Folsom couple recently reported to television media that their home surveillance cameras caught a panther on film Saturday. They have not reported it to government officials, and Davidson said on Tuesday that she yet heard of it.

Donna Davis said she now won't let her eight grandchildren out of the house at night.

"There is no refuting from this video what he is. It is very obvious, very clear," she said. "From head to tip to tail it's almost 6 feet, 7 feet and he has a girth to him like you can't believe. It's a massive, massive cat."

She and her husband Randy Davis have horses on their 20-acre property but say none has been injured. She said they have now added better lighting and are using live chickens to bait the panther in hopes of getting a better shot on film.

Erin C. Dupuis, a clinical psychologist at Loyola University, said one explanation for the recent flood of panther reports is the "availability heuristic."

The recent barrage of media reports about panther sightings scare people, thus making a significant impression on their psyche. In turn, they begin thinking about panthers more and they begin to have the impression that more black panthers exist than actually do, she explained.

"Now, when I go to my backyard I am primed to think that what I see is a black panther, even though it might just be a big cat or dog that is blurry in the side of my vision," said Dupuis, who studies how people think about their social environment.

Another explanation Dupuis posed is the "confirmation bias," which states when people think something exists, they seek out information that confirms those beliefs.

Davidson said when a pet goes missing, people often will jump to the conclusion that it was a panther, or a cougar, instead of the neighborhood dog, a coyote or an even simpler explanation: that the cat simply ran away.

"It's a phenomenon that we talk about quite often actually, just among the professionals who deal with it," Davidson said.

And after the state Wildlife and Fisheries Department debunks stories about roaming black panthers, explaining that they do not exist in the area, Davidson said people often try to find another explanation, and resort to stories about how wild, exotic pets must have sprung loose from their owners.

According to urban myth, in St. Bernard's Poydras area before Hurricane Katrina, a man owned two panthers -- one brown and one black. When the deluge came, he let the beasts loose and for the past five years they've been out in the marshes.

St. Bernard officials say no records were kept from before the storm and most of the pre-storm staff in the local animal control department have since left town, making research into the story difficult.

But, any owners of the world's six big cats -- tigers, lions, jaguars, leopards, cheetahs and cougars -- must receive a permit from Wildlife and Fisheries, and Davidson said none has been issued.

Follow Up: Cryptid Carcass - Near Boutte / Paradis, Louisiana

In November 2010, 'Charles' posted an incident he had experienced on March 2, 2007. Today, he offers further information as well as a video:

MUFON CMS - near Boutte and Paradis, LA - 3/2/2007 - unedited: The night of this occurrence I was on my way back from Houma, Louisiana. I was working as a courier and I was transporting film from a theatre in Houma back to the New Orleans airport close to where I live in Kenner, Louisiana.

Attached is a digital photo of a red mustang that I saw and took a picture of by the accident scene I witnessed on 3-2-2007 around 2:15 a.m. near Boutte and Paradis, Louisiana. I passed this accident scene and I was so amazed by it I turned around and made a U turn so I could take some pictures of it. I then noticed that other cars passing this accident scene were going very fast as if they did not see anything occurring. For some reason all of the passing cars were traveling in the left lane. This prevented them from hitting the police car and going over the animal but they were not slowing down.

When I pulled up to the accident scene for the second time I saw two police cars on the scene. One police car was in front of the animal that was laying across the right lane of the road. I noticed the windows of this police car were BLACK and I could not see anything inside of the car. The other police car was behind the red car that was just a few feet down the road but they were in the emergency lane. I could see the back of a policeman and the front of a man standing next to the red car. The man that apparently was the driver of the car was moving his hands in the air as if to be in a deep conversation with the police officer. This man was about 6 feet tall with dark hair and he was dressed nicely. I noticed he did not have a scratch on his face yet his vehicle was badly damaged.

I came very close to getting out of my car and speaking with these two people but I did not. I have pictures but police have NO record of this accident taking place! I spoke with a very nice police officer in the early morning hours of 3-5-2007 about this occurrence and his name is "Clint." Clint works for the St. Charles Parish Police Department. He informed me that on the night of 3-2-2007 he patroled highway 90 not far from the 310 entrance and this is exactly where the occurrence happened. He was also on duty at the exact time of the occurrence. Clint stated that he did not see anything like this occur and there is no report of it. In fact NO police departments have any reports of a huge animal being hit on the road in this area but I have the picture of this strange looking LARGE animal below! I believe the police officer was being honest but this adds even more mystery to this event. It appears to be a mixture of many different animals. It has a long tail and it's head appeared to me as a beautiful golden head of a Camel on the night of the occurrence. A few months ago a friend of mine went with me to the Audubon Zoo here in New Orleans and we showed the image of this animal to a zoologist. He said he would be the one to speak with about this strange animal that we wanted to show him the digital image of. He looked it over carefully and was amazed at what he saw. He said he had never seen an animal like this and could not figure out what type it could be. Crytozoologists cannot make out what type it is either. It appears to be made up of many different animals. The average person might call it a cow, horse, etc but close observation shows it is not any one animal type. I have the original sd card saved of the pictures I captured that night. I did this to prove that my images have not been edited or manipulated. The only thing done to any image below is the car was lightened because the image was to dark to see prior to lightening it.

If you look close at the road that the animal is lying on you can see a circular pattern on it as if something landed there. One of the zoomed in images of the 3 UFO's in they sky above the occurrence shows intense colors and energy about it. Notice the mustang car has an alien figure that appears on the side of it with what looks like a hand holding some type of phone. The back part of the car appears ghostly was if it vanishes. Oddly the men on the scene of this accident do not appear in any of the pictures. The strange animal was huge and covered the whole right side of the lane. After I arrived back home I called all of the police departments in the area of occurrence including the state police and no one had any record of this incident occurring. I spoke with the St. Charles Police Department where the incident occurred and they stated that any time an animal is hit in there area everyone knows about it. They had not record of it and the cars passed the accident scene very fast as if they did not see anything.

Approximately 8 hours later I drove back to the area of this occurrence with my dad and NOTHING was there! There was NO blood on the pavement, no animal, no car, nothing! I know exactly where this occurred because this is the only route I take coming back from Houma to Kenner. It is right by where I get on 310 that takes me back to the Kenner area. Highway 90 is the only way to and from where I live to Houma, La. Highway 90 near Boutte, La is where this incident occurred.

During this event I noticed a stillness like no other and it was as if the universe was standing still for a few moments. A very enlightening and moving experience! I have my own beliefs in regards to what I witnessed since I have always had a very strong faith in God. After this incident I have been able to share a lot of information to many people in regards to aliens and there purpose for visiting us here on earth. (1.7 Million on Myspace) The book of ezekiel has many passages that express words that would make us think of modern day UFO's. I do know that I did my research and what I witnessed that night was not from earth. The image of this strange animal is unlike anything here on earth. In fact when I arrived back home I zoomed in on the image of this animal and at the head appears a very evil looking image of something. I have this image below also. I do have the original images saved on the original SD card from the digital camera I used that night to take the pictures. Of course now I wish I would have tried to make contact with the men on the scene but at the time I did not know how signifacant this event would turn out to be.

I have had some other incidents where I witnessed UFO's etc, but not quite like the night of 3-2-2007. There was an incident this same year (2007) near Kentwood, La that I witnessed. It involved 2 18 wheeler trucks and one was on fire. After I passed the 18 wheeler that was in flames a triangular shaped UFO hovered over the woods very close to my car. I did not have time to take a picture but viewing it gave me a wonderful feeling. I felt as if the aliens in the craft had great knowledge and held the answers to many unexplained questions we seek. The UFO took off in the direction of the 18 wheeler on fire. I made the next exit (about 3 miles or so) to head back in the direction of the UFO. When traveling back I heard fire trucks but then nothing was found in the area of occurrence. I do have a picture of one of the trucks laying across the interstate. I plan to go back the the area of Boutte, Paradis, la more often and I hope I can capture something significant to share with many people. I have looked over these images many times and there are even some words that appear at the bottom of the image of the car but I cannot make them out. I shared these images with numerous priests and pastor's and they believe I was blessed with the gift of Visions. (Joel 2:28) I have a a very STRONG faith in God over MANY years! I will keep my faith! Charles

UPDATE 1/24/2011: This is an addition to an earlier report that I posted in regards to what I witnessed back on March 2, 2007 on highway 90 near Boutte, La. Please search the data base here under the date March 2, 2007 for more information about this case. (Louisiana)

Tonight I watched the movie Phoenix lights and I discovered something that shocked me. I noticed that the large ufo's that were witnessed there by thousands of people have the same shape as the ufo(s) in the sky above the animal I captured the picture of in 2007. It is a large V shape and it looks exactly like what they describe and show in the movie. It gives me the chills when I think about it! This makes me believe that what I thought was 3 ufo's in the sky over the animal could be one large ufo like the ones over phoenix years ago. That means these particular aliens could be the same ones that flew over Phoenix and areas of Arizona years ago.

I have studied the image of the car and animal many hours going back to 2007. I will add some more information that I have noticed by studying the images and include it in this post.

The huge animal on the road that appears to be made up of numerous types of animals is bloated. Bloating usually occurs many days AFTER an animal is dead. Highway 90 where I captured this image is a major road with traffic so there is no way possible that this animal could have sat there for days! It had to have been dropped or set there by these ufo(s). Note the animal, glass, large pool of blood from animal, car, etc had all vanished when I went back to this area about 8 hours later! There is NO way that the blood from the animal could have been cleaned up to show no stains on the highway 8 hours after the accident.

Also note that several faces appear on the animals body. When I witnessed this event it felt like time stood still and there was a quiet like I have never experienced before! There is also a circular pattern near the animal that looks like something like a ufo might have landed on the highway. It also looks like part of the animal might have been surgically opened on parts of it's body by someone or something.

The other image I captured that night is of a mustang car. It appears to be the vehicle that struck the animal. But like many people say the damage to it would be much greater if it actually struck this animal. There were two men on the scene that night but the police have no record of this occurring. I spoke with all police departments in that area including state police. I actually spoke with an officer that was patrolling the exact highway and time of occurrence and he saw nothing. I believe they are all telling the truth. Was the image of the police officer, the other well dressed man, and the car created to make it look like a car accident? Could this be because the animal was accidentally dropped from the alien craft? I really do not know but I do have my own beliefs about the representation of this event.

The car from that night has an image of what looks like an alien on the side drivers door. I have a zoomed in image saved of this. I have studied this image and it is obvious that the alien is holding something in it's hand. It is blurry and hard to tell what it is. To me it looks like someone with blue clothes on and a blue cone shaped hat on their head. This person seems to be hugging a little girl. Are they trying to send us a message with this image? But why? What does it mean?

I am certain that this event was not from this earth! 100 percent certain!! This is why I want other's that are experts with photography, aliens, ufo's, etc to help me learn more about what occurred. I am just as curious about aliens, ufo's etc as many other people are! I know that what I captured is significant and unusual evidence that can help us to discover what we seek to know!

I also know like most all of us know that the gov't is also very interested in learning more about aliens and ufo's. I believe they want to learn more about alien craft for air national defense advantages. I am all for national security I just wish they would give public disclosure and admit what they know. Lately gov't vehicles have been watching me when I travel to the area of my Vision from 2007. For those that don't know marked and un marked gov't vehicles are almost always either black or white in color with solid black tinted windows. I saw many of these vehicle here 2 weeks post Katrina the largest disaster in U.S. history.

I will also include the zoomed in image that looks like the alien is holding something in the air. This image appears on the drivers side door of the strange car. Description: Last night I posted on facebook that I would be traveling out to the Visions area (highway 90). This is the area where I witnessed an animal on highway 90 that appears not to be from this earth. Numerous zoologists and cryptozoologists have looked at the photo of this animal and they cannot determine what kind of animal it is! Many say it looks like it is made up of many types of different animals.

I witnessed this back on March 2, 2007 and there was a mustang on the scene with two police cars there. The mustang was damaged as if it struck the animal and the front windshield was shattered. Two people were on the scene and one appeared to be the driver of the car and the other a police officer. I looked into one of the two police cars on the scene and the windows of the car were so black I could not even see in the front window! The pictures I captured where from inside my car since this whole thing looked strange. This is why I decided to capture only two pictures that night.

About 8 hours later when I went back to the scene there was no blood from the animal, no animal, no car, no glass, nothing! Everything had vanished and the police departments in the area have no record of this occurring! See my other videos for pictures of the animal and car and more info.

Last night the two vehicles you see in this video appear to block me for miles so I cannot pass them. These trucks were black and white with BLACK tinted windows. The same color vehicles that the government used during Katrina when they were in the New Orleans area. These vehicles do not have gov't plates but I am sure they have some vehicles that are not marked as being owned by the gov't.

The strangest thing is the white vehicle has the word SPY on it's plate. I have never seen any plate with that word on it. Maybe a statement that we are watching you? The vehicle passed me and slowed down as if to make sure I noted that it had black tinted windows and the word SPY on the plate. Maybe this is there way of letting me know they are also watching this area with me? I know that the gov't has great interest in UFO's and aliens! Next time I will have to go without noting what I am doing publicly so maybe I can capture something from another planet in the area. I know we all want to know the truth and learn more about aliens! The Gauthier family woke one morning to find a cross of moist salt on the front porch. The neighbors gathered and the newspapers carried headlines concerning the symbol that warned of trouble for the members of the household. Voodoo and hoodoo though subjugated over the years, still exists in New Orleans.

If you lived almost anywhere else in the United States, you might simply sweep the porch and think it was just a prank. But if you live in Louisiana, you'll probably react differently....for a cross of salt, in the vernacular of hoodoo, means trouble.

That is why Mr. and Mrs. Gauthier of New Orleans thought twice before sweeping away the cross of salt that they found on their porch. It is also why neighbors flocked to the Gauthier home to examine it and why the newspapers carried headlines about it. Voodoo and hoodoo has not abandoned New Orleans.

Hoodoo and conjure are emerging from the shadows and into the lives of everyday people. There seems to be more root workers, two-headed doctors, conjurers, Voodooists, and hoodoos more than ever before. People are flocking to related social networking sites hungry for information about taking control of their lives, defending themselves from their enemies, thriving in a recession, and connecting to their dead loved ones. Websites featuring “love doctors”, “rootworkers” and “Spiritual Mothers” offer a variety of psychic and spiritual services and carry the hard to get sticks, stones, roots and bones needed by the multifarious conjurer. Hoodoo no longer belongs to the poor black demographic of the deep South as historically depicted. Practitioners cross all racial, ethnic, political, geographic and socioeconomic line.

So...what is hoodoo? In it's purest form, hoodoo taps into the elemental belief that every living thing has "Spirit." Every rock, tree, root, and stone is connected to a single Divine energy and as such, is Divine energy. The practitioner understands that it is the root that connects and grounds the universal life force; thus, the ultimate power lies within the root.

When enslaved Africans came to the Louisiana delta directly from Africa, they arrived with intact, encyclopedic knowledge of the use of herbs, roots, bones, natural elements and their spiritual qualities. According to Dahomean cosmology, the knowledge of how to utilize the sacred herbs, roots, bones, and other natural elements for controlling and changing one’s destiny was given to them from Papa Legba, who received the knowledge from the "Forest Spirits."

As a result of slavery, tribes and families were separated, religious expression was forbidden and the traditional transmission of the venerable knowledge of the African religion of Vodou and spiritual traditions such as Ju Ju were all but stopped. Tragically, the trauma associated with slavery forced a separation of the magic and religious aspects of Vodou. The response to this psychic disturbance was to adopt and assimilate similar beliefs and practices of the indigenous peoples of North America and European immigrants to fill in the blanks...forming what we call hoodoo today.

The practice of Voodoo is probably as old as the African continent itself. Sometimes written Voudou, Vodou or Voudun, the word itself means God Creator or Great Spirit. It has been greatly distorted and misused; human sacrifices, vampires, dripping blood and devil worship all make the stuff of spooky novels and Hollywood movies. Yet none of these originated with or ever belonged to Voodoo.

It was not until the 1930's that Louisiana Voodoo went underground when New Orleans became a major tourist destination. The slave trade brought the African belief in spirits and when the slaves got to New Orleans it was not long before the African Voodoo and the Roman Catholic Church mixed to become Louisiana Voodoo.

Along came the Voodoo Queens like Marie Laveau who was known as the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. It is said that before long it became known that Marie Laveau was the strongest ever of the Voodoo Queens and Marie Laveau conducted private rituals behind her house on St Ann's street in the French Quarter of New Orleans.

It was Marie Laveau who encouraged her followers to attend Catholic Mass and it was Marie Laveau who mixed Catholic traditions and beliefs into her Voodoo to make it uniquely Louisiana Voodoo.

Even today devout voodoo followers travel to Marie Laveau's tomb to try to get a favor from the Voodoo Queen herself. Marie Laveau was a devout Catholic up to the time of her death. Ever since her death people have claimed to see Marie Laveau walking through the French Quarter of New Orleans.

Modern Voodoo has taken several directions: Spiritualist Reverends and Mothers who have their own churches, Hoodoos who integrate and work spells and superstitions, elements of European witchcraft and the occult, and traditionalists for whom the practice of Voodoo is a most natural and important part of their daily lives, a positive search for ancient roots and wisdom. The practice of Voodoo involves the search for higher levels of consciousness in the belief that -as indeed all of the ancient scriptures teach - it is we who must open the way towards the Gods. for when we call out from our hearts, the Gods hear and indeed are compelled to respond.
