St. Clair Shores, Michigan: USO, UFO and Alien Entity Encounters

After reading the following UFO/USO report in the MUFON CMS this morning I decided to look back at previous activity in the same general vicinity:

MUFON CMS - St. Clair Shores, Michigan - 12/1996 - unedited: This event I've never been able to explain. Witnessed by a friend at the time as well, so I know it wasn't imagined. It had to of been 96' or 97' at the time. St Clair Shores had just finished it's annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the 11 mile and Jefferson Library. On our way home the three of us (me, my mom and my friend) stopped at a party store which no longer runs on the corner of 13 mile and Jefferson. As my mom went into the store my buddy and I waited in the car and were amazed by what we saw. As we were looking out the window in the east/south/east direction over the lake we noticed a light high in the sky was descending from further south over the lake to north lining up with the direction 13 mile points into the lake. It stayed about the same distance from the shore which I'd have to estimate at about a statue mile but still relatively high at roughly a couple thousand feet until it lined up pretty much exactly with 13 mile and went into a straight downward descent at a mile offshore. As it neared the horizon and water level out there on the lake it slowed drastically and orange and green sequencing illuminations were present. The shape appeared to be saucer on the bottom with larger dome on the top. It entered the water very slowly as we had 10-15 seconds of viewing the lights and the craft to get totally freaked out as it disappeared underwater still somewhat illuminating the water from below far offshore. We said nothing to each other the whole time, then my mother returned to the car, and as we said nothing and craned our necks to watch for anything else she drove off. My mother proceeded to drop my friend off without us saying anything.At the time there was no houses left of the house with the big anchor at the end of 13 mile so the viewing was uninhibited.

MUFON CMS Report - Clair Shores, Michigan - 1979 (unedited): This is the encounter my mother had back in 1979/1980 in St. Claire Shores Mich at the playground/ballfield by Talbot st.& New York st. It was 7:00pm maybe 8:00pm, August or Sept, she was 45 yrs old & I was 10 yrs old or so, and my sister was 16yrs old. my mother just recalled this past incident about 4 or 5 months ago,and told my sister the story, who then informed me of it this past July. It began that evening, my mother took our dog Rocky out for a walk, she is never gone more than hour or so, but that all changed during this walk. After an hour I began to worry, I must have told my sister because she clearly remembers me being alarmed.

Here is the story my mother conveyed: While I was walking Rocky across the park/ballfield I noticed odd lights all different colors flashing on the ground,I thought It was strange that utility workers would be working at this time in the late evening. Next I saw several who I thought were small children all around me. They didn't look like normal kids though and then they began to talk to me,not through their mouths,but through their minds. I heard them clearly in my mind. The beings said why don't you come with us, and I said to where,and one of said to our craft right over there. I said no i'm busy why should I go with you, and they responded because we want to help you.Then another being asked me what is that next to you? before I could answer one other being said that's her pet. Then one of them said again come with us we want to help you, I told them if you want to help me you should go to Washington. What is Washington? one of them said. After that exchange my mother says she remembers very little.A note to the reader, I had an encounter in my yard when I was 7 or 8 years of age. a craft was hovering over our front yard and I saw 3 beings staring down upon me from inside the craft, which was about 60 or 70 ft above me. Also my sister saw a UFO hovering near her while she was on her bike, she was 10 or 11 at the time, and it occurred at Talbot st and New York st also. Our house is only 5 or 6 houses from New York st. Today the house is still there, but nobody resides there yet. By the way my childhood friend & his family always told me & others that our house was haunted,because they saw bluish glowing or bluish orbs over our rooftop more than once back in the late 70's.

Further Description of Sighting: There were two Lights that were low alt and very fast with no sound. They were not fighters, they were not sats. One light was flying evenly right behind the other leading towards the east north east. The two lights took less that a minute to fly out of sight. I have never seen any planes fly like that most if not all fighters fly in wings, not one & one behind the other. Dang wish we had a camera! - myufo.com

I saw a streak of light in the sky while turning south onto Little Mack Ave. in St. Clair Shores, MI 48081 in 1978 or 1979 (I never could remember the year). I was traveling from east to west as I turned onto Little Mack Ave. It was a Friday. I thought that it was a reflection off the wing of a plain or something, and remember it was just dusk at the time and there was still a sunset to the west. Just ahead, at Matin Rd., I saw it coming closer, so I turned west onto Martin Rd. at the intersection (I could never remember if I had to stop at the traffic light there at all, but I know there is one at that intersection), and then I turned directly left into a church parking lot. The disk like craft came down directly over the church/rectory and hovered about 20 ft. above it. I just couldn't believe it. It was silently rotating with bright lights coming off the bottom ot it. It was disk-like with a very wide band of windows around the middle of the thing. Thinking back now, the wide band of windows must not have been rotating with the rest of the craft. It was very early spring time, and I had some young chilren in the back set of the car. I sat parked and looking up at it right straight out of my front windshield. There were people/beings (?) looking down at me. It looked like some sort of open spaced mess hall inside with them sitting around squarish tables. Two of them then were standing up and came up to the windows, and they just started down at me and the car. Others at the tables then turned their heads as if to notice my car. They had shoulder length light hair.

Their hair styles reminded me of the old page-boy style from years ago. They seemed to have on some sort of jump-suit. I remember thinking that one of them must have been female. I knew they could see me, and it felt really weird to me that they could see me and knew I was there. I can't remember if I'd turned my car engine off or if my car was still runnig (I've always wondered about that). I could see right into their craft. It was very brightly lit up inside. I don't remember seeing/hearing any other traffic lights/car noises or anything. It just seemed totally dark out, and there was no noise at all. I remember I had my hands on the steering wheel. Then all of a sudden the craft went right up about aprox. 100 ft. (maybe less), and it veered off to the south-west slowly at first, then it went at lighting speed till it was just a pin prick of light in the sky. I thought that someone else must have seen the thing (no other cars were around at all, no traffic nothing), and I wanted to see where it went. So, I left the parking lot by it's exit onto a side street, whick I took till I got to 11 Mile Rd. But, by then it wasn't visable at all. I turned left (east) onto 11 Mile Rd., and I considered going to the police station there at Jefferson Ave., but thought they'd think I was crazy. I noticed some traffic then. So, I didn't stop at the station, but just turned and contiuned on. I don't know why I just went home, and I didn't think/talk about it at all that night, nor all weekend. Also, I didn't phone or tell anyone about it that night either. The children in the back seat were to young to remember what happened. It's possible it may have taken place early in the spring of 1978. I could never remember the date/year at all, but have tried to often. For some reason I can't, but my best guess is that it was in 1979. I know (I'm positive) it was a Friday near dusk when I saw this. I didn't feel afraid, but there was some mild fear when the two figures were at the window of their craft looking down at my car.

I think I felt this way because I had young children in the back seat of my car with me. I was also in awe that this thing was hovering so close by me over a church/rectory. I didn't have to streach my neck up or back to see it out of my front car windshield at all. It was just like watching something on screen right out of my car windshield. I remember it was totally black out as I watched this thing from the driver's seat of my car. I've wondered about it being totally dark out then, since I could see the sunset when I was turning south onto Little Mack Ave. just a little bit before. I also never took noticed of the time when I got home. The next Tuesday, on the car radio I heard that there were sightings of UFO's over northern MI. I've never talked about this with anyone. I'm an educated person with advanced degrees, and I want to remain totally anonymous and not be contacted by anyone. I felt I had to tell MUFON about what I saw and I hope that it may be of some help to you and also others. The above phone # and email address are not mine, but bogus I'm sorry to say. I know that most people are usually too busy to look up and take notice of the skies above. But, what most people don't understand... is that if they only knew why lurks above them in the dark hours of night... and the daylight of day, then they would have the most profound awakening to the shocking reality... that would move the very foundations of their own souls!

Starting about a month ago, I became aware of these strange glowing lights in the sky when I looked out the second story window of my house in Bartlett, Illinois. Living here for 19 years, and knowing that O'Hare Airport is in that direction, I thought nothing of it. I thought they were probably just planes or helicopters. It was strange, as I had not seen anything like this before, though. That's what stuck out at me. These objects stayed in one relative spot. They moved, but not erratically. Just slightly around each other. I noticed they would stay in patterns. Either these objects would form a triangular configuration, or take a linear configuration. I thought this was something pretty strange if they were conventional aircraft. I also noticed that they don't blink. They glow, and slightly flicker. These objects would appear out of nowhere starting around 6 PM CST, and they would stay for hours, usually ending around 9 PM CST. I have never seen these objects during the day. On February 14, 2010, I decided to try to record them (for a second time), as they appeared at dusk instead of the usual night time, and it would be easier for my camera to capture them. After recording the video, I uploaded it to my computer. I took a screenshot of a scene in the video, put it into Photoshop, and used the "emboss" effect to see exactly what shape these objects took. What I saw really surprised me. They were showing up as spheres. Six of them, in a triangular pattern with three smaller ones in the middle. When my sightings first started, there were only 3 of these lights visible. As time has progressed, these sightings have become more and more frequent, with more objects. Now almost nightly, I can see at least 5 of them, and usually no more than 8. As I have stated, these objects will stay for hours on end. I have watched these objects closely hoping to catch them doing some crazy UFO-like behavior, like zooming back up into space, but all they do is kind of "fade out," and I lose sight of them. This does not happen EVERY night, but close to it now. Seeing these objects make me more confused than anything. If they are planes, how are they visible for so long? Why don't the lights get bigger as they get closer, or smaller as they get farther? If they are helicopters, why do they glow instead of blink or flash? Why do they show up in the EXACT same spot so frequently, and hover for so long? Why don't I ever see them move anywhere, except around each other in a relative manner? I will attach the original screen shot taken from my video, the embossed version of the screen shot, and the video itself so you can decide. You can also check out the link at the end of this to see my discussion with other people, who have confirmed the lights are not a radio tower or something of the like. What they are remains a mystery to me.

MUFON CMS - Almont, Michigan - Fall 1990 - unedited: Thought I would resubmit this sighting because it sounds like the Romeo sighting report you have posted in 1988. I would be interested in finding out from those whitnesses If my sketches looked similar to the craft they saw. If you can contact them and ask I would appreciate it. There have been so many instances of really great close up sightings in the Michigan thumb area. It really is an intrest of mine. I believe *(Name deleted--CMS/sg) was involved in quite a few of them.
I did report this about several years ago to *(Name deleted--CMS/sg), I'm not sure why I waited so long but for some reason it really started to occupy my thoughts. We had several emails about it and he seemed very interested, he eventually referred me to someone from the Michigan Mutual UFO Network, he emailed me a few times and that was it. To tell you the truth I just felt better telling someone that had an interest in it, but I'm not sure if the guy either believed me, or just wasn't interested. I will give you a brief summery, to me this was the most unusual event in my life and I still think about it daily.

It was the fall of 1990, I was in my home in Almont, MI. That time of year it gets dark quite early, it must of been around 8:00 p.m., "the times are now just an approximation". My son, who at the time was around 12 came running in the house saying there was a UFO right outside our house. Let me add at this point I was not one that believed in UFOs. I went outside and my son pointed south and upwards and said look! The funny thing was at first I didn't see anything, but I did notice it was unusually dark, then I noticed a very dim light, I suddenly realized that the reason it was so dark was that there was a huge craft right over our driveway. It was at tree top level and was moving north at a very slow pace, "approximately a slow walking speed". There was a very distinct humming, exactly like a large transformers hums,but you could feel the sound the resonance was so low. There was a very dull light in the middle and as it traveled down or driveway I made out a row of windows around the craft, the windows looked very large. I remember walking down the driveway with my son, then the next thing I remember is standing out in the field north of my house still looking at the UFO, when suddenly it went from approximately 90 or 100 ft straight up in the sky to where it was a pinpoint of light. It just looked like another star. This happened in under a second. We continued to watch it for quite awhile when it took off in a northwesterly direction like a meteor and was gone in a second. There are allot of things I can describe if your interested, but this is the basic part.
I don't feel like I was abducted, but I honestly do not remember how I got from my driveway and then in the field. I ask my son about it and he remembers things the way I do, but what I find unusual is that 1. I didn't really focus on it that much after the initial day it happened until a few years ago. 2. My son doesn't seem as interested as I am, even though he is a very intelligent guy. I was a flight simulator instructor in the air force and I have allot of knowledge regarding aircraft. This will always go down as the most bizarre day in my life. By the way, it seemed like I was being watched by someone in the window, but it was like you could only make out a shadow. I am now fascinated by UFO's and I know that there out there. Please, if you have any more questions feel free to ask. Almont is about 20 SE of Brown City. I have never seen another unusual craft. This was defiantly a UFO, there is no other explanation for it, I am the type of guy that checks his facts, there is nothing on our planet that I am aware of that could do what I saw! The pilots would be dead just from the G forces. It surprises me that there have been so many incidences in that area and I never heard about it. From my house to the field was approximately 1000 feet, " you would think that with what was going on, I would remember that sort of distance". I am not really concerned weather anyone believes me or not, unless it is someone that is suppose to investigate this sort of thing. They really need to have an open mind and check the facts. The last few years I have gotten increasingly interested in this subject and there have only been a few incidences that I have read about where people have been as close as I was. I guess I am just intrigued. It really fascinates me!
I was so close, 90 ft. The funny thing about it was I didn't feel threatened, In a weird way I felt like it was something from our future, as bizarre as that sounds. I feel that we need to have confidence in our instincts, I felt like I was on display and really being watched. One thing I didn't mention and to this day I am not sure why I didn't act, is that I am a professional photographer. What a dummy! the shot of a life time and I didn't even think about it. This is another thing I cant explain, I take my cameras everywhere with me. The first ten years, I would occasionally ask my son if he remembered everything about that night and he would say yes, but not really want to talk about it. It seemed like more of a dream. WHY? Neither my son or I am the type of person not to act on something so significant, an event of a life time. Another factor about that night was the route the craft was traveling, right down my driveway. My power lines go right down the drive and sometime that winter I had to call Edison out, they told me that the wires were completely bare" no insulation at all", and had to replace them, including the transformer. I am not sure if it relates, but I have read stories about these craft using power lines.

UFOS Over Kentucky

dailyindependent - Larry and Cathy Martin weren’t expecting to see an unidentified flying object as they delivered copies of The Independent early Wednesday morning, although both say they had plenty of time to watch the oblong object with red-and-green lights hovering in the sky before it suddenly gained altitude and flew off to the west.
A spokesman for the Greenup County 911 Center said a call was received shortly before 2:30 a.m. Wednesday reporting a UFO “moving and darting around” in the western sky with a “pulsating red light.”

The Martins, who have been delivering The Independent for six or seven years, said they noticed police officers looking into the early-morning sky and became curious about what they might be looking at.

“We were passing papers and saw the police in the parking lot at the animal clinic (Guardian Animal Medical Center in Flatwoods) with binoculars. I asked what they were doing and they said they got a UFO?call,” Larry Martin said, explaining the officers then handed him their binoculars so he could see for himself.

“I saw a red-and-green light, not moving at all. It was kind of long … oblong,” he said, later describing the object as being shaped like a cigar. “I watched it for probably 10 minutes.”

His wife, Cathy, provided further details.

“The object was hovering for about 10 minutes. It was oblong with red-and-green lights. It was too high to be a helicopter and not high enough to be an airplane,” she said. “It then rose up real fast and took off to the west and it was gone completely out of sight. We didn’t know what it was. The police said they didn’t know what it was either.”

While she doesn’t deny the object might have been a weather balloon or some other more common object, Mrs. Martin said she is certain she would have recognized the object if it had been an airplane or a helicopter, adding her husband is a Vietnam veteran who would have easily identified the object if it had been a chopper.

“He said there was no way it was a helicopter,” she said with certainty.

John Parker at the Ashland Regional Airport in Worthington said that facility was “closed and locked up tighter than a drum” at that time in the morning, and added he was personally unaware of any aircraft in local airspace that might have been confused for an unidentified flying object.

An air-traffic controller in the tower at Tri-State Airport said, “Not that I’m aware of,” when asked if he had any knowledge of anything that might have appeared to be a UFO in the local skies early Wednesday morning.

Strange Encounter in Cheboygan County, Michigan - Is The 'Dogman' Back?

I received the following email from Mike on Saturday. He describes a recent encounter with an unknown creature in an undisclosed area near Cheboygan, Michigan (northern Michigan):

Hey, I'm Mike from the Cheboygan, MI area. This is true what I am about to describe. On November 24, 2010 me and two of my friends went out at night around 12 am. We were not hunting but had weapons. We were looking for a spot to set up our blinds for the muzzleloading season when we crossed from a field with tons of deer beddings. We came into another field with none whatsoever. We continued through this field and came across some kind of game trail. We decided to venture down this trail into the woods.

We got maybe 300 yards back in it and started hearing heavy breathing and snapping sounds in the thick brush to our right. We thought maybe coyotes but we got to a corner and were stopped in our track. In front of us, maybe 60 yards away, was something blacker than the woods standing on two feet and stood between 6'8" and 7'4". We slowly turned away and back tracked. Before we got to the field the same thing was in front of us again. We turned around for a second and then turned back...it was gone.

When we got into the field we noticed there were four or more of these creatures, one on each corner of the field just standing there. We saw one move halfway behind a tree. At this point we were freaking out. We made our way through the field and got to the edge and there was one standing directly in the middle of the trail entering the woods. We hauled butt back home and the whole way we felt like we were being watched and stalked.

We have been out every night since then. We have learned do not use lights because it comes closer than 60 yards. The closest it has been to me was maybe 25 yards and was moving closer. At that point I shot at it. There were five total that we saw the fist night and after I shot at one. We went out last night and there were only four and they seemed more aggressive. In the field, it seems they tried herding us into a corner.

You can believe this or not, but I am in the Michigan National Guard and I put what I saw on my warrior ethos and army values.

Back in July 2009, I received the following emails in reference to at least 2 sightings of a supposed 'Dogman' in Baraga County, Upper Peninsula, Michigan. I contacted the witness who seemed very truthful and credible:

Last fall, my son and I were driving on US-41/M-28 towards Three Lakes in Michigan's Upper Peninsula (where I live). The beast ran across the highway near Tioga Creek. I had not heard of this before reading Phantoms and Monsters, but this is exactly what we saw. We are familiar with all animals living here. Moose regularly cross in front of drivers, so we watch the sides of the roads carefully. We were very puzzled and thought it might be some mutant wolf and could not figure out what we witnessed. It ran fairly fast about 50 feet in front of our truck. It was so strange because the front of it was much higher up than the back, larger than a wolf. Very strange to see it on your website.

NOTE: I contacted the witness and asked for any further detail of the sighting. This is what I received:

It did not look exactly like the video or drawings I saw, but VERY close. The side view shape of the animal was almost like an ape shape, with the front legs longer than the back legs which made it run funny. It ran like a bear runs, with the exception of the back legs being shorter if you can picture that. The front, from the angle I saw, looked like it must of had a wide chest. The head appeared wolf-like, but it definitely was NOT a wolf. The color was brown and black mixed. The hair seemed med-long, like a wolf, and I remember thinking it might of had mange, must of had patches of hair missing.

I was telling my son, who is 13, about what I had found on your site and asked him what he remembered. He gave the same description, how very strange and out of place it was. He said that this spring he saw the same type of thing on a logging road near our house (I do remember him telling me that at that time) and it was the same thing. He was riding his dirt bike (we live in an extremely remote area) and it ran across the trail. I know where he is talking about because I pick berries there and do get a weird feeling like something is watching me. A neighbor told me that area is "Bigfoot Central", which I did not know or believe. But after doing further research today, there are a lot of reports of strange creatures in this area that go back many, many years.

Who knows what it is, but as long as it's not hurting anything, I hope it is left alone. I am very familiar with the wildlife. I do hunt and know my tracks. I have not seen any strange tracks, but now will really keep my eyes open. Please keep me informed if you get any other reports from my area. Rhonda

In April 2009, I also read about an account in Wisconsin, but with a different twist:

My girlfriend and I went out to feed deer for the hunting opener on Nov. 22, 2008. We were in the Chequamegon National Forest in northern Wisconsin. It was November 21, 2008 and the time was 12:10 AM, it was totally dark out and light snow was falling with an accumulation of about 1 inch covering the roads. The Temperature was 11*F and the wind was blowing from the northwest with a wind chill of 0*F. We made a U-turn to the left onto an unfinished ATV trail in one of our 4X4 Pickups heading towards last years feed pile.

I got to the bottom of the hill and backed in and parked. I got out my pistol and loaded it, I then put it in my holster, I grabbed my headlight with 3 LED bulbs and secured it on my head, I handed her a shaker LED flashlight and proceeded to the back of my truck where I had a 5 gallon bucket with just under 2 gallons of corn and 3 apples in it strapped down with 2 of my ATV straps. I put the tailgate down, unstrapped the bucket and put the tailgate up. I walked around my side and then in front of the truck to her passenger side as she was putting mittens on. We both started to walk together, her just behind and to my right side when we both noticed a fresh set of tracks in the snow heading down wind of us in the same direction we where walking.

At first it was not the size that caught my attention, it was "WHAT IN GOD'S CREATION MADE THESE TRACKS" immediately my skinned crawled as I looked around with my head to see if what we just had come up on was in sight. I glanced back down in disbelief at the tracks. I was in a slight stage of shock as I looked at her she looked at me and we both looked down at 4 well-formed footprints of some kind of scary tracks that either of us had ever seen before. I sized my shoe beside one of the tracks and realized it was about 3 inches longer than my shoe which measures 12 inches heel to toe, and about 1 inch wider than my shoe which measures 4 inches at it's widest width. Whatever we witnessed the foot prints of has 2 pointed talons on the end of it's foot that are isometrically the same with a rectangle shaped heel. The talons joined on the outside and at the same length in between the talons on each foot. They are 15 inches long and 5 inches wide with 64-inch strides. I have a 36-inch stride at 5'10" tall to give an idea of the possible size of this creature, running or not we do not know.

I believe we just missed seeing what caused these tracks and what ever made the tracks was still in the area and possibly watching us. My girl told me to load my pistol and keep it out, I did not argue. At first she wanted to leave right away but the sheer adrenaline and interest of what caused the tracks I believe is what kept us there. I said "okay let's get out of here" but again, interest kept us there looking at the tracks. My fear slightly subsided enough to think about the upcoming deer opener and decided I have the pistol and we will be okay. I started to walk the same way the tracks went up a hill on the trail when I stopped and looked back at her while she was still staring down at the prints. I said "come on lets get this over with" she caught up to me as we walked together, she said to me, "if this thing gets a hold of me put a bullet in my head" I thought about that as we kept walking. We went deep into the woods down a steep hill where I new the feed pile was from last year. We got to where I wanted the pile to be, I took the lid off the bucket and dumped the corn and apples out and stepped on the apples, I snapped the lid back on the bucket and said "let's go" We started to climb the hill when I realized we where off track and had to walk left to reach the trail to get back to the truck. I started to think that this was the scariest thing I have ever encountered and felt panic over coming me. I new where I was and finally we got back on the trail and walked down to where we could see the tracks of the creature again. We both stared at them for about 5 minutes. When we got back to the truck just 20 yards from the prints, she got in and closed her door. I went behind the truck, opened the tailgate and re strapped the bucket down and closed the tailgate. I got to my side of the truck and took the clip out of my gun and got in. I threw my head light off my head as we drove away thinking and then I said, "I am not coming back here" and she agreed. We where both scared and could not believe what just happened.

It was a month earlier and 1.1 miles walking through the woods from where we witnessed the tracks that a different friend and I where camping. I went to bed early and fell into a deep sleep. I woke up to the sound of my friend walking behind the tent and my first reply was "what are you doing back there?" I woke up a little more and realized my friend was sleeping, breathing kind of loud next to me. I sat up against my gear and grabbed my pistol and flashlight and sat there cold and scared in the dark. I woke my friend up and told him what I could hear and he said, "Ah it was probably a deer or something" The temperature was around 26*F. I looked out the flaps of the tent and could see the fire had died down and it was dark out there. I stood up and told my friend that I was going to the truck to warm up and get some sleep. I asked him if he wanted me to leave the pistol and he said, "no I'll be alright". I left the tent and walked to my truck about 80 yards away and started it up to get warm. I turned my lights on a few different times to see if what had walked by the tent was in sight. I did not see anything; I turned my truck off and fell asleep.

Whatever walked by the tent was bipedal and made 2 steps into my sound range and out again. I did not hear any other noise from what ever walked by. I looked around the next morning for footprints but leaves covered the ground and I did not detect anything. A little more than 2 years earlier. It was summer and I was at this same location riding my ATV alone, I stopped and got off walking down to a near by lake and was looking at the water and how clear it is when I could hear up on the hill above the camp ground we had stayed at a huge tree snap and hit the ground with a big thump as branches snapped off it and other trees as it fell. I got back to my ATV quickly at the time thinking a bear or buck was up there and I was not sticking around to find out. 2 months later that summer I returned to this spot again riding my ATV, I shut off the wheeler and stood around close by thinking about the last time I was there I was scared off by something. I was there about 5 minutes when all of a sudden I could hear branches snapping off of trees as what ever was breaking branches was coming down the hill closer to where I was. I got on my wheeler never to return until my friend and I camped there a little over 2 years later in October. My first 2 experiences with this creature while I was alone made me think it was possibly a bear or a buck deer, trouble with this theory is that I have come up on bear a dozen or so times and every time, the bear is running as fast as it can in another direction and what ever was making the tree sounds was not running any where. A deer also runs away at the first presence of a human. Now that we witnessed these creatures’ footprints I put the puzzle pieces together and realize that this creature is living in this area and it has probably been there for a long, long, long time. I have learned it means us no harm (yet). It only makes a sound when I am alone (tree breaking). It is always down wind of me (us). It is out in the day and or night. It can see in the dark. It uses the wind to it's advantage every chance it gets. It can hear well. It can smell good. It waits until we are vulnerable to approach us when 2 of us are together. I could possibly have smelled it and did not know what I smelled. I (we) have put 4,000 miles in this forest on my Grizzly ATV through deep desolate, thick wooded, swamp, lake areas and have now proved to ourselves that this undocumented at this time creature is in fact out there.

I know where this creature is living and plan on an expedition to prove its existence. I want to document this creature because I feel everyone that enters the forest has a right to know it is there and for other various reasons. I am open to any and all that would like to comment or ask questions in discussing my encounters with this creature(s).

NOTE: Approximately a year ago, the 'Michigan Dogman' film was proven to be a hoax but there have been several sightings of this cryptid nonetheless. Is this a werewolf like species? A Bigfoot or Sasquatch? Something completely different perhaps? What are your thoughts? Lon
